I make this blog for me to store the fics I find from anywhere (usually AO3). I tend to forget some fics I want to reread and it can be hard to find them again so this is the blog for. You can consider this blog as fics recommendations, I guess. I do include some fics others might enjoy, even if I don't.
If you have any request, well, I can't answer you bcs I take a very long time before I can find the fics you want. The chance is like almost zero but never impossible but don't get ur hope's up. So yeah, better not send any request bcs this is not a fic finder. If you ask me for a specific AU, I can try to find some more, but still no guarantee.
If you have any recommendations yourself, I'm more than happy to accept them through Ask or DM (preferably through Ask)!

Maybe you've been asked this before but... How do you think an AU about KDJ being sent to the 2nd regression instead would go?
(list becomes even more crack as it goes on. i'm sorry in advance 😓)
- Would KDJ end up coddling YJH (at least a bit)? Because to him, this YJH is practically a baby and hasn't been traumatized yet by the horrors of the OG 2nd turn (not that KDJ would discard the bad stuff that happened in the 1st turn but like... How much does KDJ even know about that one...)
- YJH being happy about having someone he feels that he can really rely on, only to end up feeling like their companionship isn't equal because KDJ keeps taking things on by himself and not trusting YJH enough (even more than in canon, since KDJ isn't as familar with YJH's abilities and personality from before the 3rd round.) (although he does think KDJ taking charge is kind of hot)
- KDJ absolutely gatekeeping Anna Croft from meeting YJH. (It takes him a while to accept that this AC hasn't actually done anything terrible to YJH yet, but he can't ignore the fact that this person is capable of doing it in the first place)
- Since this YJH is actually open to romance/sexual relations... Would he openly pursue KDJ? Not that KDJ would easily accept that...
- Someone manages to ask KDJ about romantic relations and he replies with a big fat NO (everyone glances at YJH with pity)
- KDJ, the hypocrite that he is, trying to matchmake YJH and LSH, oblivious to the fact that he sunk the ship himself thoroughly
- LSH watching these two idiotic men with the same wonder one would watch a nature documentary about unusual mating rituals
- On a sadder note, 41!SYS breaking down, thinking that her journey was for naught because KDJ has more info on the scenarios than she does. KDJ didn't want her to find out (but she did anyway, not sure how) and still wants to invite her to their group. Sure, he knows she would have killed herself to help YJH but he didn't want that kind of ending for her at all. Unfortunately, the constellations who hate his ass are petty and they still ended up fighting her.
- KDJ's heart nearly stops whenever he hears Asmodeus' name mentioned in YJH's vicinity.
- NGMY teasing YJH on his motivations for learning her swordsmanship. (He wants to make KDJ see and accept him as an equal who can stand by his side you see)
- YMA calls KDJ 'stupid ahjussi' for not seeing her brother's obvious feelings. At the same time, she keeps telling her brother to use words 'to help drive it into stupid ahjussi's thick skull'
- SP still jealous. 2nd turn kkoma having mixed feelings about his child becoming nonexistent (though thankful that at least he won't see it die again)
- KDJ figuring out early that YJH's abilities are suspicious because there's no way he should be this skilled this early. Same with his knowledge on scenarios. Why is YJH mentioning info that he should only come to know in later regressions or at least after learning about them from 41!SYS?
- HSY mourning that she totally could have made YJH her pawn after confirming he's in his 2nd turn. (She gets humbled by KDJ immediately after)
- YSA and JHW assessing how good of a lover YJH could be for KDJ. LSK is less critical since she knows this YJH has yet to become the bastard of the 3rd turn that her son gushed to her about all those years ago
- LJH trying to wingwoman for her master (to questionable results; Uriel is her accomplice)
- LGY being even more disapproving of YJH
- LHS patting YJH on the shoulder in camaraderie for being men in love with oblivious people
- SYS quietly watching everything go down
- Unexpectedly, GPD tries to give advice as a (divorced?) man???
- KDJ: Why is HMO giving me pitying glances??? (YJH is suspiciously clenching his fists nearby in horknee)
- JHY being more disillusioned with KDJ than she already was because how can her idol DKOS be this oblivious? Further evidence that they totally are not the same person
- Persephone not even giving KDJ other options when talking about marriage prospects. In contrast, LSK mentions other people specifically to mess with YJH
- Hades already thinking up of trials (personal scenarios) to subject YJH to to prove his worth (Persephone happily indulges her husband).
- Kyrgios takes a more hands-on approach (challenging and beating up YJH as 'training'; NGMY shrugs with a smirk when YJH asks her what the hell this tiny man's problem is)
- SWK trying (and failing) to be nonchalant about giving his blessing as KDJ's older brother
- Uriel already planning the ceremony (she'll officiate the wedding herself; no one else will take the opportunity away from her)
- ABFD may or may not have become homophobic from the UST
- Surya offers a ride on his train for the honeymoon (KDJ: What honeymoon?). MPM offers to sponsor it (KDJ: what?)
