âIsnât it though? Something an orange grower can truly be proud of!â She spoke with a light laugh, but that bright smile still on her lips. She didnât notice him picking the orange until after she had already stood up and put the other one in her bag. Reaching over, she took the orange from him, admiring it a bit more before in her hands before it got put into the bag on her shoulders. âWell, I guess you are a little more height enabled than I am,â Medea joked a little, looking up at the tree a bit. âAlthough, Iâll have to warn you that even with the help Iâm still probably going to climb back up into the tree and keep picking them. My sister would tell you itâs because I never learn, but who really knows!â The witch continued before moving towards the tree once more. âHowever, if youâd like to help, youâre more than welcome! And you can keep whatever you pick.âÂ
Cain chuckled, âIâd say so.â At 6â˛5âł it was scarce he ran into anyone who didnât have to look up to meet his eyes or encountered an item out of his reach. âMaybe I outta climb into the tree for you.â Spare her the risk of falling out of the tree and breaking her arm. âI can toss the oranges down to you and you can tell me where to pick.â It wasnât often Cain took instruction from anyone else, let alone a stranger. But this case seemed like a reasonable lapse in his usual standards. He trusted her opinion on selecting the best fruits more than his own, but he doubted her capabilities in the skill of picking. âJust let me keep a handful and weâll call it even.â They would make for a good treat during his break at the construction site.
