 His leaving wasn’t about you It was a about him. Single Parents face a lot of different challenges in their life. There are many different reasons for this problem such as death, unexpected baby, or the parent decide to go their separate ways.  Being a  single mother can be very stressful. Picture a mother who is dedicating her life to their kid, to make sure he or she has everything. That mother not only has to provide for her kid but she also has to play both roles of the mother and the father. It can be very hard for that parent because sometimes depending on the parent’s financial problems she might have to work two jobs, to keep a roof over her child head.  Many people do not realize how much a single mother can go through. Sometime a father can be diseased and leave the mother with no money for the child and now she is stuck all by herself trying to pay bills and raise a child. A lot of the times a mother can be pregnant but know she will not be able to take care of the child so she will get an abortion.  A single parent from a father  point of view can be very difficult than from a mother point of view. The reason why is because if a father is a single parent raising a daughter he must know how to do his daughter hair. For the simple fact that he is a single parent who doesn’t have enough funds to keep getting his daughter hair done every week, the beauty salon can be very expensive. Many fathers cannot cook which makes it even more difficult to raise a child because now he has to buy takeout food every night to make sure his daughter has something to eat. That will not be a good idea for them to eat out every night, they can get sick.  The effects of children with a single parent can be the most difficult situation. The reason I say difficult is because being an only child with a single parent can be the worst at times. For the simple fact that the child may not have friends at school or in their neighborhood to play with. Also the child will get made fun of at school because he or she doesn’t have the newest sneakers or clothes up to date. The reason for that is because he or she is going through struggles with their parent because the parent is online trying to pay bills, keep a roof over their child head and pay for them to get and education. The reason why I talked about this today is because I don't like when people treat their parents with disrespect , it just isn't right. Especially Mother’s getting treated with disrespect now and days is just unfair , the person who struggled with a child for 9 months going through pains should be treated with respect everyday.

Ever been afraid to go school because you got bullied everyday? Well I am going to talk about why I am against bullying. I have experienced bullying around 9th grade , my first year in high school which was the worst thing ever.  I met a friend name Kyle and he was a Senior who had no friends and was very lonely  . The first thing he asked me when I met him is am I going to rob him? I was confused because that is not usually the first thing you get asked when you meet a person. So he told me  that since he entered the school he has been getting bullied for his lunch money. He was a person they had no friends to look out for him, he wasn't from the area and over his four years of being at the school he made no friends.  I Didn't believe him at first until I actually seen it with my own eyes.  At my high school cardinal hayes we had a pizza shop , subways in our cafeteria , it wasn't your ordinary lunchroom. One day Kyle was at lunch ordering a subway sandwich and I seen Luis Sanchez who was also a senior go up to him and tell him to give him all of his money so he can eat, Kyle did it with no hesitation and as I looked around it seems like I am the only one who seen this going on. So I asked Kyle after all this happen why doesn’t he say nothing and he told me because he is tired of getting bullied and he doesn't want no harm. He told me his mom or dad wouldn't  believe him because they thought he was lying just so he can move back to his old town with his friends. I asked Kyle if he wanted me to say something to the dean or Principal and he told me no because he doesn’t want anything to happen to me , I told him I will be good but he said no it will just make it worse. So I left it alone. He has been dealing with this for four years. Luis Sanchez only punched Kyle in the stomach because he didn't want the Principal to have no evidence that he is getting bullied.Kyle never did anything to prevent this situation he just did what ever luis told him to do . Kyle graduated and is now in college but will have bullying memories for the rest of his life. This was so unfair to me , people shouldn't  get bullied for the simple fact that it is not the right thing to do . People who bully other people would not like it if they little or older sibling was bullied. Karma comes back around and bullying is something we have to stop. I didn't like what happen to Kyle but unfortunately it is something we can't prevent if your own parents do not believe you. Stop the bullying !!!

