the day sirius finds out regulus is dead, he doesn't believe it. he starts searching for him at andromeda's house, he visits grimmauld place, he corners death eathers and asks them where regulus is. when no one can give him an answer, he realises that it's true. regulus died. the little kid who would crawl up in his bed after he'd have a nightmare, the kid who'd stay up to make sure that he's okay after bad arguments with their parents, the kid who begged him to stay the night he ran away.

his kid brother, reggie, died far too soon, and the most heartbreaking aspect is that he could've been saved.
