He keeps boasting about him. He’s very proud of his symbiont (‘secret weapon’).

When Scorponok was in danger, Blackout rushed to save him even though he was severely injured. Starscream noted that he did it ‘as if his internals were on fire’ (he cares).

this guy is probably the most emotionally stable cybertronian you'll ever meet, considering how he's basically everyone's therapist (like actually). being a licensed therapist also means that rung will be able to pass on his mental health teachings to his kids, and that'll help them immensely in the long run. Rung’s entire narrative revolves around his ability to reproduce. He lit the hot spot on Luna 1. There’s an alternate universe where he’s kept as a prisoner to keep reproducing to build an army. I have a 23-slide PowerPoint about him and can post it upon request. [x]

roddy would be the kind of creator that's super chill and fun to be around, but also kind of absent. i think with the right partner, however, he could be persuaded to get his shit together. if he found out he was carrying, he'd cry ugly tears both out of joy (because holy shit, new life after a lifetime of war!!) and anxiety over if he's gonna be a good enough carrier, because that inadequacy complex ain't going nowhere. overall, though, he'd love his kid no matter what and protect them with his life. Greatest Autobot of all time. He is great at everything. He would be a great parent. Carried the Matrix while Optimus was on sabbatical = he can carry a child. Finding another parent will be easy as pie. This man walking into a room causes other bots to swoon. Nobody is imune (except Rodimus). Folks might throw hands to be with him (maybe this is how the war continues idk) Mister rainbow over here also traveled with a crew mostly composed of lesbians camians. This is the only explanation as to why he doesn't have a partner I guess. (He is literally the "let's go lesbians, let's go" guy). anyway. IMAGINE HAVING PEOPLE IN LINE TO PAY CHILD SUPPORT [x]

He is colourful as heck. Meaning potential kids have a wide variety of possible colourscemes. *looking at all my fellow artists out there*. he also has variety. in idw he comes in twunk and hunk sizes. (The charity comic "Thunderclash gets it together" also has a canon compliant twink version of him. Imma not post a picture here. Cause I highly encourage supporting the comic, it is funny, supports charity and available digitaly) [x]

Ompf potential. You want him to suffer? (I know I want him to). Remember when they gave Thunderclash a spark injury? One that would kill him if he didn't stay close to the life support machine. The one he turned into the Vis Vitalis so he could still travel around and do good boy stuff? Yeah, we will all pretend we didn't see the writers getting rid of this juicy bit of hurt now. she may not be a fighter in build, but she'll do everything she can to make sure her kids are armed with the knowledge they'll need to survive. everyone likes nautica, and for good reason! she's friendly to everyone she meets, she helps however she can, and she's very compassionate towards all life. all this to say her kids would have one of the best role models they could ask for in their lives. [x]

The Iron Giant:

More than I want to see this mech pregnant, I want him to have a big family and live happily ever after. He deserves it. He gets along great with kids already (that is literally the point of the story) [x]

everyone loves the iron giant they are so good with kids and would be a great parent and they deserve better than getting hit with a nuke they should be allowed to have their own alien robot kid [x]

Rescue Bots propaganda in the form of a literal episode: the four of them and Cody get stranded on an unknown island off of Griffin Rock after an incident with a raft in a storm and all the bots proceed to PANIC over suddenly being responsible for Small Child, thus drastically overcompensate in ways that actually don't work anyway because they are robots on an organic planet how does plant work. The scream Heatwave lets out as he falls from a cliff he'd been climbing to get bird eggs for Cody to eat is LEGENDARY. These four idiots are highly trained, skilled rescue workers who are unflinching in the face of life-threatening hazards, and yet they all lose their collective brain cell the second they have to take care of a kid. Rescue Bots come in fours for a reason, and that reason is that it takes all of them to manage raising ONE non-adult individual. (Poly, anyone? 😏) [x]

he is SO grouchy and you know he would be even worse pregnant. There are already fans of Animated/Prime Ratchet who like grumpy old man dealing with pregnancy, Heatwave is basically the same. [x]

There is an entire sequel series in which they [the Rescue Bots] are teachers to the next generation of rescue bots and they treat their students like their kids. [x]

They're all [the Rescue Bots] so protective of Cody basically immediately and there are multiple episodes showing how well they get along with the kids of Griffen Rock. [x]

There is an episode where they all [the Rescue Bots] help baby-sit a little robot baby and they all grow super attached. [x]

Heatwave has let the kids of Griffen Rock climb (safely) all over him while in vehicle mode simply because he knows how much little kids love fire trucks. [x]

He is basically a second dad to Cody. [x]