      Have you ever been told you can’t do something because the color of your skin? Well don’t ever let somebody tell you that you can’t do something, if you have a dream you have to protect it people can’t do something themselves so they want to tell you that you can’t do it if you want something go get it. A movie that really inspired me was The Blind Side because in this movie, the main character Michael Or, faced many hardships due to his race but he overcame them. In the movie, he always got made fun of because of his size and he came from a family who didn’t really have enough money. Michael Or didn’t begin his education until high school, so even in high school he got made fun of because he was a slow learner.  The part of the movie that really inspired me is when a white, established family took in Michael Or and treated him as a part of the family. By the family taking him in, it helped him strive to be better as a person and student. Michael Or had rough times and it wasn’t easy for him being that he was very tall and African American. He was a football player who wanted nothing for the best for people but he always seem to get mad fun off on the football and in the classroom, but no once did he ever look to commute suicide or hurt anybody.  In the movie he pushed through all hard times he ever had and never let it bring him down and now Michael Or is in the NFL playing for the baltimore ravens.  This was based on a true story. The reason why I wrote about this topic is because over the summer I actually seen a basketball player one of my closet friends not make the team because he was too small and also because he would of been the only non african american on the team he was Caucasian and he just didn’t fit the requirements for the team. This is a different sport but the same concept  I thought that was very unfair. The person took this situation different than Michael Or , He didn’t keep his head up and work on his basketball game instead he gave up and stop playing basketball. It hit me hard because I don’t like to see anybody give up no matter how hard something gets. Never give up. Nothing in life is given to you , you have to take what is yours.

I learned many things from others  ideas , such as how many different topic there are to research about . The main topic that caught my attention was the football one with having a plan b. The reason why is because I play football and i could relate to how people don't have a plan b. I see it every day on how people just know football and nothing else. I only played football because I fell in love with it but my Plan A was always being a actor and it still is . This topic can relate to  mine because its about football players not getting paid and how  this topic says football players don't get help after college if the NFL doesn't  work.  Which means the coaches should put more effort into us players instead of just talking football to us and find out about or sleeves and really take the time to learn something about us that they don't know

My project will be based on the effects of food and how food changed over the years. In other words, food today helps make people bigger due to whats in the food. For example, chickens are filled with drugs being pumped into it yearly. Another example of why people aren’t as healthy as they can be is due to processed food. Processed food contains loss of nutrients, bad absorption, salt, lack of real taste, fats (saturated) and the quality isn’t that great. Processed foods will try and display their positive side which actually gives the customer a false idea(100) of what processed foods actually bring. Over a 100 years food nutrients has changed. Our grandparents are actually healthier than we might think. The studies in colorado states that the nutrient density has decreased tremendously of 40-60% over the past 100 years. Recent study also showed that only 11% of americans eat 2 fruits and 3 vegtables everyday. They claim that this unhealthy combination of nutrient poor foods of a open door for disease especially if its used as a lifetime deal. The main question that people need to ask themselves is “this food given/produced by God or (200)is it jus processed by man?” This question is a way of understanding how food has changed over the years. In the past, people killed an animal, cleaned it and then cooked it until it became edible. In today’s food world, our food is processed through test and chemicals. In my project web, I’d have a before and after affect from the difference food had on us today opposed to the food our grandparents ate. This topic can bring up a debate because even back then there were alot of unhealthy people but processed food tends to be everything we (300)eat. We are taught that the food we eat will gives us nutrients everyday and will help us sustain a good living when in reality it’s not true. Everything in today’s society is processed with food coloring, steroids etc. Our grandparents often had gardens and growing things form the ground up with provides healthy nutrients. The food we have now is actually slowly killing us individuals. If we ate food from the ground, the world would be healthier because thats how the food is given to us. It was never processed to being with. Everything we eat and digest now is man made to get money from us who eat it (customers). This can even go deeper than the topic im discussing. For example, people around the world are sick and not saved because of the man made pills thats given. If the people knew that something small as ginger or macaroot was used in people’s diet; they will live longer lives. Everything from the root/ground is good for the body but not anything processsed.

