Troy lounged outside the pool, it seemed like the next best thing, besides training, which hadnât started yet. He didnât know what to do other than sit there, sunbathing. Maybe he couldâve been pestering his mentors, learning how to swim, reading, or jogging. And maybe thatâs what he would end up doing, the day was still young, after all.
Still, it frustrated him to no end, he needed a goal, something he could set his mind to. Especially after being severely limited these past couple of months, roaming the jails. Only working out, reading, and sleeping.
Regardless of the shape he was in, though, he hadnât the years of training a career kid did. Espinosa rubbed at the bracelet his brother gave him. His fingers settled on the braided leather. A cocktail sat in his other hand, he sipped slowly on it. The flavors were almost too sweet. He scowled as he lowered the drink from his mouth. âThereâs everything and nothing to do.â He looked over at the other for suggestions, a joke, anything.Â
Ophelia wore a little sun dress cover over her bathing suit as she walked through the resort, carrying her binder. She loved being in District Four but she knew there was still a job that she had to do. She had to prepare her tributes for the next couple of days before the arena. It was a lot to learn and go over so she wanted to find her tributes as soon as possible. Of course, once the train had arrived, they were no where to be seen.
Looking all over the place, Ophelia let out a small frustrated huff as she couldnât find her tributes. Just when she was about to give up, she noticed Troy sitting off by the pool. Smiling brightly, the girl almost skipped over to him. Finding a close by seat, she sat down next to him, putting her pen behind her ear and binder on her lap. âHi Troy! Not sure if youâve been hiding from me but Iâm glad to have finally found you!â
âI just wanted to go over everything with you. As your escort, my job is to make sure we are prepared and stay on track and schedule. And I also want to know how your attitude as a tribute is going to be. Are you going to be the cool guy? Funny? Charming? Etc.?â She asked him, keeping a smile still on her face.
