The Mexican government is doing a lot of stupid shit to afford being a host of the World Cup, one of which is taking money from retired people's pensions (in some cases they're reducing it by 60%).

The country is facing one of its worst femicide and disappearances crisis and yet the government only cares about a bunch of dudes kicking a ball around a field. Yeah, sure, let's pretend we didn't find more than 500 bags with human remains right next to one of the stadiums for the World Cup.

I know there's a lot going on around the world, but if you want to help, activists like the Madres Buscadoras are calling for a boycott. All you gotta do is DON'T WATCH and DON'T COME and spread the word as much as you can. Don't give any money to this fiasco.

Traffic has become insuferable due to the ongoing constructions sorrounding frequent tourist areas, many have missed work at least once because of it, meanwhile in places like Xochimilco (natural habitat of the axolotl they're painting everywhere on the city) there's not even pavement.

The mexican goverment is pretending the country is nice and friendly, painting stolen houses in vibrant colors and errasing any form of protest like they have done before.

AND they have all the police pushing back against the people rightfully protesting in the streets and outside the stadiums. Not only are Mexicans not welcomed at the event hosted in our own country, but we're treated like a nuisance dirtying their big circus crafted to please the tourists. Our very real struggles are nothing but an annoyance for the rich and the powerful. We're treated like we're just an inconvenience for the fifa and the government. I'm so tired and sad, but I'm also very proud of every single person being loud and ANGRY despite the dangers and the attempts to keep us quiet.

If your google account name is your real name, so is your channel name by default.

This means the new default behavior is that everyone you send a youtube link to will see your full name if they open it in the mobile app.

To turn this off:

Go to your youtube app settings

Go to Privacy

Turn off "Channel visibility for shared links"

Trimming the source id (the stuff after the '?' in links) will also prevent this from happening.

Ríhanna Kelver, a bartender and trans rights advocate in Laramie, has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a deadly weapon with unlawful intent after a 13 September 2025 confrontation outside the Crowbar & Grill, whereshe worked. Kelver could be sentenced to up to 15 years in prison if convicted on both charges.

Kelver says one man in a group of men across the street from her started shouting homophobic and transphobic insults at her before the man allegedly shoved her to the ground in a downtown crosswalk, as reported by The Laramie Reporter.

Ky Peterson, a Black trans man from Georgia, was also arrested and imprisoned for killing his rapist in self-defense.

Kelver's attacker has also been identified as a member of Patriot Front.

Kelver corroborated a report identifying the attacker as Scott Wayne Durham, a Patriot Front member from Aurora, CO. First unmasked as Patryck “Scott” Durham, he has posted fascist, white supremacist, and Patriot Front propaganda since high school, operating under the online handles “Kevin – CO,” “Fedposter,” “WallaceCarden,” and numerous others. Durham was barred from his high school graduation after being unmasked in 2022, and in 2023 left enrollment at the University of Colorado Boulder after a flyering campaign alerted students to his history. On June 10, 2025 he changed his name (p. 26) to Scott Wayne Durham and is now listed as an honor roll student at the University of Wyoming, located in Laramie.

So whether they know it or not, the prosecutors are helping a Neo-Nazi who tried to commit a hate crime.

The idea of the person everyone viewed as a pest turning out to be a savior of sorts is one I’m obsessed with. No one (besides Fiona) ever gave Jerry any grace and yet his moral compass refused to let the honeymoon suite go unchecked and he refused to give up on finding Ohm when it would have been in his best interest to do so. In the end he’s shot in the head with a crossbow for it, like the goats that he shared his mushrooms with who were also viewed as pests which only makes it more special that in his novel Ohm writes in the goat/ram skull that ultimately saves his characters when they too choose kindness and compassion.
