I could feel my heart beat out of my chest as I sat at the red booth, in the corner, waiting for my date. I was pretending to look at my menu, but I really was looking for any signs of a special someone walking in. I felt myself grow antsy and nervous as random scenarios popped in my head.
What if heβs not even coming? Maybe on the way here he found someone prettier and just thought βoH maybe Iβll just go ask this beautiful lady out insteadβ OR itβs possible that he didnβt even waNNA COME IN THE FIRST PLACβ
β(Y/n)?β I heard a deep voice speak from above me. I slowly looked up as I saw Darry gently smiling at me.
βUhh, hi!β I tried my best to sound happy and casual but goddamn, I was super nervous and scarred.
βSorry, am I late?β Darry asked
Oh, no, not at all, Iβm just early,β oH now I sound like a creep, I thought as I gave a toothy smile as he took a seat across from me.
I observed his face as he took the menu in front of him. He had such a strong jawline as well as an amazing face structure, and his beautiful eyes, in normal lighting, they seemed blue, but as his eyes hit the light you could see the green mix in. I was so much in a daze, his voice startled me.
βIf Iβm being honest,β he began βI was a bit worried you werenβt going to come,β
I hadnβt even realized that someone, like him, would be as nervous and doubtful, like me.
βWhat? No, Darrel, of course I was going to come, this date is what kept me through the week! Why wouldnβt I wanna be here with you?β
His blue eyes averted from his menu to my eyes, you could tell he was hesitant to respond.

His words made my heart fastly thump, I was surprised that he would doubt that I would come. The thing that baffled me and made me blush was that he called me beautiful.

βYou being here right now even feels like a dream,β the way he looked the other way and rubbed the back of his neck melted my heart. I unconsciously put my hand on top of his and stared into his hypnotizing eyes.

I could see a light shade of pink spread across his cheeks as he looked at our hands.
βY-yeah, you-I mean,β he cleared his throat as he noticed his constant stuttering. I guiltily giggled, at the fact that I actually caught him off guard.
βLetβs just enjoy this evening together, alright?β I removed my hand from his and scanned back to my menu, still smiling. I could see him in the corner of my eye, happily look at his hand that I had grabbed and smile to himself.
