THE LITTLE PRINCE (2016) — dir. Mark Osborne
“This won’t do. What’s the matter with you?”
Peter Pan (1953)
虎年快乐,虎年如意,虎年安康,虎虎生威,虎气冲天!
It's the twelfth day of Lunar New Year, sorry I'm late peeps, but wishing everyone the best year of the Water Tiger, hope all will have a soaring year ahead!
Failure is a feeling long before it becomes an actual result. It's vulnerability that breeds with self-doubt and then is escalated, often deliberately, by fear.
Becoming, Michelle Obama
Maybe part of falling in love with someone else is also falling in love with yourself.
The Sun Is Also A Star, Nicola Yoon
Names are powerful things. They act as an identity marker and a kind of map, locating you in time and geography. More than that, they can be a compass.

Smith: Has my past made you want to run?
Alix: No, I don't want to run. Unless it's toward you, and then my answer is yes.
Silence is like moisture; it created an environment that allowed things to grow. Fester. Eat into the walls and foundation.
When Ashes Fall, Marni Mann
To return is never the same as leaving. Embracing the return is an opportunity for a second chance. A second chance for redemption. A second chance to make things right.
I Want To Go Home, Wesley Leon Aroozoo
I believe we all fall in love and form a bond to remind ourselves that there is more to life than just ourselves. A reminder that we are not alone.
I Want To Go Home, Wesley Leon Aroozoo
We don't remember every single day of our lives and naturally take for granted that tomorrow would be waiting for us. But all it takes, really, is just a single moment to completely change every day into a challenge to wake up to and confront.
I Want To Go Home, Wesley Leon Aroozoo
Someone made me read another locally-written book, this time a memoir, and I stumbled upon this, which struck me:
“I’ve read that human beings are subconsciously compulsive searchers by nature. According to Maslow, an American psychologist, we are all searching for self-actualisation - a subconscious, almost primal need for being wanted and to matter even in our everyday communication with people. Some search for acceptance by having the latest clothes. Some find the cure to diseases. Others seek the meaning and purpose of their life pursuits. Perhaps for the ‘Mountain Man’ it was a search for a way to forgive himself.
Will everyone find what he or she is searching for? I hope so, but doubt it since we sometimes shy away with the fear of meeting a void at the end, of finding out the search was all for nothing. Maybe sometimes all we need is a sign to keep us going and assure us that we’re going in the right direction. But what if I’m going in the wrong direction and I’m wasting everyone’s time?”
It’s part of my current situation, and many a time, I still shy away. Let me admit, I’m afraid to fail, I’m afraid of rejection, especially after landing myself in this current sickness of mine, it makes things worse.
If love is blind, then losing love is like triggering all the other senses to follow suit, to shut down. Suddenly, it doesn't matter what's for lunch; advice from close ones will fall on death ears; familiar scents of the other half slowly fade away and you wish you could hold onto your loved one for just a minute longer so that everything will return to how it was.
I Want To Go Home, Wesley Leon Aroozoo
How love never really ends. How your heart breaks the same way it beats, again and again, and again.
Love Looks Pretty On You, Lang Leav
We are breathless, but we love the days. They are promises. They are the only way to walk from one night to the other.
The Bright Hour, Nina Riggs
You'll find grief is very strange. You think you have a handle on it, and then you don't at all.
