Under the suggestion of my friends, I’ve launched a GoFundMe in response to the massive fire we had, so I can get around to replacing my stuff a bit easier/sooner.
If you haven’t already seen, our farm property pretty much got curbstomped by a fire on May 10th, leaving the house severely damaged, our stuff damaged, and our barn/garage/smokehouse 100% gone. The house is still standing, but HOO BOY did that fire just fuck everything up inside. Smoke/water damage ensures that your stuff, if not already dead, is going to die, and I can’t really afford that. I want to replace my computer/drawing equipment, since it now has a severely limited lifespan now… and whatever’s leftover to maybe help with transportation/living expenses. Fires suck, and they have a good way messing up any sort of life mojo you have going on.
I have lots of neato frito pics of my destroyed house on the GoFundMe page, https://www.gofundme.com/cakesfirething, so if you don’t wanna pay, at least you can ooh and ahh at the decimation of my home/property.
Insurance doesn’t cover everything, and what we DO get back from personal stuff, we’re putting back into the house, not replacing our things, including my computer, my tablet, my game consoles, etc….
So, in this time of need, I turn to you guys. I know it’s messed up, and I don’t like begging for money, but I was convinced that this, of all times, would be the time to do so. If you can’t give anything, at least consider spreading this post. I’d seriously appreciate it. After all, I wanna get back to doin’ what I do as soon as possible, and anything would help.
