Einstein once said “I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots”.
Sometimes I believe the world is at this point, or extremely close to it. Technology has exponentially advanced in such little time, creating an generation of technologically dependent people. Most questions that are asked are answered with the statements “theres an app for that” or “look it up on google”. Communication with others is limited to sometimes solely texting, or a social media profile. This realm of technology that us humans created have lead to illusion, and change of perception. Writing or posting things through technological devices can send out (no pun intended) messages about yourself that aren’t true or real. For example, It is extremely easy to say one thing over text but not actually mean it.
A few months ago, my dad mentioned this issue of technology taking over our human interactions. He said “Trust in others is diminishing as time goes on”. When I asked him why he believed that, he stated “Before phones and social media, when you asked someone to meet somewhere, you would set a place and time and hope they’d keep their word of being there. Keeping your word means nothing now. Words are twisted because people are hiding behind screens to communicate”. These words stuck to me and really made me think. Real face-to-face communication is becoming less and less common because of the world of technology that is only growing greater and greater. Many think that using technology brings the world closer, but its only isolating us from the world in front of us, and experiencing life in the moment. Why focus on a screen when there is the beauty of nature and life all around us? I ask myself this question a lot, especially after finding myself attached or in need of my phone. I realize that I am living a much healthier, less stressful life without technology.
This generation is chained to technology, and basically runs our lives. Every social gathering, event, concert, or fun experience is filled with almost every person on their phones. Why capture every moment on technology rather than actually experiencing it? This thought angers me, and it’s only going to get worse. I feel extremely saddened when I see children as little at 3 playing on iPads and other technology devices. Wouldn’t you rather teach your child that the root of fun experiences comes from being outside and experiencing the world, rather than technological world that isn’t real and natural?
I hope we can make a difference in this world, and appreciate our experiences and lives without technology, before it is too late. I hope the future generations aren’t full of idiots, as Einstein said he feared.
When I was a kid I would spend hours outside playing in trees and wandering through our backyard woods, or reading books perched in those same locations. I know we tend to exaggerate our past, but I can truly say hours every day were spent with me doing I did just that. I also played tag games with the neighborhood kids, and watched very little television (mostly because there wasn’t much to watch). That time spent daydreaming, being bored and learning about life by arguing with siblings, cleaning my room, playing with the neighbors and reading, reading, reading has helped me to be a successful adult who navigates and uses technology to my advantage. I constantly struggle with the allure and the siren call to the amazing things that technology can provide but I still read, attend theater, ‘play’ with friends and have wonderful conversations with family. I think the ticket to successfully integrating technology within our lives is to allow time for daydreaming, boredom and chores for each new generation and with that I remain hopeful!
It’s crazy what technology can do for us. Everyday I think about it I tend to get a little afraid of where its going. Everytime I think of technology now I think of things such as a gps, navigation system, seri off the phone etc. Technology is so advanced and ahead of us that we can’t get away with anything even if we tried. For example, theres a new app that people have to pay for that shows who your girlfriend/boyfriend is texting during the day. At first, I totally thought it was illegal and then it just reminded me why people rely on their phones for everything. If I had a child I would hate to bring him into this world because it’s literally filled with technology. This doesn’t allow your brain to think and its a system of being controlled in a way that most of us don’t see.The whole situation is scary and sad.
