Another old one
The lack of Graves messing with an old flip phone is disappointing, they wouldn’t have an iphone/smartphone, the game takes place around mid 2000s. Also they would share one phone cause they’re poor.
I have to do everythiiing 😭
A little doodle of them when I couldn’t sleep 😭

"ashley isnt in love with andrew, shes just---"
Okay so this is @covertbonezone
But one of your swapgraves au asks for me thinking more about how Andrew would respond to Ashley having a risqué dream and how he responds to sex specifically. I like the idea you posited about him not caring about sex all that much — but maybe he is more fixated on having all of Ashley’s firsts. First kiss, first orgasm, and her virginity as well. No one else can take that from her because no one else cares for her like he does.
He puts on a front in public of course, but I can see him being pushy sexually with her due to that. He’s the older and more experienced one, too. He tells her things like “those boys who try to flirt with you don’t love you like I do. They won’t care about how you feel and I couldn’t stand it if someone hurt you and you had a bad experience.”
So it had to be him, of course.
Ashley of course, is resistant against this because that’s fucked up on so many different levels but Andrew said it doesn’t matter so long as they keep it their little secret. “No one has to know.” And he is more than aware of his little sister’s desire for him. He finds it to be adorable and he’s willing to indulge her in anything she wants because she’s his.
He lets her know often that he’d do anything for her — even that, but Ashley just brushes it off as another example of her brother being a weirdo fucking creep.
But she’s tempted.
She’s very tempted.
But she also figures this is another one of his weirdo power plays that he tried whenever they were alone.
Nsfw from this point on—
So when he gets woken up by her shifting and moaning in her sleep he just watches her, listening as she chants her name and tries to shift and grind herself against him in her sleep. He’s thrilled — beyond joyful and he allows her to do what she needs to, sliding a thigh in between her thighs to let her get herself off. She wakes up naturally like that and nearly screams when she sees that Andrew is wide awake and totally aware of what is happening.
He smiles brightly. “Oh, don’t mind me! Please, continue!”
“L—Like hell you freak!” It takes everything in her power not to scream those words and wake up the entire household. She tries to extricate herself from him, but Andrew holds tight, arms wrapped firmly around her and keeping her in place. His thigh shifts up and stars burst before her eyes. Fuck. Fuck. This was bad. This was so bad she couldn’t even begin to quantify how bad it was—
“I’m the freak but you’re the one using your big brother as your own personal toy?” Andrew asks with an amused arch of his brow. “Like I said, I don’t really mind it, but let’s not be hypocrites here.”
“Hypocrites? Hypocrites? I was asleep! I—I didn’t know what I was doing!”
“I’m not so sure about that,” Andrew sang playfully. Pink eyes narrow in a predatory way. “You were calling for me, Leyley.”
She goes pale, “I w-wasn’t, right?”
His smile widened. He looks like a fucking shark. “You were.”
From that point on I can see him encouraging her to continue. Telling her to close her eyes and keep going because she can pretend it’s still just a dream. That this doesn’t have to change anything because he just wants to help her. That’s all! Wasn’t it a big brother’s job to help his little sister when she’s in need? He keeps moving his leg too and Ashley is still so riled up that she loses her resistance rapidly.
I can see it either going one of two ways — Ashley slaps him and it’s enough of a shock to get him to back off and she runs off to shower and calms down and after that Andrew is hurt and upset over the rejection and they have distance between them for the next year like the canon game.
Or… Ashley just uses his thigh to get off while Andrew encourages her and then falls asleep. And things are just not normal between them anymore at that point because Andrew would continue to escalate until he can have ALL of his sister.
[ask op is referring to]
IM SO OBSESSED WITH THISSS, YOU'RE AMAZINGG!! :DDD
you got them SPOT ONN. ohhh my goodness. before i nerd out with character personalities. HOLY SHITTT im gonna be rereading this for weeks i love thiss. dialogue 10/10, their intentions 10/10!!!!! ohh im holding this close to my chest like a beloved birthday card or something lol. i love this so much.
nerd time. notably, ashley doesn't actually fully believe that he's even a creep (though, his behavior is justified to be called that), she just tells herself (and him) that so that there can be some kinda of "obligatory boundary andy can't cross". but shes a hypocrite herself.. when the situation starts to unfold, she can hardly find a reason to stop. really except for how much andy will be grabby and needy in the future.