I like where you are going with this because this is very true. The part that really caught my attention was how you can kill an animal clean it and then cook it. Thats how a lot of us eat now and days which is why some people can eat unhealthy because sometimes when someone cleans the animal they don't clean it good enough and it can get you sick.  Also adding to you topic many people eat after 12am which is not good because that is very unhealthy and a lot of the times only things open at that time is Wendy’s , burger king which is not good for you at all . This is a very good topic and it seems like you have a lot to talk about and I am really interested in to see where you are going with this.

My project is on Athletes, Specifically college football players that leave school early for the draft only to not be drafted. The problem with this is that regulations prevent these players to return to school or enter into the following year’s draft. In the 2014 draft class a record 107 underclassmen declared for the NFL draft, 45 of those players went undrafted. A majority of those 45 remain unsigned by NFL teams as undrafted free agents. These players are left without any options, many of these players believed football careers were the only thing they wanted to do but because of this rule these careers are cut short. The sad part is many of them, had they taken more time to develop their skills, could’ve been really good NFL players. Most of these players are in their early twenties and decision making isn’t always their strong suit. They need to be coached up and taught more than just football.

I feel that the NCAA and NFL need to team up to solve this problem. One development that has been made on the NFL’s behalf is a grading system that offers players with estimated draft grades to give them an idea on where they might go. This grading system is a good start but I believe the problem stems from college. Coaches bring these players in to play football, and only to play football. Coaches need to teach the importance of school as well as football. Players should have backup plans so that in the even things don’t work out they aren’t stuck without a job and without an education. Also there’s the option of rule changes that make it harder to leave school early or with the implementation of the grading system, require players to have at least an A or B grade in order to be allowed to leave early.

On my web map I plan to show the success of these players at lower levels. Then I’ll show the outside pressures put on the kids to make it. After that I’ll go through the process of declaring for the draft, and how some players get drafted and others don’t.  I’m going to branch off into two directions, one for the players who make it and one for the players who don’t.  Finally for the players who don’t ill show life after football and show the struggle that the players then go through.

This project is going to be a huge success.I agree with everything you are saying because it’s not fair to those football players that leave early and don't  get drafted , now why can't  they come back to school and finish there football years in college football. That way they can get another chance to enter the NFL. Some football players only know to play football because thats what they grew up doing and nothing else really matters to them. It’s every football player dream to play in the NFL and most of us football players put so much hard work into practice and game that we don't have a plan b because our plan b is to get plan A to work. I play division 3 football , now not many football players from division 3 go the the NFL but like you was saying why don't the coaches help you and show you that their is more to life but football once we enter the real world. For example give players that are graduating internships or help them with connects to get a good job so that they don't just graduate college and be doing nothing because they been playing football all their life. I like this project but the one thing I don't agree with is the A and B grades average in order to leave because us football athletes do a lot  everyday and to maintain good grades in school we try hard for All As but sometimes we get B and C because the work wasn't  good enough and we can be a little tired from doing the same thing repeatedly so it wouldn't be fair in my opinion.

Why do American College students wear black?

researching why american college students wear black so much; may not seem like the ideal research project, but it interest me because no one really pays attention to things like that? why? I believe a persons appearance says a lot about themselves including there way of thinking. A lot of college students i have asked why they are wearing black tell me that it gives them a very chic look, so of course there response goes under style. A couple other people said it doesn’t draw much attention to them compared to someone wearing all yellow. I am still working on my web map, and i want to divide all the responses i got into 5 different sections. which i believe right now is Style, emotions, appearance (big, medium, small), character, and mind set. You may think that my sections are similar but a great amount of things differs them from the other.  Im not really sure how an argument is suppose to help me create the web map? Actually this entire project is very confusing to me, and i am trying my best to understand how you want it to be. But i gave up on that and will make my project a representation of what i understood from you( marybeth) discussing about it. The argumentation part should help me pick different photos because my issue does have alot of different outlooks. Not everyones response connects to the research i have done. Something about the color black can mean something totally different in another country then america thats why i only chose to research on american college students. It also matters the time of when the color black was being worn. like in the 60’s when the Black Panthers would wear all black signifying there blackness. The color black also signifies alot of “ emo” kids where it didnt start a movement like the panthers but its an emotional stage for many teenagers going through depression. I have found many research on the color black. but im not sure what my argument is; representation in my web map for my viewers to understand is the most important thing to me in this project. i want my viewers to learn some new information that they could have never imagined. & im making that my job to do. thats why i feel that this project is so challenging for me. To bring some new information into someones life is very challenging but, i cannot wait to be done with this project. Just to see the outcome that i want to happen.

