Just have a click through. Great project.
As part of a two week residency at ENJOY, Leeds, I produced a series of interconnected/notatallconnected stories with the other artists. This is the result. Well, this is half of the result, the other half is primarily a hypothetical conversation about where on your body would be best to have an extra phallus.
Vojtech Fröhlich (the guy I presume created this piece due to it being on his Vimeo page).
I've just been told this reminded someone of my piece at Holy Trinity, which I'm rater happy about, due to my piece requiring much less energy. Mad props to this guy though. He did a good job, and it is a really cool way to explore a space.
Today:
Today, I started tutoring. It's bloody difficult, for those of my (ex)tutors that still follows this blog, kudos.
Next week is also the start of a two week collaborative residency at ENJOY Gallery in Leeds. I'll try and get some photos up for the prep day before we kick off. It's going to be fun. I can feel it in my bones.
I'm not sure if Vladimir Umanets is a genius, or a moron. I'm sure we'll find out in due time when his case goes to court. I somehow doubt he'll get away with defacing a Rothko.
I do however, think Yellowism is fantastic, having discovered it about ten minutes a go. I may be proved wrong by further reading. Most isms tend to turn out bad.
Here's loads of photos of flyers...
On the 10th October 2012 Collaborative Title Pending present PLAY, and experimental exhibition of Leeds in its most playful light. Come, drink, be merry, and admire art and stuff.
Between Monday 8th and Wednesday 10th, there is a three day workshop being run with Leeds College of Art's BA (Hons) Art & Design (Interdisciplinary) course, resulting in an exhibition at Holy Trinity Church.
The work will be (broadly) sound, film, mixed media and interactive work, plus whatever else happens.
See you there.
Today:
Today, I killed a fly, mistook someone for Kirsty Wark, watched Dr. No, went shopping in Poundland for BB guns and Frazzles, printed and cut 150 flyers and topped it all off with some toast.
Next week's looking utterly hectic, but it'll be worth it. See here tomorrow for progress photos.
Update.
Apparently I've been working a few too many projects to bother blogging recently. My bad.
It's been an incredible few months for Open Set. ArtsFestUK being the highlight. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for next year. Twitter boost not being the least of the reasons.
Collaborative Title Pending (Keep you eyes and ears peeled(?)) have been busy and there's an awesome exhibition coming up on the 10th of next month.
Playful Leeds has also been a great project to work on and I hope I can keep in touch with Emma and Claire in the future. Both of you have been fantastic to work with. If you happened to see a pop on shop on Briggate last week, I hope your curiosity got the better of you and you'll be at the next event.
Basically, it's good news all round.
B.
And a busy one at that.
Summer's been packed full of loads of stuff. I'll be updating the website soon, and filling it with loads of new videos, photos, projects and (I've been doing some real(ish) web design for once) a Twitter feed.

I’m reblogging myself (#egotist) with reason here. This keeps coming up in conversation and I keep forgetting who wrote it. It could be fairly integral to a collaborative project I’m embarking on, but we’ll see. For now, remember it’s the important part.
This is my first post leading up to Arts Fest, Birmingham, in September. Thus far, bar the original Rick Roll, which I doubt I need to inform you of, this is the single best representation of Rick Astley I've ever seen.
One hell of a lot of acetate is going to be required, and I've somehow got to get an OHP down to Birmingham, but it'll be good when it happens. God I'm looking forward to this.
Not tumbled much lately, but yesterday (and a wonderful day it was too; train travel was involved, plus, I saw a squirrel) I got home to find the internet had been installed finally. Internet, I have missed you. Tumblr, I've not missed you quite as much, sorry, but I'm here now, stop crying.
Anyway, on with business. Tomorrow is the start of a wonderful weekend of On The Edgeyness. One The Edge Festival is going to be epic. I'm currently still looking for someone to play to the part of Zoë (due to a last minute wedding that's occurred - congratulations to Zoë's uncle) but this will be fine.
Sunday, see's me performing my first semi-lengthy piece of theatre and I'm looking forward to it. It revolves around an exhibition I never went to see, and I've enjoyed working on it. There's two showings, one at 3 and one at 5 and I advise you come to both as I imagine they'll be completely different.
New house, new internet, new stage.
Images courtesy of Adam. Aside from the unforeseeable change from high-gloss to satin on the covers (bugger) the catalogues are brilliant. Everything was taken in to account by the graphics team from the process led exhibitions to discussions and they really pulled off a great Interdisciplinary catalogue for us awkward lot on A&D(I). Mad props to them. I've loved being involved in this whole process, it's been fun playing around with footnotes and margins etc. in a way that I'm not used to in my own writing.
PRE*. Tomorrow. 6-8pm. Get there. It'll be good. POST*.
Two images from the final show. Not quite ready, but tomorrow I'll be relaxing with a cold beer in the sun, hopefully enjoying some sort of post-degree satisfaction.
Photo's courtesy of Adam.
After we'd done I got Adam Cluley to run around with a camera and get some pictures using the lights from the arial performer (I'm not even going to get into that, like Granville said, it was awkward).
I really like these shots, they add an entirely unnecessary air of gloom to the product of the performance. It's nice to get that finished representation of the performance too. Zoë's idea for next time, if we expand on it, is one I'm really interested in, maybe leaving it up each time the performance happens and going over it with the next layer of string, slightly amended, and creating a better picture each time, that'd definitely be something worth playing with.
