“Well then, sweetheart, you missed your mark by about two hours.”
“You don’t say?”
The talk had went about as well as one could have expected. To Willow’s surprise, Tara hadn’t seemed all that surprised by the news, even despite it’s morbid nature. The remainder of the night had been a mess, with much of it spent with Willow trying to control herself. Everything was so…so…so unfair. She’d done everything in her power to change, to put a tap on how much magick she had used, even going so far as to ensure the darker magick material at the Magick Box was properly locked up.
All of it was for nothing.
“Paige…?” She asked, hand wiping at her eyes, even though her sweater was already damp from the same motion.
She had orbed back to San Francisco, needing her own bed, a shower, and to see what her sisters were up to. Paige was failing her charge, telling her things that she shouldn’t know. Paige however couldn’t keep it from her, it just wasn’t in Paige to do so. She wished she could help them both, they were so in love, and she could see how one another complimented each other, they were like two pieces of a puzzle, and if you don’t put them together, the puzzle isn’t complete. She let’s out a deep breath as she flops down on her bed, before hearing the familiar, ringing in her ears, hearing Willow’s, voice, Paige wipes at her tears before orbing into the room, no smile, for she knew what they were talking about.
“How can I help?” She asks, her eyes not lingering on them.
“We just went swimming…without clothes.” Tara repeated, nodding as she tried to ignore the pressing heat at her cheeks. Skinny-dipping had been something she could cross off her ‘bucket-list’ at this point in her life.
“Don’t people usually skinny dip to actually have sex? You both are strange women, you know that? Make my head spin.” Paige says, a hand going to her head as though it was spinning.”I need a drink, you need a drink?”
“..what? Job? Are you a teacher? And what exactly do you mean orbed?”
“Sure. Let’s go with that.” Well crap, they can’t now.”Can you just pretend you didn’t hear that? I’ve probably told too much people now, and my sister’s would kill me.”Stop talking.
“Wow..” she said with a sigh “You’re serious right? Can you really do spells and all that stuff?”
“I can. What would you like me to do? I can’t pull a rabbit out of a hat, though.”
Quietly he reached between them and laced his fingers with hers. “I know how you orb Paige. Like I said, I just didn’t know if I should bother you. But now I know for next time. I promise nothing’s going to happen to me. I’m a little too stubborn to die.”
A smile plays on her face as he laces their fingers together, green hue looking down at them as she does. “Don’t say that. No one is too stubborn to die. Sometimes we’re just to late to save them.”
She looked up and smiled softly. “Of course. I am still healing people, just in a different way. I hate to admit it, but you were right. And orbing is probably the best part of this job. I love the idea of being in one place and an a completely different one in an instant. I save so much money on travel now.” She teased softly trying to lighten the mood.
“I love it when someone tells me I was right. I knew you could do it. You have that kindness in you that isn’t going to go away. My brother in law had the same thing. He helped me.” She says a small smile appearing on her face.”Been to Paris?”
“I am not that stubborn. Okay maybe a little bit. My mom says I have aunt Phoebe’s attitude and your stubbornness.” she chuckled, looking over at her aunt. She frowned a bit, her heart going to her aunt Phoebe. She was happy that she found love with her uncle Coop. but still. It seems that you never really got over your first love. Especially when you went through what she did. She chuckled softly. “Mom tells her side of the story and Aunt Phoebe tells her side of it. Besides wasn’t there that time that you guys were superheroes or the time you were goddesses? Come on. I love hearing about each and single one. Though no I don’t know how hard that is. I’ve only dealt with older brothers being stubborn about their little sister going to a vanquish with them. Really? How did he save the day?”
“Wait, your mom thinks I have stubbornness? She’s worse than I am, why can’t you take after her?” Paige says shaking her head at Piper. She’ll pay her sister back, somehow she would.”Okay, the superhero thing was cool, until Phoebe wanted us to take off the masks, wasn’t so much fun then. Did your mom tell you I was the God of war? Because I was, and that was cool. I had a pitch fork. I should of shovelled hay with it, but I was making an army of demons. They won’t let you go and vanquish demons? How about we after lunch go vanquish some? By letting her feel. He talked to her, about them, and allowed her to not hide her feelings. She never gave me the details, and I never asked.”