I am not really sure where you are going with this but hopefully it comes out good . I am going to have to disagree with you on this because you cannot judge a person by what they are wearing .For example a person could have a black hoodie on just going to take the garbage out and you can not just think this person is up to no good just because he or she has a hoodie on , for all that they can be a very smart and productive person who has a job ,a house and is living very good not bothering anyone. Some people just like to wear black because it’s what they have in their closet and because its’s college not everyone wants to look for an outfit every single day , especially if you play sports. Also because maybe many students cannot afford other things so they get black, remember we are in college and have to pay for school so all of our money go to this school. It is not easy like it used to be. Wearing black goes with everything also , it is a color that is perfect with every outfit. Thats why many college students wear it a lot

My research project is on * why don't college football players in suny schools  get paid to play the game they love* The reason I am doing research on this is because I feel that us football players put a lot of work in to play the game we love. Being that we can't get a football scholarship at this level , we should at least get paid. Everybody on the team doesn't have to get paid because that is a lot of money but if one player is outstanding or a couple players ,then those few players should get paid at least some kind of money. First step on my web would be a picture of a division 3 star athlete who puts in a lot of hard work and got the football team in a winning season. The reason for that web picture is because it shows how this individual athlete is putting the team on his back and got them on the road to success and doing good things for his team.The second picture on my web would be a classroom and football field because thats’ all us football players know is class and football nothing else matters. School first football second. Another picture on my web would be money to show how much it would help us good football players if we got paid. The reason why I say help us is because we have to pay for college since there is no Athletic scholarships in the division 3 level so getting paid would help us have money to get things we really need such as books, folders and gear for football. This research top fits me because it is not easy being a division 3 athlete . The reason I say that is because I understand what other college football athletes go through such as not having a scholarship and having to pay for everything they want. It is not easy being a college football player in a suny school that do not giving football scholarships for the simple fact that nothing is free. Not many people have the funds to get everything they need . Which is why I think football players should get paid or at least get things for free that are needed. Like why should the players have to pay for events that are happening on campus such as parties or a talent show, like the littles things could help out a lot since college football players can't get paid.

Why do some females think it’s ok to get an abortion and go on with life? Abortion is the ending of pregnancy it is also known as a miscarriage. Abortion is something you see everyday from young females or females who have no jobs and can't  handle a baby at the moment. It’s unfair to have an abortion because that female is killing a baby who could of been the next Michael Jordan or the next Tom Brady. It is not a good thing to have an abortion but sometimes it is what’s best for that person and it happens. So I can understand having one abortion because you made a mistake and you learn from it, not to say a female should do it but it does happen and its life. Now what gets me up set is  a female would get an abortion more than once and be ok with that. That is not cool at all because you are hurting you self by doing that , the reason why is because when a female decide to actually have a baby and is ready for the big stage she might not be able to have one because of the abortions she had already. You really see abortion from the ages of 18-29 the most and this is because some are young and just not ready or are ready but then have to think about their future and will they be able to provide for the baby. I believe that abortion is wrong and females shouldn't do those type of things if you not you cannot handle the consequences , if there are consequences. Abortion can be so horrible because a female is murdering a child who haven't got a chance to meet the family , see day light or walk and laugh and it sucks because now that child will never have a chance to see what life is about. Females if you are not ready to have a child and you are sexually active just be on the safe side and get the shot or take plan b so that way you won't kill any child life please. I think every child deserves life and a female shouldn't take that chance away from them just because they got in a situation they couldn't handle and wasn't ready.So my advice to all the females out there is use protection at all time or just don't do it at all. Abortion is nothing to play with either because it cost a lot of money so if something like that does happen for any female out there, get ready to become a women and take care of what is yours and provide for your child .

