Trick or treat

不給糖，就搗蛋 | bù gěi táng, jiù dǎo dàn

为庆祝万圣节的来临，小孩会装扮成各种可爱的鬼怪向逐家逐户地敲门，要求获得糖果，否则就会捣蛋。而同时传说这一晚，各种鬼怪也会装扮成小孩混入群众之中一起庆祝万圣节的来临，而人类为了让鬼怪更融洽才装扮成各种鬼怪。  

To celebrate the advent of Halloween, children will dress up as all kinds of cute ghosts and knock on doors from house to house, asking for candy, or they will trick or treat. 不可同日而语 | Bùkě tóngrì ér yǔ

The two cannot be mentioned in the same breath

"不可同日而语" 的意思是不能放在同一个时间谈论, 用来比喻差别很大, 不能放在一起比较。例如: 通信技术进步太快了, 过去跟现在不可同日而语。

"不可同日而语", literally "(two things) cannot be mentioned in the same breath", is used metaphorically to mean that there is no comparison between two people or two things becaus of the significant difference. For instance, in terms of science and technology, there is no comparision between the past and the present.

真是狡猾。

我又要努力回答，又要答的与众不同。

二十六岁的我被问爱情是什么，我好像还没有答案。不过我知道，「爱」和「爱上」是两件事。「爱上」只需要一瞬间，一个笑话，一通简讯，一件白衬衫。「爱」则是没有终点的考验，是要永远做帮助关系发展下去的选择，即使万分委屈或感到从未有过的卑微。

若是混淆「爱」和「爱上」，就会在遭遇爱情的考验时对「爱」产生怀疑。

怀疑的结果可能是选择去追求一次又一次的「爱上」，追求肾上腺素被不同的人刺激。这样自尊心会很开心吧，积累了丰富的恋爱谈资，你看老娘又甩了一个。

或者变得焦虑，要求伴侣枕戈待旦，随时准备好证明爱有多真，再下次又必须要更加码，到了伴侣撑不住的投降的那天，才发现关系早就变质了。一个努力收集不被爱的证据的人，不安感多么至死不渝的表白也填不满。

又或者完全放弃恋爱了，骗自己真的不想再要亲密关系了，和姐妹说好希望我是同性恋啊，男人蠢到真的没救了。震动棒都买了吗，解放双手，自给自足。我真的不用男人啊。我自己一个人就很好。我在用实际行动支持女权主义了。

再来还可以对记忆进行艺术加工，「我和前男友在一起的时候，他从来都不关手机静音，半夜也接我电话！」。「我年轻的时候啊，吃糠咽菜窝窝头，比现在的大鱼大肉香百倍！」。老人回忆过去的美好，是在生命终点逼近之前，再多幸福一点。情人回忆过去的美好，是生怕手边的人先宣告爱情死亡，提前造好治疗心碎的迷药。

「爱」是什么？可能，是有那么多「不爱」的选择，也交出脆弱的心，努力去爱吧。

「爱上」只需要一瞬间，行星对了角度，玫瑰数到爱的那瓣，「阳光很好，你走过我身旁」。「爱」，哎，那个，唉，我真的爱你啦，我会好好爱你的。

三人行，必有我师

When I walk with two others, there must be one whom I can learn from

“三人行，必有我师” 的意思是三个人一起走路，里边一定有一个人可以做我的老师。这句话用来比喻别人身上可能有我们没有的优点，我们要学习别人身上的优点。

“三人行，必有我师” means “When I walk with two others, there must be one whom I can learn from”. In the metaphorical sense, it means everybody may have some merits that we lack, so we should learn from others.

站得高，看得远 Zhàn dé gāo, kàn dé yuǎn

The higher you stand, the farther you’ll see

“站得高，看得远” 的意思是，站在高的地方，就能看到更远的地方。这句话也用来比喻不能只从一个方面看问题，多考虑几个方面，才能更加全面。

“站得高，看得远“ means the one who stands higher takes a broader view. It is also used metaphorically to indicate that we should view a problem from more than one aspect to obtain a more comprehensive understanding of it.
