Oh God, he loves his daughter so much! When she told him she missed him, you can see his face start to glow, I swear. I think a part of him still can’t believe that a “normal” person can love him, whether his wife or daughter and especially with his daughter it’s obviously unconditional on her part. (And I wonder if he tries so hard to be a good father with her in part because of a contrast with his own father who screwed him up for life.)

Honestly, at this point I just feel horrible for him. The killer taxi driver is yet another example of someone who is considered normal who is actually a killer and scarier than LJK’s character could ever be.

PS The whole speculation townspeople had that he helped his father kill - the hell? As the preview shows, he clearly was not involved in that sort of thing at all. Poor dude. No wonder he ends up tied up in a filling pool in the preview - he may need to watch emotion instruction videos to demonstrate emotions properly but when he goes against a real killer, he’s not going to come out ahead because unlike daddy he’s not really one, whatever may or may not have happened with the foreman notwithstanding.

PPS when he was brawling with his wife in that warehouse, to keep her from catching/seeing him, I nearly exploded when in the middle of the fight, he saw a tool shelf about to collapse on her and instinctively jumped to cover her with his own body to protect her. He loves his little fam!