One thing that I am truly proud of as a person is where I come from and my nationality. It feels nice on the inside to be proud of what makes you special and unique. What I find really unique about people when I meet them is where they are from and what their nationality is. Whether they are Hispanic or Native American, I find it interesting learning about people and their families. Personally, my family is from Buffalo, New York and Akwesasne, New York. My family on both sides is Native American, making me full Native American. My mother and father are Mohawks and my mother is a part of the wolf clan. My father on the other hand is turtle clan. Since you take your mothers clan, I am also wolf clan. I am very proud to be native because I believe that it is what makes my family and I so special. We spend time learning about our Nationality and how to please the Creator. We treat our ancestors how peasants treat kings and queens. We believe they need the best treatment. For example, when we are at a social gathering or a family party, when it is time to eat, our elders always go first so that we know they will have enough food. The young wait till the end because it doesn’t take much to fill their tummies. When meeting new people, learning about who they are is the best part in my opinion. Normally, it is easy to connect with people when talking about nationalities and comparing the differences between yours and theirs. I am truly inspired by other people’s beliefs and what makes them so special compared to others. I find it easy to talk to people about where they come from and about their families. Personally, my family is most important and if you don’t agree with your family, I hope to believe that there is a good reason because if so you are missing out. Family is the center of my happiness. If we can relate on these main topics then I am sure we will get along. If we cannot relate, that is ok too. Being able to respect our differences can also make us very unique. This is very important and people will respect you very much if you can accept the differences and look past them. So who cares if you don’t agree, it’s just the cherry on top if you do.
Excellent!
Its interesting that you said this because i’m the same way. At times, when i’m on campus I’m usually interested in knowing different people and where they come from because thats important. Knowing where you come from is another way of a person seeking/knowing your identity. I love me and my people including my background as an african american. Every ethnicity or individual are all made of some background filled with historical facts as well. The reason I find this interesting is because everyone has somebody that relates to them whether its because of your skin, religion, background etc but its also amazing to learn about someone else thats totally different from you.I’ve always
I always get so excited when this time of year comes around. As much as I hate to see the warm weather fade away and the sun start to set earlier, there are so many things to look forward to in the next couple of months! Fall always has a great crisp smell in the air that I love. I also like the fashion that comes along with the season. The big sweaters and leggings with boots. It is always fun to go pumpkin and apple picking and do corn mazes before Halloween. I used to like the haunted houses but I always get so scared that I have just stopped putting myself through that. The movies that are on TV are always really good time, my favorite being Hocus Pocus. Fall time also means Thanksgiving, which who doesn’t love. It is literally a day you can stuff yourself with amazing food and not feel guilty about it. It is also nice to have family all together and see the ones you do not see that often besides holidays. Once Thanksgiving is over that means that its one of the best times of the year, the end of the semester haha. Although it is such a stressful time to finish up finial projects, cram in the remainder of lessons, and study for the dreaded finials week, it is amazing when it’s over. Then everyone comes home from school and you can see all your friends from high school! The week right after finials week is Christmas, which of course is the best holiday ever! I love how everyone is so happy around this time of the year. There are also some more really good movies on TV for this season too. Elf is by far one of my favorite Christmas movies. My boyfriend’s mom always watches those sappy Hallmark movies and I usually get sucked into them and end up spending a whole day just doing that. Then of course there is the Christmas cookies and the fudge, love the fudge. I feel as though the different food really is one of my favorite parts in every different holiday. The winter is also a fun time because I love to go skiing and tubing. I have definitely found that living in Buffalo is much more enjoyable when you learn to love the snow. Especially since we have it for such a long portion of the year and so much of it. I am so excited for all these things coming up! I just hope they don’t pass by too fast.
The holidays really is the best time of the year, everyone around you is so happy to be giving gifts and receiving them and it seems like all the bad parts of your life can just slip away. Christmas doesn’t feel like Christmas without watching Will Ferrell on repeat. Fall in buffalo makes everything so much more exciting too everyone here loves fall there are so many great places here to go to see the different colors of the leaves. The worst part would be finals week which I agree is very stressful but the reward after its all over is the most amazing feeling.
The fall is always the best time of year for me as well due to playing football, football tv watching and holiday celebrations etc. It just seems like everything good falls in place. Most people can’t stand this time of year due to the weather which is understandable because that requires more work to clean up. For me personally, I enjoy the weather being the way it is because it allows me to stay in the house and just enjoy my beautiful family. This time of year in my eyes is a time of positive memories that will never be forgotten. Everything is great in the fall all the way up to christmas. I just enjoy having that kid feeling every year without being reminded of my age. I’m only 19 but in other peoples eyes i’m getting older and others may feel that I need to act a certain way; but my family always taught me to have a wonderful spirit this time of year.