- The Korean constellations prematurely giving congratulations and thoroughly confusing KDJ (YJH implied he'll step up to become Biyoo's other parent — the next step in their relationship(?))
- The Fate imposed on KDJ is that they'll have a divorce. KDJ is still baffled
- Upon getting memories of the 0th turn, YJH gets pissed about KDJ successfully getting him married to LSH, even when it was obvious he was too hung up on him (DKOS) even then
- space adventure = (un)certified wife chasing (they still need to actually do the wedding) (this implies they got divorced before marrying...)
(idk anymore i haven't slept all night)
if you managed to read all the way though that, thank you
These are all very funny! Honestly, I personally just see the 2nd turn ending up like canon did, except Yu Junghyeok is probably more trusting at the start due to not experiencing the trauma conga that was the 2nd turn already.

Summary:
Kim Dokja has no idea why Yoo Joonghyuk, his popular coworker, keeps bothering him. First joining him for lunch every day, and now making him food?! He’s acting so strange, so oddly kind, for someone so cold. He also wonders why the guy who could get anyone with the snap of a finger seems to be going for someone as average as Kim Dokja.
Kim Dokja is probably the most beautiful, infuriating person Yoo Joonghyuk has ever seen. He’s quiet, and mostly goes unnoticed by their coworkers. But he shines like a candle, and all Yoo Joonghyuk wants to be is the moth that circles him. He’s finally going to approach him, and hope he can prove this fact to the man himself.

Basically office romance but YJH falls first because I said so.
I just started writing this fic, my first one that I’ve published. I hope y’all like it!
“You’re not gonna die, Bori-ya.” She knows that already, but Lee Jihye tells her it nevertheless. Tells her it like it’s a promise she’ll hold on to until the end of time where promises don’t mean anything and their only existence is dust travelling together across the infinitesimal universe, and then some after that. “Because I’ll always be there for you. Like how you’ve been there for me.”
Na Bori buries herself into Lee Jihye’s shoulders. The only thing she can do is hope that what she says is true.
Or, a first meeting, a departure, and everything in between.

PREVIEW:
A long time ago... no, that didn't sound right. In a time not too far from now, in a world just slightly ahead of our own, there lived an ordinary high school boy named Kim Dokja.
"Ordinary" is the best way to describe him.
Average looks, average grades, average life.
Like a background character in a web novel you see once and never again. Most of his time was spent alone, reading webnovels or watching streams— not because he hated people, but because people usually hate him. The only time he really interacted with anyone (by his own will) is when his friends dragged him along somewhere. Even then, he'd usually be the one trailing behind, not because he's excluded, but because he just likes it there in the back. Hidden. Unnoticed.
Home wasn't much different, either.
Due to... complicated family matters (like his dad dying and his mom being sent to prison), he lived alone in a tiny apartment. His aunt and uncle sent him enough money to cover basic expenses each month, but he still worked part-time to cover everything else.
It was tiring, but Dokja managed.
In between his already full schedule, Dokja would sometimes sacrifice sleep in order to slip his virtual game contact lenses on and log into Star Stream, a popular VR game. There, he'd watch his favourite "Constellation"— Secretive Plotter, an AI V-Tuber. Mysterious, untouchable, and famous. No one knew what he looked like under that veil that seemed to be sewn with fabric that came from the galaxy itself. Besides his gaming and singing streams, Kim Dokja didn't know why he liked their streams so much, but he always came back to watch.
This story started one certain day, on Kim Dokja's way home from work.
dokja felt air rush out of his lungs as sooyoung slapped his back, leaning into his shoulder as she laughed too hard at the lame joke sangah made. she barked an addition to it, something that had sangha's eyes shining and joonghyuk's lips twitching inot a shadow of a smile.
he wouldn't know what exactly, he couldn't focus on the conversation for more than a few seconds before his vision got blurry again, leaving him in a weird state of present and lost as the conversation moved around him, laughing and smiling and nodding and asking generic questions often enough to not raise suspicion.
he suddenly snapped out of his trance, thigh burning as wetness pooled into his shoe. snapping his head toward the culprit, he found it was a random child, looking up at him with wide terrified eyes as the large cup stayed clutched between his little fingers. joonghyuk was by his side almost immediately, patting his pant leg dry with tissues as he pursued his lips of questions sitting behind the wall of caution.
he wasn't fragile, he could take a small burn, why the caution?
he reached out around joonghyuk, eyes searching for the child with those big wet eyes and found in his place his mother, bowing in apology, tumbling over her lips like waterfall. the child quietly hiccuped in her arms, hiding into her scarf and shivering after he stole a glance of his victim.
sooyoung was right behind him, standing with all spikes out as she lectured the young mother while sangha left to fetch ice. dokja didn't understand the clamour.
just a burn, it'll get better so long he lives.