“Perseverance is the steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.” Many times people are challenged with a lot of difficulties in their life. If one has a dream he or she must use perseverance so it can be achieved. When times get hard, one must not give up, but he or she should persevere and fight through it. Other words that describe *perseverance* are dedication, determination, stamina, consistency, and persistence. Words that do not describe *perseverance* are laziness, giving up, quitting and weakness.Picture yourself working hard for a scholarship but the coaches tell you that you do not qualify for their school because your test grades were to low.  Would you give up or would you let *perseverance* guide you to stay motivated to keep going forward? Many people give up now and days because something get’s  to hard and they don't want to deal with it because it’s to much work. I get a little upset when I see things like this because nothing in life is given to you , you have to take what’s yours. A lot of the times many people would complain about the little things such as tired from working to much. When their are Single parents out there trying to raise three children by their selves and using *perseverance* everyday to keep their children provided with food and clothes on their back. I have experienced *perseverance* my senior year in High School when my principal told me that if I didn't pass my global regent I would not graduate. That’s when the clock started ticking and *perseverance* kicked in because for four years of high school I wasn't in the library for over more than an hour. I was in the library for 3 hours since I got that news. I gave up my social life for the next few months and got my head in the history book. I didn't give up because I wanted to graduate and be a college student. As the school year was coming to an end I received my score and I passed. This goes to show you how *perseverance* is apart of our everyday lives, such as school , work and sports. It does not matter what you are doing when something get’s hard , continue to strive at it and be the best you can be to achieve your goal. When times get hard, one must not give up, but he or she should persevere and fight through it. The reason why I talk about *perseverance* is because times can be a little rough but that does not mean he or she should give up, if you got a dream follow your dream and go make it happen.

Well let me start off by introducing myself my name is Nautica. “Yes like the famous clothing line”. I am a very outgoing person. I spend most of my days hanging out with friends and partying. An addition to that, I work two jobs as well.Over the summer I saved up, my pay checks to travel and see mesmerizing sights. During this time I realized, I might declare my major as a traveling nurse. But as of right now I am still, an undeclared student at Buffalo State College. I am 19, with a lot of charisma. My favorite food is Spanish, and Italian food, I could eat that for days. I have five brothers and sisters total. I’m the middle child.  My family is very close, we spend most holidays in various vacation spots. For example V.A, ATL, Florida etc. I found Florida the most exciting. Orlando studios was a blast. I enjoy heart reaching rides.  You could say I am a dare at heart.Furthermore, other interesting things about me is I love to read, and learn new things. Before I came to Buffalo State College, my passion was writing. I wanted to be a journalist. English throughout high school was my strongest subject. At that time I imagined that I one day I would work for the New York Times. Also I even thought about writing in a fashion magazine like Seventeen, or Vogue. But when I came to college my views on writing as a profession slowly timbered. I believe college had taken away the fun of writing.In other words I hope in this CWP class I will be able to create well-structured essays that are interesting to the whole class. Not only that but topics that we all can relate to. For example politics, and racism. Recently over the weekend I experienced first hand, racism, alive and well. My friends and I were at a restaurant, where the waitress implied we should move to the back. Furthermore she said horrible things to me and my peers. She even said “I hit her”. The realization at this point had dawned on me that these types of public issues need to be addressed. I feel these types of topics are happening right now in society for example “black lives matter” but shouldn’t “ALL lives matter”. Topics like these I look forward to being discussed in class.

The name is uniqe, I like it. Working two jobs had to be a lot because i worked one over the summer and I was very tired so I can only imagine how tired you had to be. I know your pay check was all worth the hours you put in tho. So that is a good part about working two jobs. How is it having that many siblings and being the middle child, I would like to know if it can get annoying at time or if you do not get bothered at all. I have one little sister and i could never get mad at her but its different from having 5.  I enjoyed reading the fact that you said your family goes to many different places for vacation and that is a blessing because many families just say hi and bye now and days. Going on vacation could not happen because some families do not get along in order to do things like that. So you should cherish those moments. I am also hoping for the same in CWP and hopefully that happens. “ ALL lives matter” is a perfect topic and I would look forward to  having discussion like that and many more.

