TLDR: javon is 20 years old with a rare brain cancer. he needs surgery ASAP or he will only have 1 year left to live. donate to help pay for the surgeries. the money donated will go to paying for this surgery in addition to costs of living, recovery treatment, and physical therapy.
this is not somebody i know personally, but IS someone dear to a friend of mine. if possible, it would be an amazing holiday gift to javon and his family and friends if you supported him. here is more information from the gofundme:
"Our dear friend Javon Mouzon, at just 20 years old, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called a malignant acoustic neuroma at the beginning of the year. This cancer is spreading to other parts of his brain, including his hearing and cognitive functions.
The cancer is mostly affecting the left side of his body, including his left ear, resulting in him losing about 80% of his hearing in that ear. Due to where the cancer is located, it can cause him to be off balance, making it difficult for him to walk. This has also affected his left eye, in which he is slowly losing sight. He has also regularly experienced seizures and severe headaches, which can affect his day-to-day routine, ability to work, and play music. Javon also suffers from memory loss and is at a high risk for aneurysms.
For the last eleven months, Javon has been undergoing treatment, which includes chemotherapy. While undergoing this treatment, he has been working 40-hour workweeks and working on music gigs when he has the time. Though at times this isn’t enough, and due to his financial situation, he has often had to sell his belongings to make ends meet.
Recently, doctors have discovered that cancer has begun to spread to the occipital nerve and other parts of his brain, which can affect his cognitive function and depth perception. As this cancer has progressed, these side effects have worsened; he has been taking chemotherapy and Lamictal for seizures. For the better part of a year, the cancer had been stabilizing until recently, when his doctors discovered it had begun to spread once again. The doctor is now requesting that Javon receive surgery, as the cancer will continue to spread and make his condition even worse, and if he does not receive this surgery, he will only have about one year to live.
Once Javon undergoes surgery, he will need a significant amount of assistance to help maintain his home and body while he recovers from his surgery; Having added and estimated his total finances together, we have determined that he will have trouble supporting himself financially, as he will be unable to perform his job and even regular functions for some time as the recovery period will last about six to eight weeks in the hospital, and once he is released, will have to undergo physical therapy for about four to five months.
This time period will be detrimental to Javon's financial responsibilities, and this surgery will have an overall lasting effect on him. We ask for your support and help during these times to help our beloved friend maintain a good quality of life. These funds will help him pay for many of his expenses, as well as support for his medical bills. We thank you for all your support and well wishes, and we will continue to help Javon with this endeavor as much as possible."

This is diabolical, the fact that she is doing this when creating the artistic concepts for her first two albums and leaning into that zany ha drawn aesthetic only to turn around and use AI is diabolical. Fuck this!!! Having a meltdown because why would she betray us like this 😭😭😭

Chrollo: it just looks like that naturally. everyone is jealous. low maintenance
Nobu: takes a brush to it every once and a while. usually spends more time shaving than brushing. low maintenance
Feitan: cuts his own hair. otherwise wears his hair however he's feeling at that stage of his life (see emo fei and broom fei from the flashbacks). mid maintenance
Machi: brushes it as often as she can. her hair is also naturally pink. low maintenance
Phinks: changes it on the week unless he's working. lots of hair gel and whatever machine grease he was using as a child. high maintenance
Shalnark: long or short bro lets that shit do whatever it do. plus autopilot usually brushes it for him. does not cut his own hair. low maintenance
Shizuku: those curls are not natural. mid maintenance
Paku: cuts and styles her own hair. very particular about the products used and usually hand picks them. high maintenance