...
he never used the ice sangha brought, didn't use the cream jihye dropped off later that evening not could remember the icepack sooyoung left last she visited.
he hadn't eaten since last night now, the burn was sensitive still and the dishes had piled up ever so high. truth be told, he couldn't find the energy to do them, neither the purpose - they'll just get dirty again, he'll wash them as his needs.
sunlight poured onto his desk, over his dark hair and darker eyes, over the pages scattered all over the place and the many mugs piling on the window sill; cars honked and sped past his building, he had yet to reply to any of the emails from han myungoh , what did he even want him for now, it had been days since he last reported to his job, doesn't that violate his contract? whatever happened to "no leaves without approval"?
surely the rules don't change for him.
his thumb consistently scrolling on YouTube, he paused every few seconds to read a title before leaving it into the pile of unwatched "watch later" playlist - whatever did it matter anyway, there's nothing truly interesting about any of those videos and it takes too much brain power to focus, he'll watch it if life ever allows.
a sudden ringtone paused his scrolling for a good minute, then five more, as sooyoung's number kept popping up before he could even disconnect the call. just as he was closing the caller ID for the 6th time he accidentally clicked on the green button, the ever so familiar loud voice booming from the other side.
"kim dokja." she practically yelled into the speaker.
"sooyoung-ah" he replied after a sigh, finally leaning back into his desk chair.
"where have you been? sangha is worried"
of course she is, he did get rid of a good number of creeps in their department. "i quit minosoft sooyoung-ah"
the line was quiet for a moment, like she was finding the right curses to shower him with, or finding an excuse to hang up.
maybe she already left and forgot to hang up?
dokja put his phone on speaker and laid on his desk again, back settling into the position he's held for last 5 hours now.
"are you ok dokja-ya?" her voice was soft this time, deeper - not the way cigarette made it, but rather with the additional weight of emotion. the ex employee looked around his room, gaze sweeping over dirty floor, crumbs in bed, old, rotting laundry visible through the open door of his bathroom and took a deep breath - taking in the odor of rotting dishes and sterile air - and said:
"i would've been if you hadn't called so early"
...
sooyoung realized that her hunch was, in fact, very right about him not being ok.
he had hung up right after saying that, and she spent a better part of the hour contemplating on joonghyuk's couch on whether to plan an ambush or leave the man be.
he was old enough after all, it had been over a decade since he had tried anything stupid so, why would he do anything now?
even the scars from middle school had healed.
yet, no matter what mental route she tried, she couldn't get the unflinching stare from the cafe out of her head, couldn't forget the coldness of his hand when she held it to drag him along - the heaviness of his pace sat with her for long enough to resemble the heaviness from the hospital where they met.
his dokja reminded her too much of the dokja she had met in the coldness of the common ward where she was admitted for dengue and he, for a fractured bone.
the ambush was a probability until songha called to ask if she had heard from dokja - "he hasn't been in office for days now, hasn't picked any calls either"
she had checked in on him politely and a reminder from yoo mia about "whenever have you people ever been considerate?" solidified her resolve.
taking her car turned out to be the wisest decision she's ever made when she had to haul his rapidly dying body to the hospital in the same, not more than ten minutes later.
now, standing outside with a bag of injections clutched in her hand while dokja recieved intensive care inside, she made the mental note to ne er trust dokja again.
spevially not when his smile twitched weirdly or his speech got slurred or hair got messy or remarks got short or-
slowly, the rush in the ICU died, nurses moved with slow precision and doctors poured out from the door. they closed it behind them like a vaccum and took of their mask, looking at sooyoung's face with a neutral expression.
"are you his family?"
sooyoung nodded, hand frozen where she had placed it on the glass window.
"his situation is no longer critical, we'll continue to monitor him, if-"
"can I go see him?" sooyoung cut her off, the doctor blinked and shook her head.
"not for another week or so. he has taken a good number of pills, we'll run a few tests to-" sooyoung looked back into the ward, no longer paying attention to the doctor who talked about some tests and exams, a pending investigation and paperwork.
distantly, she heard another pair of footsteps rushing closer to the hallway they were in and wondered what she'll say to his mother if it was her.
she didn't have the courage to face his mother.
the doctor noticed her discomfort and hesitantly placed a hand on her shoulder, squeezing in reassurance. "he'll be fine soon" she said, "you found him on time, he's going to be ok miss, you can still look forward to your future together"
the writer rose her brows at the last part and chuckled, nodding slightly as she turned to look at the young doctor, clearly her first time dealing with an overdose patient.
"yeah I'll trust you, alright, he better wake up soon under your care"
behind her, joonghyuk caught up with the situation with what little he had heard. he was breathing hard, having ran the whole way there; he tried to tame his quivering voice and asked if there was anything he could do for the time being, pick up a medicine or run an errand while they waited for dokja to wake up.
he deflate when he was told that there was little chance he'll wake up even a minute for 3 days.
once the doctor left, sooyoung laid out the full picture for joonghyuk - lung damage of sorts, he threw up a bunch, cardiac strain - which was taken care of immediately - and brain damage.
