Rewatching that scene in Voyager’s “Survival Instinct” (season 6, episode 2) was inspiration for this edit to come together. It is such a powerful scene between Chakotay and Seven because we see the latter make a decision on her own - and that decision is to live no matter how fleeting. One of the best aspects of the character of Seven of Nine was that she was a survivor and despite her circumstances she overcame everything in her own unique way. Her newfound compassion and inner wisdom was a guiding force in her development ✨
