I took this screenshot of the map of storm over the midwest, and then looking at it decided it would look like a cool D&D world map. 10 minutes in photoshop later, here we are. Cities on the top map are wherever real cities are in the bottom map. I didn’t name anything or set the scale. Feel free to use this in your home game.

Incidentally, how ironic is it that a city called Thunder Bay wouldn’t make it onto a map made from a thunder storm?

Group 1 Important News

I (AP/ the best DM) am, as we speak, writing the campaign for Group 1. Because I am not a failure at life and because I give 0 shits about my school work this semester, I am foreseeing myself finishing enough for us to do a first session in the next couple weeks. To prepare for this, I am asking everyone in group 1 ( not-so-grurnp, panzerzeit, hey-im-grurnp, blitzkriegphoenix, and Nemo, whatever the hell your tumblr is) to make sure of a couple of things:

 - Give me a

copy

of your character sheet. I especially need this from

Magic Using

characters (with your spells already picked out!!!) so that any in-quest spells are ones that someone in the party either knows or can learn.- Find a figurine of some sorts to represent your character. I’m looking for something about 1in in height that you are okay with being associated with your character forever because it will be. If you have nothing that works, let me know, and I will set aside a generic Lego person for you. (correlating gender not promised)-Try to get your hands on one complete set of polyhedreal dice. This should be at least six dice (1d20, 1d12, 1d10, 1d8, 1d6, and 1d4), but ideally nine (1d20, 1d12, 2d10, 1d8, 3d6, 1d4). Since my dad is a huge nerd and has literally a billion dice, you can definitely borrow some if you can’t get your hands on them, but I know that a lot of people like to have their own sets.- Have a spare notebook and a couple of pencils to bring with you when we actually have the session. This will mostly be for treasure and the like, but having these in general can be extremely useful. Again, if you absolutely can’t find these, I will be able to supply some, but I would prefer it if you brought your own.-Give me a list of the days in April and May that you are definitely available (or as far as you know) so that I can schedule a day or series of days that works for everyone. Ideally, you need to be available for 4 to 6 hours on any day you write down as viable. If necessary, please list the specific hours you can be at my house, and specify if you will need transportation to and from. Girls can spend the night at my house on weekends, but guys can not due to parental rules, so keep that in mind.