"it's on a, y'know, spectrum of sorts. you can't be certain yet, gotta wait to see it once he's up" she said.
over the next few days, the two took turns watching over him from the window though there was little need to, a nurse was always present in the room, checking his vitals: oxygen saturation, heart rate, brain activity - the works. despite many reminds of the nurses' competency and the disturbance it caused when they tried to sneak in anyway, the duo loomed outside like an omen, a reminder to the nurses that they were under surveillance.
they never left after all.
many complained about not having signed up for this, others remembered the pale face, jittery posture and sweaty palms late at night when they'd bring the two a bite from canteen.
they didn't have the grounds to complain when their companion's condition was so dire.
by day 5, the nurses knew them both by name and they knew the medicine to it's most basic salts. they each took turns visiting dokja when the doctor gave a green light.
sooyoung noticed his sunken cheeks around the ventilation tube going down his throat, ashy complextion looked worse under the awful lighting. she carefully linked their pinkys and promised to be a better friend, voice cracking at the ice cold sensation of his skin.
joonghyuk sat the for a long time, unable to look at dokja directly now that he couldn't hide behind a wall. he stared at the monitoring screens for a long time, his foot resting beside the oxygen tank while dokja's chest rose and fell ever so slowly with fluttering breaths.
it looked difficult, it was probably torture.
the doctor gave no definitive answer when asked when he'd wake up, she tapped her pen on the chart hanging by the foot of his bed.
"we'll try changing a few medicines, it'll take about 36 hours for any meaningful change to show, until then we'll keep monitoring him as we have so far"
joonghyuk hadn't been home for a week, sooyoung had taken over the duty of picking up and dropping off mia for the time being.
unlike some people, she can't stay coped up in one place for too long or else she'll go insane and they don't have an opening for another patient right now.
by day 10, sangha knew too, she had taken care of the paperwork at minosoft herself so there wouldn't be gossip about dokja. she took it upon herself to negotiate with his landlord, just so he still had a home to return to when he woke up.
if he woke up.
she understood the doctor tongue best among the four of them, courtesy of House MD.
the chances decrease by a lot when a patient doesn't wake up within the first week of admitting. the chances drop more and more with no sign of activity in the patient.
maybe they should've expected it. he had taken the pills himself after all.
'sue me for hoping i guess' sooyoung would've said, who instead slumped in the chair beside dokja's bed. her once nonstop chatter now quiet, thoughts humming between hope and the reality that dokja had no will power to begin with.
joonghyuk could no longer stand being in the same room as a dokja who didn't immediately cuss him out with a smug rbf the moment he saw him.
sangha tried to bluntly explain it with as much hope she could muster.
the drive home was quiet for her, radio playing a random podcast while the city light outside reflected off of her window.
she couldn't remember the last time she had seen dokja's bright clever eyes, reflecting light like stars in the night sky.
she reached her destination and took the elevator to dokja's apartment. her keys jiggled when she entered, the stench was no longer as strong as the first time she did her nightly routine. though there was less furniture than before, it was much cleaner too.
maybe joonghyuk will help out when she needs to being back the couch from the cleaner's.
rolling up her sleeves, she hung her purse by the door and got to work, hoping against odds that dokja wakes up before she finished cleaning the living room.
Behold, a DokJoong with a plot story. Not just smut. I actually enjoy it minus the DokJoong thing. And it's still going as for now I find it. I bet it's gonna be at least 70 chapters. Or 100 chapters.
Alpha Yoo Joonghyuk
Dominant Alpha Kim Dokja
Royalty
Alpha Prince Yoo Joonghyuk was arranged to be married to the Alpha Prince of Hell. Scared that his freedom would be taken away, Yoo Joonghyuk tried to escape this marriage by joining the army to war, but failed in the end, and married the Prince of Hell.
. . . But he’s kind of offended that the Prince of Hell didn’t want to marry him as well.

I still suck at summaries, and this is my first A/B/O verse, so lemme lay in my grave in peace.
I am still fighting for the Bottom!Hyuk agenda hahaha
Either BakuDeku but it's apocalypse like ORV, or Joongdok but it's quirks and heroes
So this is longer than I had planned for these prompt fills, but I had an absolute blast with it. Thanks a lot tsuki! <3<3<3
This isn't beta read, it's barely alpha read. When was the last time I sent something into the world straight from the keyboard 💃
************************
Kim Dokja’s phone alarm bipped shrilly.
He groaned in protest. What? No. It was Saturday. It was definitely Saturday. Why had he set his alarm? Had work stolen so much soul and joy from him that he had forgotten about the existence of weekends?
He groped for the offending noise machine and turned it off. One half of his face still buried in his pillow, he squinted at the screen.
Friday.
What?
“Oh, fuck you, you sunfish,” he said, with feeling.
Yoo Joonghyuk was back on his bullshit.

It was really a scam how much having a Quirk mattered in this society. Kim Dokja’s desk neighbor at Mino Soft could make colored burps. It wasn’t just useless, it was outright distasteful (just like the guy himself, come to think out of it), yet Kim Dokja was the one who got told in no uncertain terms that he was hired to fill the company’s handicap quota and he could sit on the hope of ever receiving a promotion or a raise.
