”An alien?” He repeats, he hears the term since that’s what humans would call extraterrestrial creatures that came from space and at times, those of the Vers name were called it because of their powers of using aldnoah, those he wonders if it’s true. Jude is truly weird, when being left with a child close to his age, he doesn’t know what to do about a spouse that’s in fact an alien. He doesn’t know how to accept this, pressing his hands against his chin as if in thought.
”How would I know if he’s hostile.. his hair is rather strange so maybe..” He’ll take a shot at it, literally. To see what happens as a result and report back, it’s what he’s good at. "Healing is strange and I don’t know how he does it. I don’t question him on it but he’s weird.. different, I guess." It’s not a bad thing but it’s something he needs to keep in mind, something that doesn’t die could be a problem. "He," A pause, he doesn’t know exactly what happened but, "He got a few punches in one night." He touches the side of his cheek before shaking his head.
Now this is what’s confusing him, the fact the other states they’re just doing this as some sort of an act does make Slaine suspicious. Why would someone act like a different person? And thoughts of why would someone act like they didn’t love His Princess the way he believed them all to had been. Why people did certain things is a weird concept and yet to grasp it is nothing but confusion. "So if what you’re wearing is a costume does this mean nothing of you is real.. is your face fake as well?" It wouldn’t hurt to ask..
Though he states sorry and Slaine doesn’t know what to say but nod, but wonder if he should be wary. “So you aren’t a prince but you act as if you are one, why would you lie to people in such a way?” He waits for an answer as he remembers what the other had said as well, "And if he doesn’t listen to me? You have to excuse me for asking for so much but I’m not but a bit concerned on many subjects so having you answer my inquiries is truly helpful."
She found the overall way he spoke and mannerisms were just odd. His wording and thought process was just off from what she was used to. What poor world didn’t have things like movies and plays? She could never envision herself in a situation like that or wanted to be placed in a situation like that. Even if this new found home didn’t have arts like that, she would put them together despite lacking the experience of being a director. Only if Hori-senpai was there, he would know what to do like always.
“Yeah, an alien. If he’s healing in a rapid rate, it would make sense. We’re all sort of aliens since we’re all from different worlds…” She cupped her chin in thought, realizing something critical in this situation. “Healing may be normal for him and his world but maybe not us considering we’re all from different places… So try and not be alarmed…?” That came more out to be more of a question than a statement.
“I’m not sure how you can tell if he’s hostile or not, this is a matter of trust or not. Shooting him would just probably upset him off and make the situation worse for you. I don’t suggest that unless he makes the first attack. Maybe you’re just overreacting?” He was definitely overreacting and that was coming from someone who was known for her over-exaggerated thinking.
‘S-Seriously?!’ She didn’t think the concept of acting would be so hard to explain. She needed to be patient and understanding, which luckily she was both those things. She exhaled, her head quickly shaking side to side. “No, I’m plenty real and so is my face! Why we put on these costumes is to entertain the people watching. We play out a story with actual people and act like the characters in the story.”
“I’m not lying because my people, from my school I come from, do treat me as a prince and call me one. I’m naturally charming and a good looker who has the ability to do most things without prior experience.” Now she was just flattering herself, which she have all the room to talk. “If he doesn’t listen to you…? Maybe ask for reassignment or something. It would probably be best to get out of that situation all together.” She flicked her wrist away, dismissing the last statement. “It’s okay! I don’t mind helping.”
The realization that she didn’t even know his name dawned on her. They just hit it off as soon as he addressed her directly. “Oh, what’s your name? I’m Kashima Yuu.”
