Dazai - Mizi

Sigma - Sua

While I’ve seen others do the opposite, I shifted their roles this way mainly because of the personality they display. Sigma is less over-the-top and such, like Sua - while Dazai is more boisterous and such like Mizi.

Also, Dazai oftenly gets sexualised (or sexualises himself) in a similar way to how Mizi does when becoming an idol. Dazai’s eyes are a main point of his appearance, they can tell you the age and environment he’s in (port mafia, current, beast) and also help him communicate feelings without saying a word, or deducing things by how he sees them. Ripping them out of their body entirely renders him useless to the public besides a “hot guy” for them to fawn over.

With Sigma, having him be more worried and conscious as he sees the effects that the idol industry is doing to Dazai fit him more in my mind. More self aware and such. But as the story progresses, he gets more and more obsessed with the concept of “the one that saved him” back then, to the point he physically does not want to be separated from Dazai at all. When the two argue and Dazai walks away, Sigma runs after him - but not soon enough to save him from being bit by a zombie on the loose. Yet he isn’t that much upsetted by it - quite the contrary. He is over the moon for an opportunity to stay with Dazai forever, and bends down and kisses him while he’s half-conscious to affect himself with the disease too.