He wasn’t even really Quirkless. If he had been, he wouldn’t be going through the torture of living through two Fridays in one week. But a kid telling the family doctor that time occasionally went wonky around him apparently qualified him for ADHD tests, not a referral to a Quirk specialist.
Well, he wasn’t hyperactive. If anything, he was actively underactive most days.
By 1pm, Kim Dokja had finished redoing all the work he had already gone through the previous (now nonexistent) day. He spent an hour or two reading webnovels on his phone in the break room. When he started receiving stink eyes from his colleagues, he shuffled back to his desk and started scrolling through news feeds. He didn’t remember clocking off work before he woke up in his bed, so Yoo Joonghyuk should be showing up sometimes soon.
Ah, there he was.
BREAKING NEWS Quirk-user altercation in progress in Seongbuk-du. Vigilante “Supreme King” and American Pro Hero “Las Vegas Prophet” spotted. Caution recommended if you’re in the area.
Kim Dokja’s eyebrows rose. What was an American pro hero doing in Seoul? He opened a new tab and looked up that Prophet dude. Ah, it turned out Anna Croft was more of a prophetess. Which didn’t answer his question, but he wasn’t that curious. Yoo Joonghyuk hadn’t needed to turn back time more than once per fight in years. He would be done soon, and Kim Dokja could finally have his weekend--
His phone alarm bipped shrilly.
Kim Dokja jerked up in bed. The sun was just rising behind the window blinds. He scrambled for his phone, nearly sent it flying.
Friday.
Okay. Now he was mad.
***
It only took one more time loop before he broke.
“Yoo Joonghyuk is back on his bullshit,” he informed Han Sooyoung as soon as she opened her door.
She looked him up and down, unimpressed. She was wearing a ratty sweatshirt and her glasses were perched on her head, worsening the cowlicks she always got from running her hands through her hair. He had interrupted her in the middle of a writing spree, then. That was unfortunate. It always made her extra uncooperative.
“Shouldn’t you be at work?” she drawled.
“This is my fourth Friday, Han Sooyoung. If I have to go through Deputy Yoon’s weekly team-building garbage again before a full week has passed, I will stab someone. It doesn’t have to be Deputy Yoon or Yoo Joonghyuk.”
She rolled her eyes at him, but opened her door wider to let him in.
“I really don’t get what Yoo Sangah sees in you.”
“She’s a person of good taste.”
“Shut up. What do you want?”
“Anything you can write me on an American hero named Anna Croft.”
“You couldn’t look her up online?”
“I did. Everything about her is in English, and I need to check something.”
She swore and grabbed a single sheet of paper.
“I’m not writing you her damn biography. I have a fucking deadline. I wouldn’t whine aboutgetting more than twenty-four hours in a day.”
Kim Dokja didn’t even bother retorting. He’d like to see her have to rewrite the same chapter from the start every time she opened her eyes in the morning.
Han Sooyoung poised a ballpoint pen over the sheet. Her eyes turned sharp, her arm tensed. The pen began to glow, a dull blue shine. It flew across the surface. For a minute or two, its scratches were the only sound in the room.
Han Sooyoung’s Quirk, Character Analysis.
Han Sooyoung only bothered lowering her glasses onto her face once she had leaned back. She skimmed through what she had written.
“Huh,” she said.
Kim Dokja, reading over her shoulder, sighed in agreement.
‘Dedicated to upholding law and order,’ was written there. ‘Hostile to vigilantes.’ And even more damning, ‘Quirk: Future Sight.’
“No wonder a regressor would have trouble with her,” Han Sooyoung said. “It doesn’t matter what new tactics he’ll try, she’ll see them coming.”
“I just want to sleep in on Saturday mornings,” Kim Dokja lamented. “Is that too much to ask?”
“Get out of my house if you’re just going to complain. You know what to do, don’t you?”
“Ugh.”

The thing was, Yoo Joonghyuk didn’t particularly want to be a vigilante. A few years back, he had let Steel Sword convince him to go public. Only, becoming a Pro Hero meant being transparent about your Quirk.
No sooner had Yoo Joonghyuk’s info become available that his name was being dragged through the dirt. With a Quirk like Regression, you could get away with so many things, people had argued; you could murder and rape, then turn back time so no one would be the wiser; you could cheat your way into becoming a billionaire by betting on events you had already lived through; you could find out state secrets and then make it so no one was aware you knew. Could the guy even be held in a prison? Could he even die?
The public panic had been so overwrought that it had been obvious to Kim Dokja it was the result of a villain’s smear campaign.
Yoo Joonghyuk had initially powered through. That had impressed Kim Dokja, who remembered being six and going through five-minute-long time loops that could only have been provoked by a child’s temper tantrums. Yoo Joonghyuk used to turn on his Quirk for anything and nothing when they were young. He had calmed down as he aged and only rarely used it now. Kim Dokja could only speculate that Regression had some drawbacks Yoo Joonghyuk had become wary of over time.
