Ive had access to gpt4 for a few days now. Apparently there have been complaints about down grounded quality output in past few months. In just a few days it now does not have access to information it had 2 days ago. Information that it gave me a detailed guide on. Said it was not known before 2021 (its hundreds of years old and you summarized the entire thing for me)
For non Chinese speakers this Android app (maybe iOS idk), has entire manuals that you can download. If you don't speak Chinese, the entire book can be gone through on interactive board. It even shows variations.
If you have an s pen (idk if others do this) for Samsung s23 plus you can automatically translate the commentary given

I watched ‘The Glory’ on Netflix recently (10/10, highly recommend) and got inspired to draw a go board and stones. In go/weiqi/baduk, this formation is called an “eye”, so I just put a literal eye in the centre of it. The surrounded black stones are “dead”.

There is actually sort of a secret repository of books on Chinese chess (xiangqi) on kindle. Most books that exist in English on Xiangqi are free there. The few exclusions are mostly books that literally don't exist as ebooks
All my go books! I tend to read the history sections with fascination, then my brain hangs up once it gets to gameplay beyond the basic rules.
I have those books. But me being the autistic hyper obsessed book person I am on topics I am into, and Go is my fixation, I compiled an entire book called "Counting Liberties" by Richard Hunt. All the book was was a collection of his artiflesnin British go magazine from like 100-122. All of those are free for use online. If anyone is interested
I've been traveling for 40 days now on a trip. I bought 2 Go boards, and an extra Xiangqi board. Somehow I now only have black stones for Go boards and am missing pieces to both Xiangqi boards. Fml.

I was an idiot and deleted the fb connected to my pokemon go. I won't go back, so now I have to go onto a different form of Go. But honestly I think I'm overextending. I prefer Xiangqi (chinese chess)