Uvogin: i seriously need someone to tell me what is going on with his hair. assuming it's thin, that's just raw dbz aura. assuming it's thick that's some kind of wicks, formerly an afro. i dont know. anyway: high maintenance including hair dye.
Kortopi: uses some scented soaps and hair conditioner. takes good care of his hair to keep it nice and smooth. mid maintenance
MUSICAL EXPERTISE
Chrollo: knows advanced music theory and only needs an example to learn how to play an instrument
Nobu: knows how to play two instruments. the shamisen and maybe shakuhachi. shamisen has to come pre-tuned. horrible tuning ear
Feitan: knows how to play most stringed instruments and has perfect pitch. picked it up for fun
Machi: knows how to play any stringed instrument. can feel the vibrations through the strings to find resonance and is her own tuner. does that make any sense? hell no but im going with it
Phinks: guitar. knows two songs and can replicate songs after multiple listens.
Shalnark: knows how to play cello but has given it up after it was no longer needed. has perfect pitch
Franklin: none. hands too big anyway. maybe drums if he can manage not to break them
Shizuku: i mean blinky can probalby sing a mean solo
Pakunoda: plays the flute and still does as a hobby. can read sheet music and perform quite well
Bonolenov: can play any woodwind but prefers to play his own music with his body. also knows how to play piano and has perfect pitch. zero music theory, perfectly replication.
Uvogin: what if i said didgeridoo- nah im kidding. he's tone deaf but has an amazing vocal range. otherwise cant read music and has no interest in learning music
Kortopi: also plays the flute. has perfect pitch and can improvise if asked to.

Franklin: Shalnark - the smartest one outside of chrollo and the first one to look to for answers of any kind. resourceful and quick witted. also childhood friends.
Shizuku: Franklin - the only one who explains stuff when she doesn't know
Pakunoda: Chrollo - childhood friends and the closest thing she's had to a brother.
Bonolenov: Feitan - kindred spirit and doesn't question things as long as they don't threaten the troupe.

At first I was just going to draw my favorite school uniform from the West Kamihama schools, then this image beamed itself into my mind after thinking about Ayame's eyepatch.
so here's a question that's been bugging me: everyone assumes that Mami came up with the name Holy Quintet (which is completely on brand for her tbf) BUT the first time we hear this name is inside Homura’s lanyrinth. Now it was the real Mami in there so it still could have been her but the whole group of 5 teaming up is Homura’s deepest subconscious fantasy, so her coming up with the name also tracks.
so could you make a for who REALLY came up with "Holy Quintet" as the group name: Homura or Mami?
Not something I ever considered before, but I suppose it would make sense for Homura to come up with it because she’s the one (of these two) who knew about Madoka’s status as a god.
Homura didn't *conciously know madoka's status though. She was also a newcomer to an established group in rebellion, so it'd be wierd if she got to name the group i think.
But you're right, it's not italian, which is a trend i think only Homura and Madoka break.
I’m surprised this is even a debate. It’s obviously Mami. She’s the one who named Kyoko’s ability in a Magia Exedra event and forced her to shout it out in battle lol
I can buy Kriemhild Gretchen (Madoka's witch) being trapped inside Homura's shield, sure. But why didn't the Law of Cycles erase it once the Wraith brought it into the world?
She still doesnt get it 100% , but at least she has her girls to help her get through it, bruises, slobber and some cuts are no worrires for mira and rumi if it means keepings their puppy happy
Sometimes I wonder if I’m the one mischaracterizing Chrollo - but then I rethink.
First of all, this isn’t hate. I’ve read many blogs on Tumblr where Chrollo is portrayed that way, and honestly, I don’t mind. In fact, I often enjoy those posts - I wouldn’t read them otherwise. (And there‘s nothing wrong with interpreting a fictional character a certain way, especially if you‘re the one who writes about them!)
So, now that that’s clear, I’d like to share my opinion. If you don’t relate, feel free to stop reading here.
Chrollo is an intelligent, incredibly cunning character - and above all, emotionally detached.
He tries to hide his emotions (the opposite of Hisoka, which is why I like their dynamic: Chrollo is someone who goes to great lengths to suppress or conceal his emotions. Hisoka, on the other hand, is all theatricality. He’s expressive, chaotic, and seemingly ruled by impulse - but underneath that flamboyant exterior, he’s emotionally hollow. One hides something behind nothing, and the other disguises nothing behind everything.)
Back to Chrollo’s emotional detachment: I highly doubt he’s ever been interested in anyone romantically or sexually. I’d even estimate his body count to be zero. It simply doesn’t fit his character to expose himself to that kind of vulnerability - no matter the reason.
And what about his kiss count? I’d say the same. Chrollo probably doesn’t feel comfortable, safe, or stable enough to engage in those kinds of intimate acts. Besides, some people consider their first time (or even their first kiss) special, and I highly doubt Chrollo would want anyone to have that “special first” with him. Not that he cares, but it’s more about what it represents.
What I’m trying to say is this: Chrollo is a complex character, often mischaracterized simply because he’s good looking. It’s never implied that he uses his looks to manipulate anyone, just that he’s handsome.
If you look at the Yorknew arc with Neon, he acts like a bodyguard. Not once do you get the sense that he’s romantically interested or has intentions beyond stealing her ability (like intercourse). He doesn’t flirt with her or anyone else in the entire series (manga included), and he never initiates personal conversations beyond what’s necessary to steal abilities.
No, Chrollo does not actively charm Neon or anyone else in canon. If anyone feels “charmed” by him, it’s purely incidental, not intentional. He doesn’t use his looks to seduce anyone - not in the anime, not in the manga. The idea that he seduces or charms people for their abilities is pure fanon.
Sex seems foreign to Chrollo. He doesn’t see the use in it. He doesn’t want anyone to see him that vulnerable - physically (being naked) and mentally (since intercourse isn’t just physical). The same goes for kissing, though I think he might see it symbolically - maybe a forehead kiss as a goodbye. (Not a casual goodbye, but as a last farewell when someone dies.)
Romantic acts and sex involve direct physical and emotional vulnerability — two things Chrollo actively avoids. He doesn’t want to expose himself that way, not even as a tool.
Sleeping with or kissing someone for an ability would be deeply out of character. He’s too detached, too in control, and sees his body as something to master, not leverage.
(I love yandere stories and want to write some in the future, so that would be the exception - but only then. If Chrollo ever wanted someone as his “darling,” it would take a lot of time for him to come to that point. Romantic acts would happen, sure, but he will need time for this since it’s completely new for him. Chrollo only ever read about intimacy — never lived it — because he’s never seen the appeal.)
For me, Chrollo is probably the least likely person to ever sleep with someone - not just for abilities or information, but in general. He’s read about it countless times, and that’s been enough for him. If he were ever desperate or pent-up (which would be rare), he has his hand.
He’s not cold just for aesthetic reasons - he is deliberately inaccessible, emotionally untouchable, and probably uninterested in traditional intimacy or connection.