Then the mob had turned on his kid sister.
That was the only occasion Yoo Joonghyuk had ever turned back time by a full week. Kim Dokja had woken up sick and dizzy.
He hadn’t blamed him.
So now Yoo Joonghyuk was once more a vigilante, and Kim Dokja was the only member of the public who hadn’t forgotten what he had learned back then. Supreme King’s name, his Quirk’s title, his family history, his face.
The face especially was annoying. The bastard could at least have had the decency of being ugly under that mask.
BREAKING NEWS Quirk-user altercation in progress in Seongbuk-du. Vigilante “Supreme King” and American Pro Hero “Las Vegas Prophet” spotted…
Damn it, why was this still happening? Couldn’t Yoo Joonghyuk just avoid Seongbuk-du? Surely he wasn’t that stupid.
At least it made them easy to find. It only took two more loops before Kim Dokja pinpointed the battle’s exact location. By that point, he had turned calling in sick to work into an art. He could have won an Oscar with that cough.
When he finally turned up in time to catch the entire thing, he had to groan.
It was a fucking dog. A dog who slipped its leash and attempted to run into a busy intersection. Supreme King swooped out of nowhere, scooped up the mutt and shoved it into its owner’s arms. The poor lady was gaping. It wasn’t every day a six-foot-tall wall of muscles in a flapping black coat with an actual sword strapped to his waist blinked into existence to glare at you for your poor dog-handling.
And Kim Dokja could see it now. The pile-up that had probably happened during the first loop.
That was the other thing about Yoo Joonghyuk. If he couldn’t be a Pro Hero, he didn’t have to be a vigilante either. He could just let people sort themselves out.
But no. Of course the sunfish wasn’t capable of doing that.
Damn it. He wasn’t feeling fond. No matter how many drinks Han Sooyoung plied him with, he was admitting to nothing. (He ignored the nagging feeling that he already had, because he couldn’t remember spilling Supreme King’s birth name to her, but she sure was fond of using it to his face. Surely that was because of her Quirk.)
His act of dog-sitting accomplished, Yoo Joonghyuk whirled around to leave. Kim Dokja caught a glimpse of his face and realized he wasn’t wearing his mask. Was he attempting to mislead Las Vegas Prophet by showing up as his civilian self? He might have wanted to ditch the sword if that was the case.
“Stop right there, Supreme King!”
A tall blonde woman in a black and gold costume sailed through the crowd on the sidewalk. Yoo Joonghyuk stopped, his jaw tight and a vein beating at his temple.
“Are you speaking to me?” he said.
The words sounded like gravel in his throat, and he didn’t seem to have much hope that the Prophet would let him speak his way out of this. He turned to face her. As he did so, his eyes slid over Kim Dokja. He frowned.
Kim Dokja’s heart skipped a beat. He slipped behind a corner before Yoo Joonghyuk could do a double take. Had the jerk really already memorized all the faces standing at the intersection during his fight?
Either way, showing up without his mask could only be a desperate move on Yoo Joonghyuk’s part. That whole unmasking fiasco back then had spooked him too much for him to risk his identity casually.
Other costumes materialized out of the crowd to back up the American heroine. She really was well prepared. Yoo Joonghyuk wasn’t usually the type to back out of a fight, but that wasn’t what he had been trying to achieve in this loop. If his identity was compromised, that was it for him.
Kim Dokja was unsurprised when he blinked and found himself back in his bed.
Wow, he hated this alarm. He’d replace it as soon as the loop was over. Something with bird song and chimes, maybe.
***
So. At least this was an easily solvable problem.
Frankly, Yoo Joonghyuk could have solved it in a heartbeat if he had just been willing to trust one single person with his Quirk. Literally all he had to do was tell Steel Sword Lee Hyunsung he knew the future, and ask the Pro Hero to rescue the stupid dog.
“Excuse me,” Kim Dokja said, smiling politely at the middle-aged lady. “Your dog is adorable. Do you mind if I pet him?”
Not at all, she said, smiling back, please go ahead. He likes chin scratches. Kim Dokja sank into a squat, gave the squirming fur ball chin scratches, and took advantage of the thick fur to reclip the leash properly with her none the wiser.
“Thank you,” he said as he rose. “You two have a good day.”
The lady and her dog went on their way. He scowled at the pale fur stuck on his gray suit jacket. He wasn’t much of a dog person.
When he looked up, Las Vegas Prophet was standing right there. She was staring at him.
“Who are you?”
“Excuse me?” he said innocently.
Suspicion sparked in her eyes.
“Hmm… Forgive me, but may I ask what your Quirk is?”
“No?” he said, pitching in his voice exactly the right mix of confusion and vague outrage of a peaceful citizen getting interrogated out-of-the-blue. “Am I under suspicion of something? I’m going to need to see a Pro Hero card if so. I’ve never seen you in the news. Are you even official?”
Being accused of vigilantism, of all things, must have hit her hard. Color rose in what could be seen of her cheeks around the mask.