andy is definitely more experienced with sex than ashley, i don't know if he would have a girlfriend, wanting to keep his future open to accommodate 'leyley'. (the incest rumors would be dispelled by his facade, not by faking a relationship perhaps.) but with this, while he's experimented with others before prehaps... he knows it's hollow. so he wants to give 'leyley' something special, knowing that (from his point of view), sex is incredibly hollow and non-personal. if onlyyy he knew lol. totally tapping into that parental and possessive part of him to give 'leyley' something wonderful.
another note, i LOVEE how you incorporated the canon dialogue into the sceneeee (“I w-wasn’t, right?”) it's so cool. it's like you plucked this scene from the depths of my mind, i wasn't sure how it would play out but you got it and their interactions work so well.
this ask has rotted into my brain and i will be rereading this for ages :D
And now you have rotted my brain so more so I have no choice but to expand on this 😆.
I was also thinking of Andrew having some one night stands or hook ups if only just to keep up appearances. No girlfriends, like you said, but he does use his good looks to his advantage. They’re meaningless, of course because none of those girls could ever compare to his Leyley. Or maybe he took it as gaining experience so that he could be better prepared for his adorable little sister? It was necessary so that he could have take care of all of her needs.
And she seems to need it more than him, which is fine. He’d become pretty aware of her masturbatory habits probably as soon as they started forming and can recognize that she probably has a higher libido than him, which was fine — there were other ways of helping her even if it wasn’t solely with penetration. He could use his fingers or his mouth and he finds himself liking the idea of that a lot. It’s just another way to take care of her, after all. Maybe the peeping still happens but it’s so that Andrew can learn more about her—what she liked and didn’t like, how she best got herself off so that he could replicate it and show her something even better when the time came.
And it would come. He knew it, because it was fate. Andy and Leyley were a love story, after all. I think you said that Ashley would date Julia still in this universe, but Andrew views that perhaps as her just playing around. It’s not a “real” relationship like what he would give her. He could wait until his Leyley is ready to discard that toy who could barely even string a sentence together. I wonder if he would even see Julia as a threat since he’s a man?
I can see him being very paternalistic about Ashley dating a girl. Like, sure you like girls. Sure.
Because he knows it’s him she wants. She just can’t admit it yet. Because of rules and society or whatever nonsense, not realizing that he would take care of all of that. He would move them somewhere far away where they could be open but until then, he knew how to keep a secret. He’s not a fucking idiot.
He can be polite to Julia but makes very nice-nasty comments that can’t be outright said are combative about how cute he thinks this little phase is, and how happy he is that she’s decided to be Ashley’s “friend.”
“B-But w-we’re dating—“
“Right! Of course you are! That’s so adorable ♥️.”
If he continues and goes further with Ashley with the dream, I imagine Ashley losing her will once he promises this will be a secret between them. Shakily asking him if he’s sure but he swears that it will be as he kisses her hair and tells her to take what she needs.
(NSFW beyond)
Do you have any headcanons for Swap! Graves you’d enjoy sharing? I’d love having a better grasp on them ! No pressure
honestly, most of the information i have concrete about them, it's been stated. so some of these concepts have question marks around them for me, but they're still really fun conceptsss :3
ashley mainly abuses anti-anxiety medication, her abusing pills is only is a measure that is taken after the swapgraves "wet dream".
the year-long separation isn't as severe as it was in canon, they did talk occasionally, but it really was just andy being busy with college as ashley finishes up high-school. and ashley avoiding sharing spaces with him, while before she'd spend a lot of time with him.
ashley does not drop out of high-school in swapgraves.
andy never dates anyone, even during his time in college. he overcompensates his lack of a love-life by excelling in studies and doing more hours at work.
andy was allowed more time to study and become a good student, due to ashley being "easy" to raise under his thumb. unlike canon.
andy starts developing strong romantic feelings for ashley in college, while ashley's feelings develop in middle-school, and are mostly lustful, though she could absolutely fall in love with him too, if the circumstances were right.
the suicide ending would not happen, andy would chain ashley up in a padded cell before she kills herself. he doesn't want to die, but also doesn't want to live without her. and has enough control of her to influence her decisions.
andy is not a yandere or EXACTLY like ashley in basegame, he is still a more reserved, smooth talker, it's just that in swapgraves, he takes WAY more after his mothers manipulative, and demeaning strategies. he just also wants to have a "clean" reputation, so he carries his mask as his second skin and isn't MISERABLE pretending to be someone he's not.