“Stanford. Do I- should I get someone to help you?”
“No I’m not drunk. I don’t drink on the job. Stanford? I wasn’t thinking Stanford when I orbed.”
“I swear.” Smiling, Tara knew that she and Willow hadn’t done much to dispel the idea that they couldn’t keep their hands off one another. In some respects, it was true, but they were hardly making love to one another at every possible moment. “We just w-went swimming.”
“Is this the only story where you two do not have sex?” Paige asks, finding it hard to believe Tara and Willow didn’t do that ,considering when she talked to Willow, the redhead seemed to blush like a tomato when Paige brought Tara up.
❝ i can’t believe i died this morning,❞ wendy said with a huff, fluffing out her hair. no, getting hit by a car wasn’t in the LITERAL cards for her, but it seems that fate had different plans. next to dying in a trapeze accident, this was the second most embarrassing death wendy had ever encountered.
❛ PAIGE.
“Think of it as a plus. You’re not truly a Halliwell unless you’ve died two times in one day.” Paige says, an awkward shrug with an awkward smile appearing on her face.
“How did you die this time? Tail got stuck in a door and you bleed out?”
hahaha probably, things like that always seem to happen to me. Especially since tumblrs not distracting me.
It’s a good thing I believe. When you’re away you think clearer, rather than just jumping in and regretting it. It isn’t? Haha tumblr is always distracting me. i have no life.
hahaa no you didn’t. I can totally relate okay. but yes, I’ll let you know as soon as I can make up my stupid mind ahha
Okay good, phew I thought I was being a bitch haha. Haha, I’m sure it’ll come to you soon. Probably the day when you can’t get on here.
Okie doke, yeah. I don’t know honestly. I think I’ll have to think about it more. Because most of me is just thinking about time because I have NONE ahahaha. But thanks for your opinion.
Yeah no I understand. I do love RPG’s don’t get me wrong. Wow I kind of sounded like a bitch. They are good, but yeah time is definitely something you have to have. You’re most welcome. Haha and good luck! Let me know your decision?
YES thats another thing. Like they seem really, really nice there. Its just the spn and tvd fandoms there that’s kinda keeping me away. Like I havent had the best interactions with those fandoms in RPGS. But no, really. the cliques. and just joining something new and them not liking how i portray wyatt ( even though there’s not bio or way you have to rp the character ). IDK BRO. I’m just. I really want to, because the plot and the characters and eveyrthing is just really amazing. BUT ITS THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE AND PRESSUE AND COMITMENT THAT HAS ME SCARED TO.
Dude I am not going to lie to you, honest. It’s hard going into an RPG with a muse and everyone knows everyone and has their favorites, and hardly take the time to get to know yours. I mean its completely up to you, but at least here you have leeway of what you want to do with Wyatt and you don’t need to worry about being booted out. You can come and go and focus on other things if you wish to do so. You know we’re all going to be here no matter how long you go for, but an RPG at times does become like a job, rather than fun.
“I’ll take your word on that.” She smiled softly and sighed. “It’s better now that I’ve embraced that this is my new destiny. I mean I can’t change what I’ve become and at least it’s better than being dead.”
“Don’t, because I’m lying.” She says, as she waves a hand in the air, though her attention becomes more serious as the topic changes.”It is better than being dead. And hey, you’re still doing what you love, right? Just in a different way. You’re enjoying it so far though? I mean the whole orbing thing.”
“So this is you not grilling me huh? I’d hate to see what you grilling me would be like…” She teased, before sipping her coffee and sighing. In all honesty it felt a little weird to be talking about this with Paige since she was his aunt. “Um not really.. The Elders are keeping me busy.”
A small noise like a laugh leaves her lips.”It’s terrifying I assure you.” She says with a shrug, before nodding her head at her friend.”How is that going? Last time we spoke, you weren’t all for being a whitelighter.”