Nevertheless, she managed a tense smile. This Las Vegas Prophet didn’t remember all her altercations with Supreme King. She only knew that her Quirk had expected to find him here, and he wasn’t. It wasn’t exactly reasonable to make a scene about it to a random Korean pedestrian.
“My apologies. I must have mistaken you for someone else.”
She walked around him, her eyes scanning the street. Kim Dokja waited until she was gone before stretching languorously.
Finally. Saturday, here he came.
He hadn’t taken two steps down the sidewalk before a fist closed around his collar and yanked him into a side alley. His back hit the wall. A black mask was shoved into his face.
“Who are you?” came the guttural growl.
Ugh. There had really been no way to do this without being noticed. Still, the bastard could have done him the courtesy of letting it go.
“You’re welcome,” Kim Dokja hissed back.
Supreme King pulled him back from the wall and slammed him back against it. His other hand was wrapped tightly around the hilt of this sword.
“Knock it off,” Kim Dokja whisper-yelled, now fully indignant. “She’ll find you just as easily without her Quirk if people report you!”
Supreme King froze. His eyes flitted between Kim Dokja and the busy street a few feet from them. Kim Dokja squirmed free. Supreme King allowed it with a freezing glare, but blocked his way back. Kim Dokja rolled his eyes.
“Come on,” he said, heading deeper into the alley.
That was obviously not what the vigilante had been expecting. It took him a few seconds to start following him. Kim Dokja stopped once they were fully out of view.
“Now, what do you want? I need to go get the dog fur out of this suit.”
“I saw you yesterday.”
“Congrats,” he grumbled, rubbing at his sleeve. “Not many people can pick me out of a lineup.”
“Is that your Quirk? Some kind of invisibility?”
“No?” Kim Dokja said in incredulity. He wasn’t sure what was more offending: people’s obsession with Quirks or the fact that he was a perfectly forgettable man, no mind’s tricks necessary, and had just admitted as much himself. “How would that make sense in this scenario? Are you even using your brain?”
Supreme King thumbed his sword out of his scabbard by a few centimeters.
“You’re very free with your words,” he grunted, shoulders tensed in anger.
“Counterpoint: you lose a lot of your intimidation factor when people know how much of a softie you are, Supreme King.”
The sword unsheathed fully and caught an errant ray of sunlight on its sharp edge. Kim Dokja huffed.
“It’s Time Displacement,” he said flatly.
“… What?”
“My Quirk. Isn’t that what you were so up in arms about? A friend of mine described it as ‘standing a step to the left of the normal flow of time, or whatever.’”
Han Sooyoung was the closest he had come to an actual Quirk assessor. Whatever, at least being labeled Quirkless had gotten him a stable job. You couldn’t spit on that in this kind of economy.
“What does that mean?” Yoo Joonghyuk asked.
“What do you think it means? Time-based Quirks go wonky around me. That’s it. Not exactly anything to write home about.”
Kim Dokja smirked.
“Although knowing it works on precognition Quirks… Did you see Anna Croft’s face?” he said in relish.
So sue him, he had a bit of a petty streak.
Yoo Joonghyuk paced deeper into the alley, then back.
“She can’t see me because you’re here?” he said finally.
“Because I caused your future to change, and she can’t see the new one. I don’t think the effect will last once I leave, though, so try to avoid her from now on, Yoo Joonghyuk.”
Yoo Joonghyuk stopped mid-step.
“What did you call me?” The words came out of his mouth like gravel.
Kim Dokja ignored him.
“Or at least do your hide-and-seek routine on a weekend. I know you don’t have a nine-to-five, but some of us aren’t so lucky.”
Yoo Joonghyuk didn’t answer. He was staring at him, his grip tight on his sword. Kim Dokja shrugged and leaned against the alley wall.
“Relax,” he sighed. “I’m not fucking Asmodeus.”
“… You know about that.”
Notorious villain Asmodeus had mysteriously ended up dead not long after the whole ill-fated reveal incident. It hadn’t been hard to connect the dots.
“I remember about that. And I haven’t said anything that whole time, have I? You want to stay anonymous, it’s no skin of my back.”
Yoo Joonghyuk just looked at him.
“Your name?” he said after a long moment.
“Huh,” Kim Dokja said, blinking. That’s right, he hadn’t introduced himself. Well, Yoo Joonghyuk had been rude first, dragging him into dark corners like that. “It’s Kim Dokja.”
The sword went back into its scabbard. Yoo Joonghyuk took his mask off. Dark eyes landed once again on Kim Dokja, evaluating.
The years had been kind to the bastard. Kim Dokja had long held the theory that Regression made him age faster, as he had noticed Supreme King gaining a few premature white hairs over the years, but it was impossible to tell for sure from that face. That jawline was still infuriatingly beautiful.
Kim Dokja looked away and swallowed.
“Anyway, this loop was messy. It was just a dog, Yoo Joonghyuk. Even your sister could have taken care of it.”
