obsessed with kris using things the player can't see to communicate with other characters. drawing on the window in the diner. 80% as much honey on toast as usual. silly faces and nodding/shaking their head. changing the tone of what we make them say to make it clear that they mean it differently. i love that it's shown time and time again that kris ISN'T apathetic about anything. kris wants friends. kris has boundaries and wants mom to know that what she did made them feel bad. kris wants the people in their life to be happy and kris wants affection. i love kris deltarune

A theoretical drawing I did during The New Lars.

By the time we were writing that episode, I was aware of speculation online that Lars was possibly a trans man struggling with dysphoria. Being one of the writers who wrote for him the most, I was open to the interpretation and began pitching ideas for him in a way where one could more easily see him as Cis OR trans.

I found and pitched the name "Laramie" because its unisex and means "Tears of Love".

It wasn't until some time later that I realized that I too am a trans man. I didnt know it at the time, but my own dysphoria was being expressed thru my writing.