finally someone who appreciates ace Chrollo! This post resonates with me pretty well because I also struggle to see him falling for anyone let alone pursue them.
I def think he has pretty privilege and people perceive him as more appreciable because of it, and I think he is well aware of it.
But we never see him use romantic or sexual appeal for his goals,
tho I wouldn’t really put it past him if he really needs to because he’s ready to go above and beyond for what he thinks matters, even if that would disgust him (since he didn’t LIKE the idea of becoming a murderer,either)
I just don’t think many such situations would arise as Chrollo’s very smart and could simply use other means. At the same time, it’s not hard for someone that is as good as acting as he is to fake enough interest and romantic bs for a person to believe him. He doesn’t have to understand or like it, and it would fit in well enough with him faking other societal norms to fit in with people he will never relate to
I do however like the idea that he’s not just disinterested but put off by it. Which makes the amount of thirst and lust that fans (and characters like Hisoka) have for him even more ironic.
I get that the yandere scenario is an own genre by now that presupposes certain behaviours regardless of canon, but I can’t really see Chrollo or the other spiders for that matter opening up to some random person who did nothing to incentivise it, let alone force someone to do intimate things with them. Chrollo especially is someone you would have to force into a relationship but that wouldn’t work.
He’s afraid to experience and show all the attachment he has for his friends, he refuses to acknowledge the extend of it so why would he ever purposefully attach himself to someone not bound to him by anything? Getting a “darling” would be extremely antithetical to his principles of self inflicted isolation. But maybe that’s why some people wanna see that? Each their own
I know that every single point here is 100% correct and to deny it would be denying the core of who Chrollo is and what he represents, BUT MY HEART CAN’T TAKE IT, I CAN FIX HIM!!!! I AM THE EXCEPTION! (delusional)