“If you know, you know I don’t want her involved in this. And she has school today.”
“And I had work!” Kim Dokja complained, throwing his hands up in frustration. “Where am I going to get a doctor’s note, now? They aren’t going to fire me, but-”
“I’ll get you one.”
“Huh. Wait. Really?”
“I know someone.”
Kim Dokja stared. Yoo Joonghyuk seemed serious. Look at that? Wasn’t the jerk unexpectedly helpful?
“How about making it last until Wednesday? I think you owe me a long weekend,” he said, never above pushing his luck.
“Fine.”
Huh! What was he supposed to say to that? Kim Dokja was never that lucky. There had to be a catch. He narrowed his eyes.
Yoo Joonghyuk smiled.
Which was, for the record, a magnitude of unfairness never before seen in this life. Surely that smile had to be illegal. It bloomed slowly until his teeth showed, confident amusement lighting up his eyes.
“She’ll help if she knows it’s for someone who will help me in the future.”
“That… No?” Kim Dokja sputtered. “That was a one-time deal! How are you trying to rope me into vigilantism? I’m basically Quirless!”
“You were the one complaining it would be simpler if I had someone in the know. Are you saying you’re registered as Quirkless?”
“Yes!”
“Good. Nobody will suspect you.”
“They won’t, because I’m not going to do anything! Saving puppies and orphans is your thing, not mine.”
“I made you regress through six Fridays in a row.”
That was factually what had happened. But said like that, it very much sounded like a threat. Kim Dokja bit his tongue, fuming.
“You remember all of them,” Yoo Joonghyuk deduced, darkly satisfied. “Phone.”
He held out his hand in command.
“I hate you,” Kim Dokja said in wonder.
“I’ll make your note last all of next week.”
“Bribing me, now?” Kim Dokja said, examining Yoo Joonghyuk keenly.
Yoo Joonghyuk gave him a placid blink.
Kim Dokja dropped his phone into the waiting hand.
“Bribing is fine,” he sniffed. “Carry on.”
Yoo Joonghyuk snorted as he input his number. One dark eye stayed on Kim Dokja, looking him up and down. Unused to the attention, Kim Dokja stared at the sky.
Damn it. At least he’d get to see a nice view once in a while.

Ep 1: The Strange Constellation Who Keeps Complaining [ Pt. 1.2 ]
An ORV Reacts to TOTCF Fic.
The dokkaebi spread its arms like a performer welcoming applause. “Congratulations, incarnations! You’ve escorted so many survivors this far!”
Which, fine. KimCom did deserve congratulations. A little one.
Maybe a gold star. Maybe several, actually, considering they could have left the useless people behind and saved themselves about eighty percent of the current screaming.
That deserved reluctant encouragement, because rewarding KimCom for collecting extra moral burdens felt a little like praising someone for adopting a rabid raccoon.
The dokkaebi’s smile widened.
[Hidden Rule Activated: One Path, One Price]
[Only one group may pass the gate without paying a toll.]
[Every additional group must offer one living incarnation as the toll.]
[The toll must be paid before the gate opens.]
For one beautiful, terrible second, the words meant nothing.
Then everyone understood too much, and the survivor groups erupted.
“Choose us!”
“We have children!”
“You brought us here!”
“You knew, didn’t you? You led us into this!”
That last one was especially stupid. This was a scenario. What exactly did they think KimCom had done? Sent a polite request to the Star Stream asking for a themed murder gate and civilian moral collapse? Booked it in advance?
Still, fear was ugly when it wanted to live. Some people begged like their lives were worth more because they were louder. Some clutched strangers and tried to look innocent. A few incarnations searched the crowd for someone weak enough to drag forward.
Expected.
Jung Heewon had a blade and a moral compass sharp enough to cut someone open with either. Her grip tightened around the hilt as the scenario took shape in front of her. It was coercion, a trap built to make victims dirty their own hands.
It was typical of the Star Stream, really.
Yoo Joonghyuk’s first instinct was, naturally, violence.
And honestly? Understandable. Encouraged? Maybe not.
His gaze cut from the dokkaebi to the gate. If he could cut it, break it, kill it, or intimidate it into becoming less of a problem, he would. If violence didn’t work, he would move to the next available solution.
Which was usually Kim Dokja.
Yoo Joonghyuk trusted Kim Dokja’s brain. Unfortunately, Kim Dokja was still Kim Dokja, and death, somehow, could also become an answer when Kim Dokja was the one holding the question.
Dokja, meanwhile, calculated faster than everyone else could panic.
The scenario had a clean route, a direct route, the kind of route that required one living incarnation as payment.
Naturally, his mind went in one stupidly specific direction first.
Han Sooyoung caught the shift in his face before anyone else did.
“Don’t even start.”
It was a wise intervention, because Kim Dokja already looked like a man arranging his own funeral.
Kim Dokja turned toward her, face mild in a way nobody in their right mind should trust. “I haven’t said anything.”
Yoo Joonghyuk didn’t look away from the gate. “You don’t need to.”