Society
Now a days it’s so hard to find someone that puts someone else before themselves. I can honestly say I’ve met 2 people that are still in my life today that would go out of their way to help me even if it put them in a poor position. And I consider myself blessed to have 1 let alone 2 of these people here for me. The reason so many people are unsatisfied with their own lives today is because everyone is so focused on themselves. When I go out of my way for these 2 people it gives me a sense of happiness that I can’t get any other way even doing something twice as good for myself. If you could go out of your way once in a while and then possibly make a habit of it to help others that you don’t necessarily have to the world as we know it would be a better place. It all starts with you though, each individual must play his or her part to fix the society we live in today to make for a better tomorrow. You could start with small things like just working with individuals if u see they could use your help and work up to helping you’re community and maybe even larger on after that but with people doing things like this it helps in other aspects of society as well. People are more willing to trust someone if they go out of their way in ways like this their also more likely to join if they see their not the first one. People are always looking to follow the right thing but no one is willing to leap out and do the right thing first and lead. If you hold any type of leadership role over anyone these are the things that need to be shared to lead by example. To many officials say one thing then do the other and that also needs to come to a stop but again it all starts with you. All ages races and gender can lead in fact we need that if we don’t have everyone contributed to the cause it can never fully be a success and in that case we will never reach our full potential as a society. And even if you don’t care maybe your kids will and do you want them growing up in a hard unforgiving place or a place rather where they can be welcomed and helped rather than out on their own. It’s all up to you.
I agree with what you have to say everyone nowadays seems to just be focused on themselves and don’t care what other people around them are doing. Many turn out this way because of things that have happened to them in the past. They are scared to try new things as well because they are scared they are going to be made fun of which has become the sad truth of our society we all want to see a change but trying get people all to change is the most difficult challenge we face.
I also totally agree with this because it speaks the truth. Today, in church this message kind of ran across as the spiritual message. My pastor said that people are so into themselves because their to worried about making others like them for them. For example, people will try and buy the new jordans just so they can fit in or be liked by folllowers of society. The problem as you notice still remains because no one helps people just to make another person happy. Sometimes I question what this world is actually coming too. Individuals seek another persons attention for the wrong reason. This also goes back to how we might think its weird to be extra nice towards someone. This lady at my job is known for making excellent subs and always gives her heart or just enjoys making people day by giving but the world around her makes her feel as if she’s crazy. Its just sad how this world view each other on a daily basis. I pray for better.

Multimodal composing is the theory of communication and social semotics. It describes communication and social semiotics. Multimodality describes communication practices in terms of the textual, aural, linguistic, spatial and visual resources. In other words, the multimodal texts are works to express more than just words and letters to communicate but photographs, drawings, videos etc will provide the reader/observer to recieve the meaning out of the work you just completed. They’ll often respect it more as well due to the extra work thats done to it oppose to just having words on a sheet of paper. It will attract the persons eyes towards your work. The aspects of multimodality that will help lead my project 2 towards being good is just the idea of creativity. I enjoy drawing and expressing true feelings including actually applying it on paper/posters etc. This will let me know how to help enhance or to give my project 1 a better look than before to draw the observers towards fully understanding. Project 1 was good for me but it wasn’t great. This is due to having a eye catcher with my work of art but not actually bringing a message with it . In other words, it still gave the audience and the intended crowd a question mark. In Project 2, I will express my knowledge/research through a comic book so I can help the reader/audience walk through a story that most people can relate to or at least give a more/clearer version of the point i’m trying to get across. My topic was on processed food and how it affects us everyday without the world really seeing it. After, I get creative with the comic book I will then also incorporate why the FDA allows these things to happen and why are these items cheaper? Multimodality composing will make the project stronger because once again it will enhance my creativity oppose to my first project. I feel project 2 just gives me and everyone else another opportunity to really showcase your creativity for the first time with out having alot of mistakes. Project 1 was a little difficult for me to put together at first until I realized that drawing is still another passion of mine that I actually enjoy doing. I figured that mostly everyone would like my project due to the creativity but some of my drawing left people confused and this time I want to bring it home with everything correct. I truly feel that my recent research/knowledge including the comic book will allow the audience to once again appreciate my work but on a higher level.

