Fleshing out Gem Dragonborn Concept

A more painterly depiction of the amethyst Dragonborn monk I’m designing for the campaign I am currently DMing. The bonus my players get is custom art!

Sticking with the Kirin inspiration, there was also something that reminded me of Aegean art, so I added some Aegean motifs. He’s smooth and gemmy- I don’t imagine him very scaly. The robe is modeled with Chinese influence, and instead of the customary dragon, I emblazoned peaceful cranes.

Still working on my dragonborn - a drawing a day to keep the doctor away!

I want him gruff, but benevolent looking. He is way of the Open Hand, and I imagine him using a style of martial arts similar to the White Crane. I think that's interesting considering how bulky I'm making him.