Who am I?

I’m not a writer, but I can write. I write all the time, I write for school. I write music. I write every day but I’m not a writer. I was a three-sport varsity player in high school playing football, basketball, and baseball. Football was my life, it was an everyday grind and I always left it all on the field. Basketball gave me some of the greatest memories of all time. I helped put a championship banner on the wall. I’ve built bonds with my teammates that can never be broken. I’ve stolen bases, hit home runs and struck out plenty… it taught me a lot. I still play basketball to this day; I also spend a lot of my time at the gym. Am I an athlete? No probably not. Like any other college student, I enjoy spending time with friends. Laughing, partying and having fun. But I don’t even drink so I can’t be a party animal.  I love to sing, produce, play or even just listen to music. Everything I do requires music. Maybe I’m a musician…nope not that either. I’m supposed to be introducing myself here but there’s a big problem… I’m not even sure who I am yet. I’m still trying to figure that out. Maybe I am a writer, Maybe I am an athlete, Maybe I’m just here to party, or maybe I’m just waiting for my big break as a musician. One thing I can say is maybe I’m just a work in progress…. When I find out who I am ill be sure to let you know…

I only like to write when my story is interesting.I can understand where you are coming from because nobody likes to write It is not the best thing to do. That is very great to be a varsity player at three different sports , not many people can say they have done that. I only played Football and Basketball in High School but my main sport was football and still is. Baseball wasn't really my thing because i could not take a fast ball being pitched at me . You have to be one great athlete to do all 3 of those at a varsity level. So you are an athlete in my eyes. You do a lot of things and keep your self occupied at all times , keep grinding and do what ever you feel makes you happy . You don't have to drink to have fun, I feel you can still have fun as everyone else even if you are not drunk. Your liver will be better than their I can tell you that much,just be your self. I have never blogged before and I have never felt the urge to start blogging but now that I have to create weekly blogs for my writing class in college I am willing to give Tumblr a try. All my life ever since I was a little girl I grew up playing sports they were always a big part of my life, I had intentions to play in college then my life took a turn and was injured I tore 3 ligaments in my ankle and haven’t been able to get them fixed. This injury has prevented me from playing for college but since then I have joined a bar league and have made some great friends who also have been through similar struggles. When we play we are out there to have fun, it’s not all about winning and getting first place. Without sports in my life many of the opportunities I have had places I have been to or friendships I have made. Each year my family my family takes a trip to Florida at the same time, but this summer was the first summer that was different my parents got a divorce so it was a year of a bunch of firsts who to spend holidays with where to spend all of my time, it also brought a bunch of questions like what if it was something I did that caused the divorce or what if I could have done something to prevent the divorce? After countless questioning my parents said that there is nothing my sister and I could have don’t to help them it was a mutual decision and did what was in our best interest, after years of listening to kids I grew up with complaining about how they are tired of going back and fourth from their moms to their dads or having to meet their parents new significant other, I understand how they feel. It is difficult to maintain a good relationship with both parents while trying to show them that I have not chosen a side. Although it’s been a difficult year I’m excited to see how the future will work out, hopefully for the better and even though I have been experiencing a rough path it has to get worse before it can get better.

Blogging is also new to new to me with using tumblr , this is my first time so i am in the same boat as you. A female who plays sports is very attractive to me . The reason why I say very attractive is because you understand what it is to be a student athlete and you keep your self occupied at all times. Injuries is something athletes shouldn't play with because it can be very serious , especially the one that you have gotten.The injury you had is very dangerous and I can see why you didn't  continue to play sports. I broke a bone in my body before which was my leg and it was the worst ever. So i understand the pain you went through when you got that injury. I am glad you are ok now tho. I agree with the have fun part because thats the most important thing you have to do is have fun because it just a game at the end of the day but you also want to win. I am going to have to disagree  with you on the winning and first place because every time I have a game i look forward to winning and always come in first place because I love to compete. I can't  really relate to you with the divorce part but I can understand how it feels to be with one parent . I grew up with only my mother to watch me since my father was diseased a year after I was born . I only became stronger because of that . You have to keep the word perseverance in your head at all times and better days will come.