I totally agree with this! I couldn’t help but read this because its the truth. Technology is making harder and harder for people to be smart because of its distraction and how it affects us all on a day to day basis. For example, sometimes something as simple as getting home can sometimes be difficult because we rely on the gps to do the work for us. It’s a everyday problem because sooner or later were going to suffer as we are already. This doesn’t require us to think as much which is allowing our brain to not function the way it can. Thats why man made materials are hurting the youth and even the elderly people around us.In other words, the elderly can’t help but except.

My blog is about the work load I had to deal with on halloween. It was the worst day I ever worked towards halloween or any holiday. The day before halloween I was told that, that day would be busy but not to crazy. The moment I showed up for work it turned out to be the complete opposite. I’ve been working at lanovas (pizza) restaurant for almost a year and I can honestly say that the experience yesterday was way harder to maintain as oppose to the superbowl. The presence of my job actually irritated me to a certain extent because I feel like I should’ve gotten a raise(100) or paid more specifically for the amount of work that had to be done. I arrived at two (2) and didn’t get out until closing (12;30). My job is divided into sections and if one person makes a mistake the whole assembly line of work is messed up. The first part of working on the wings is to box everything and putting the slip on the boxes that have orders to be made and then telling the third man in the assembly line to drop the right amount. Yesterday, I was the man keeping the wings shook in the oil(200) vat so they cook correctly and don’t stick together. Of course the first man on the assembly line has to not only box but also pit the wings after I tell him what he needs to pit. Therefore, the third man after he drops wings, he is then assigned to drop snacks or anything else when wings are cooking. The variety of snacks we hold are chicken fingers, mozzerella sticks, chicken patties, pizza rolls, french fries, potato fries, chicken bites, popcorn chicken etc. I said that so you have some what of an idea of the amount of work (300)this can then turn into when being busy. The reason why yesterday was the worst day to work on was because we had to drop anything a customer wanted of his or her choice. The superbowl we have a rule that we can only drop barbecue or hot wings because it’ll be easier to do instead of trying to do extra like honey mustard, honey sesame, ghost chili, hot bbq, bourbon mollassess, terriaki wings etc. The process is extremely longer and more tiring including the fact that it requires alot of running back and forth after running out of supply. People were arguing ready to fight after constant mistakes on certain orders after being overwhelmed of the amount of work we had to face. The moment I even showed up there were over 50 orders made on time slips. For example, 3;30, 3;45, 4;00 and so on. Overall it was extremely stressful and something I don’t plan on doing next year but I got threw it.