ashley dates julia, julia is a really gullible girl to ashley thats Kinda Hot, but ashley treats their relationship as non-serious and more like just two girl besties that also fuck. they'd split up quicker because of ashley's lack of "pretending this is working", probably by the end of high-school, due to ashley being apathetic and dismissive to julia a lot, for her brothers affections.
ashley only ever used her for the period of time she wanted to dispell rumors, "how could she fuck her brother if shes a lesbian?", and then to avoid andy after the wet dream.
renee gave birth to andy, and he was an easy child to raise (he hadn't developed any of his obsessive traits yet), so she also had ashley. but when ashley turned out to be less obedient, wouldn't listen to renee and neglected them for favoring her husband, andy scooped up the role to parent ashley, while she remained mostly apathetic about her brother raising her until she hit about 8 or 9 years old.
ashley put the wood piece into the chest and killed nina, all andy's involvement was for, was for luring the girl to the warehouse. instead of nina being a "hussy", instead it was ashley getting revenge for nina pushing her around at school. unknowing it would kill her. nowadays, ashley regrets the oredeal and felt sympathy for julia's grief (kind of), while andy feels no regret and congratulates what ashley did.
the nina incodent really kicked off andy's obsessive tendencies towards ashley, while it also kicked off ashley's extremely tight bond between her and her brother, unbreakable by any one else.
basically, conflict between them isn't as severe, but things can spiral so far worse if things get bad (to the point of ashley being potentially kidnapped by andrew in adulthood to "keep her safe").
Here's an interesting instance of Andrew manipulating the audience: I've seen many people say that this moment proves Andrew can feel remorse, but really read what he says,
This is in no way a display of genuine guilt. This is him justifying his decision to not go to the police. He knows that he should feel bad, that's what a normal person would feel, so he needs a good reason to explain why he will never turn himself in. "It won't bring her back" is as good an excuse as any - never mind that confessing would give Nina's friends and family closure (and considering Julia took him to her grave I'm sure he's well aware of this). But alas, Andrew does not actually care, he just comes up with more excuses because that's much easier than admitting he's not normal.
No, Leyley Was Not Evil, She Was Just a Kid
I was going to be like "If you thought Leyley was an irredeemable devil as a child you probably just hate kids" but I'll be a little more lenient and say you probably either never interacted a lot with kids nor have had to work with kids. Fair enough. But like you're still wrong and I'm going to explain why.
The first part of Decay was an hourlong flashback showing why Andrew hates Leyley, and as a child how easy it was to view her as the evil thing that's ruining his life. And don't get me wrong, Leyley was an absolute brat. She's rude, she's pushy, she throws tantrums, she has no filter, and she has no qualms breaking things.
But from an outside perspective, especially from someone who's worked with kids like this? She's just being a normal kid. None of this surprises or disturbs me. Her attitude and actions made perfect sense. Like yeah when kids are left to their own devices and made to watch each other, when all the adults in their lives want nothing to do with them, this is going to be the result.
If you don't give them the attention they need and the only way they get it is to break things, they are going to break things. And because Andy initially only bothered with Leyley when she breaks things, she learned this is the only way to get and keep his attention.
And this mindset that Andrew will only give her attention when she breaks things is why she continuously pushes Andrew's buttons present day. She never grew out of this belief, which is why it's hard for her to grow out of Leyley.
And reminder, the reason this happened is due to the parents. This was not Leyley's fault, it was the parents who pushed Leyley onto Andy. And I also don't blame Andy for not understanding that as a kid. Later as an adult Andrew does realize that it was his mom who caused this to happen, but it doesn't remove the resentment he festered for Leyley for so long.
On another note I think it was nice how despite this burden put on Andy that made it hard to like Leyley, there's still glimpses of them getting along. Andy defending Leyley from the teacher, them chatting and laughing about getting baked into one of grandma's pies. It really showed that in spite of everything they could have gotten along as normal siblings would, if only things hadn't been screwed up from the start.
It also shows that despite hating Leyley, Andy was still only ever happy with her in the flashback. During that whole sequence not once was he happy interacting with anyone except those few times with Leyley. The only times he acted happy with anyone else was because it was just that: an act to avoid discomfort or trouble.
When the main source of your misery is also the main source of your happiness...yeah no wonder things went so bad.
I WANT YOU ALL THE TIME
