Thank you all for a very fun Oumota Week!

As previously stated on the blog, the event nearly didn't happen this year, so it was nice to see everyone's enthusiasm once we brought it back. I'd like to remind everyone that late entries are always accepted - outside of the event dates, it would be a good idea to tag or DM us to make sure we see your submission, as we won't be checking the event hashtag as often. And if any on-time posts have been missed in our reblogging sprees, please let us know and we'll reblog them ASAP.

With this year's week event coming to a close, we'd like to open up a suggestion box form to anyone that's interested in future events. Got prompt ideas, want to suggest a new type of ship event, or have some Tumblr blog organization tips? Send them here (also linked as a page on our desktop theme):

HAPPY OUMOTA DAY!!!!

In honor of oumota day, one of my favorite Danganronpa ships, here are some doodles. One is a wip I’m not planning on finishing (basically Kokichi is gifting Kaito a chocolate shaped as his head) and a sketch of their outfits for the mini comic.

Happy OumotaDay2026 everyone!!

I’m excited to say this is only part of my submission, because me and @danniwithaneye are working on an Oumota visual novel for this event!

Unfortunately due to time limits it won’t be finished for a bit longer, so the visual novel will be submitted late. But for now, we hope you all enjoy this art piece for the game! 💜

HAPPY WHITE DAY~♡

For this day I made an oumota standees and matching portraits

Their outfit designs feature some of white day iconography, Kokichi's is marshmallow and chocolate (his hat) and Kaito is lilies (his sleeves)

They also have something from each other's theme as you can see the lily on Kokichi's hair and the heart on Kaito's ribbon is made out of chocolate (this one isn't as obvious)

I also make sure their colour palette didn't branch too far from brown, white and blue.

My participation for Oumota Day! Since here where I live is already March 14th, I posted it now!

The message is an indirect confession, so the prompt I chose was that. I decided to put lilies and the main lights are in pastel blue tones!

“Let’s meet again in space, okay?” His smile definitely cracked a bit. It is, in many ways, a confession... but not a love one. Even if it did sound like it, they both knew it couldn't be one, not really. And yet, it felt so real right now. Actor AU where they're filming the hangar scenes.

★ Oumota Day 2026 ★

We're holding the first Oumota event of the year on March 14th, also known as White Day!

White Day is a holiday that originated in Japan in 1978. As Valentine's Day in Japan has traditionally been a holiday where women give chocolate as gifts to men they like, White Day was marketed by chocolate companies as a day for the men to reciprocate those gifts and affections. Given the gendered nature of these traditions, queer couples often choose to celebrate these holidays in their own way.

Oumota Day is a single day event dedicated to spreading love for the wonderful creations of the Oumota fan community. There will be 3 prompts to choose from (or combine!) and all you need to do in order to participate is create and share content inspired by one or more of the prompts! Post your work here on Tumblr and use the tag #oumotaday or #oumotaday2026 and it will be reblogged by us as soon as we see it. For additional information you can check out our Rules and FAQ pages, and if you still have any questions, feel free to shoot us an ask!

If you would like to specifically make an Oumota Day piece that is White Day themed, it's welcomed but certainly not required! White Day iconography commonly features the colors white & pastel blue, white chocolate, marshmallows, hearts, lilies, and roses.

Drip.

Kaito feels something cold drip on his face and run down his cheek. Fear clutches his heart with its claws. He keeps his eyes closed.

"Go away."

He hears a quiet giggle that sends shivers down his spine.

"Awww, aren't you glad to see me again?" a voice asks.

Kaito stays quiet.

"A-are you ignoring me? That's s-so mean!" the voice sniffles.

"Go. Away."

Drip. Drip.

"B-but I thought I meant something to you..." the voice continues it's tearful act. "Don't you miss me?"

"Not you." Kaito wants to run away, hide under the blanket or at least cover his ears. He can't bear to hear this distorted voice — his voice — anymore. He swallows. "Can you just leave me alone? For once?"

Kaito feels something shift, get closer to his face. He want's to move away, but his body refuses to listen.

"You know, I don't come here of my own free will..."

Kaito opens his eyes.

Oumota week day 3 — Dreams

Sleep Paralysis Demon

I really love concept of person being haunted but not by the spirit of a person that died. Haunted by guilt. Feeling of guilt and memories manifesting as a ghost that torments them.

I'm obsessd with idea of Kaito seeing "Kokichi" from time to time, especially in some scenarios where Kaito survives (or at least doesn't die right away). Hearing his footsteps. Feeling hands covered in blood touching him. Seeing Kokichi looking down at him whenever he opens his eyes at night lying in bed.

All those creepy ghost behavious. But it's actually not Kokichi who's haunting Kaito. Kaito's haunting himself.

There is no vengeful spirit.

There is no Kokichi.

Just Kaito. Alone with himself.

Oumota Week 2025, Day 6: change | destruction | timeloop au

Change -> Transform -> Henshin 👍

I had a lot of fun doing this one!! Ignore how much longer it took than I thought it would. I don't have the patience to actually animate fan transformations anymore, but it was fun to do the thumbnails without the pressure of drawing every frame. Putting my extensive time watching henshin compilations on YT to good use 😁

(I'm not necessarily going to draw more in this AU, but if you go back through my tag, I did actually do designs for all the V3 kids + their witches!)

Someday I'll finish my 20k word pregame oumota fic but here's this little interaction they have. Kaito's got undiagnosed untreated npd and is developing a crush and Kokichi is learning he likes to make people afraid. And they kiss.