Blogging

I have never blogged before and I have never felt the urge to start blogging but now that I have to create weekly blogs for my writing class in college I am willing to give Tumblr a try. All my life ever since I was a little girl I grew up playing sports they were always a big part of my life, I had intentions to play in college then my life took a turn and was injured I tore 3 ligaments in my ankle and haven’t been able to get them fixed. This injury has prevented me from playing for college but since then I have joined a bar league and have made some great friends who also have been through similar struggles. When we play we are out there to have fun, it’s not all about winning and getting first place. Without sports in my life many of the opportunities I have had places I have been to or friendships I have made. Each year my family my family takes a trip to Florida at the same time, but this summer was the first summer that was different my parents got a divorce so it was a year of a bunch of firsts who to spend holidays with where to spend all of my time, it also brought a bunch of questions like what if it was something I did that caused the divorce or what if I could have done something to prevent the divorce? Writers Inventory 102

Creativity and love, my perfect bowl to make me; a writer. staring off with a blank computer screen is very challenging for me. i need to throughly plan out my ideas and create and outline. Creating outlines is very helpful to me because when i write long documents it helps me identify which steps to take in order to brake up information into manageable pieces. I also like to let my audience have a well understanding of what i am talking about. i don’t feel so confident with my grammar and selection of words. want to improve my choose of words to a college level where my professor would read my work and be very impressed. It is very important to communicate your point quickly and professionally. i know if i spent more time writing and reading i’ll be more successful. A topic i enjoy discussing would be double standards. I find myself doing a lot of things “men” would typically consider girly, and it bothers me because our generation is informed and now more educated on double standards but much older generation like our parents and so on aren’t. I want the older generation to understand what our generation is trying to do, I believe we are all one and they don’t understand that because the way they were raised and taught was very different from what it is now. Some things i like to do for fun is dance in a classroom. I love to learn new movements and find new ways to challenge my body. My main interest is to grow as a student. By the end of this course I want to write beautiful informative essays. My goal for learning and writing as a student and as a professional is to broaden my horizons. I would like to explore more topics and arguments.

This is a great start. I like how you want to be perfect at your writing and plan out your ideas so you know exactly what to write about. It helps a lot because you get to see what to talk about first and how the order would be. Also it would help you through out the whole essay as you continue to write , if you get lost you can just look at your outline and it would help you get back on task to your assignment you are writing about. I am having the same issue as you with grammar issues and I am willing to fix that. If you work hard this semester you should reach your goal with out a doubt and you will be where you want to be.

Blog#1

I have many things to say about my self. Some things you should know about me is that I am funny , can sing and dance. The reason why i say I am funny is because I make many people laugh at times and also when I do acting skits. I can sing but only on certain days when I am feeling it. I dance everyday because that is one of my favorite things to do I just can't stop dancing it make me get through my day better. I am not shy to dance in front of anybody , I am always ready. I play football that is my first love and I do play for Buffalo state. I been playing football since I was 12 years, the reason I started playing is because after a while it started to irritate me that i wasn't doing anything with my life but going to school and home. I am now happy that I started playing because it honestly helped me be more busy and focus better. I am proud to say that I am in college and that the rules are way better than my High School. I am saying that due to the fact that I could not have a beard in my school and also if I was late I would get “Jug” which is detention. Also a big difference in College than High School is that it is co ed. I went to an all boy School so at first it was little different having girls in my class because I wasn't used to it. I was unfocused at first but then i had to remind my self that I am here for school work and football so I have to be focused at all times. Being a student athlete is not so easy as it looks because us athletes have to put a lot of time in to maintain our sports and books. Time management is a big part of my life since I am involved with football. At first it was a little difficult but after a while I kept repeating the same thing over and over such as staying on top of my school work and working hard on the football field. I got used to it and now it is a everyday thing on my schedule.