My project will be based on the effects of food and how food changed over the years. In other words, food today helps make people bigger due to whats in the food. For example, chickens are filled with drugs being pumped into it yearly. Another example of why people aren’t as healthy as they can be is due to processed food. Processed food contains loss of nutrients, bad absorption, salt, lack of real taste, fats (saturated) and the quality isn’t that great. Processed foods will try and display their positive side which actually gives the customer a false idea(100) of what processed foods actually bring. Over a 100 years food nutrients has changed. Our grandparents are actually healthier than we might think. The studies in colorado states that the nutrient density has decreased tremendously of 40-60% over the past 100 years. Recent study also showed that only 11% of americans eat 2 fruits and 3 vegtables everyday. They claim that this unhealthy combination of nutrient poor foods of a open door for disease especially if its used as a lifetime deal. The main question that people need to ask themselves is “this food given/produced by God or (200)is it jus processed by man?” This question is a way of understanding how food has changed over the years. In the past, people killed an animal, cleaned it and then cooked it until it became edible. In today’s food world, our food is processed through test and chemicals. In my project web, I’d have a before and after affect from the difference food had on us today opposed to the food our grandparents ate. This topic can bring up a debate because even back then there were alot of unhealthy people but processed food tends to be everything we (300)eat. We are taught that the food we eat will gives us nutrients everyday and will help us sustain a good living when in reality it’s not true. Everything in today’s society is processed with food coloring, steroids etc. Our grandparents often had gardens and growing things form the ground up with provides healthy nutrients. The food we have now is actually slowly killing us individuals. If we ate food from the ground, the world would be healthier because thats how the food is given to us. It was never processed to being with. Everything we eat and digest now is man made to get money from us who eat it (customers). This can even go deeper than the topic im discussing. For example, people around the world are sick and not saved because of the man made pills thats given. If the people knew that something small as ginger or macaroot was used in people’s diet; they will live longer lives. Everything from the root/ground is good for the body but not anything processsed.
Reflection
I learned that most of everyones project is based on world problems and how it impacts us individuals. Im looking forward to the classroom discussions and thoughts that people have towards mind and others. I like the ideas I already have for my project but I can honestly say that I will add more creativity to it just to bring more spark. I enjoy letting my mind wander to great ideas that will eventually come out into a success. The ideas I plan on putting into my project is to draw up fancy arrows or birds that indicate a process over time as time flys/pass. I’m going to draw everything because i’m very artisitic and I enjoy drawing in general.
For my project I am focusing on the issue of overeating, specifically in the American culture and emotion overeating. Some questions I am looking to have answered are: what triggers people to overeat, is it connected to traumatic events people experience in their lives? I also want to know if it is more common among women or men. How do people feel during and after they eat? How temporary is this feeling? Another interesting thing to look into is if it is more common in men or women. Throughout my research some things I want to do may change.
Certain things that can trigger overeating on a normal base include, but are not limited to: a life crisis or death, relationship breakdown, family changes, moving to a new place, a change in a job, school problems, and personal failure. Once an individual begins to overeat, there are many things that help to further the issue. One source I found lists some reasons that induce overeating that I had not thought of, but can also relate to and see everyday. Some of the reasons include: convenience, visibility, mindless eating, and social influence. Other sources of overeating that I saw to be obvious were family and personal dynamics. People that tend to overeat or have a serious problem often say they find food as a source of comfort and nurture. When people feel pressured, sad, stressed out, or upset they go to food a source of comfort. When people are done eating, they often found themselves feeling guilty or sad. There typically is not much or any satisfaction a person feels after they overeat. When comparing men and women as to who tends to overeat more, men had surprisingly higher rates. Although women do tend to binge eat more, men overeat more on a common everyday lifestyle. Women tend to be more focused on their bodies then men, which affects the amount of women versus men that overeat. There are many steps an individual can take in order to stop overeating. These include: eating slowly, being aware of your problem, using smaller plates, putting junk food farther back in your cupboard so it is less visible, choose foods that fill you up faster instead of things like chips so you will not eat as much, poor things like chips into bowls so you do not eat the whole bag, and think about what you want to eat before going out with a friend so you aren’t influenced by what they order. I will use this information to help lay out my mind web on overeating.
I like this topic alot because my project topic is some what similar but still different. I personally feel that people overeat due to their environment and what comforts them most on a daily basis. In other words, people can look at food as a way to make them happy; similar as to what you mentioned previously in your blog. Personally if I had to guess, I would say women eat more because there emotional creatures and emotions trigger you to find comfort. I feel that us men would eat alot if we just don’t have a active life and the level of self esteem isn’t there. I can’t really speak on a woman but from observation men and women can look at food as a way towards happiness due to the feeling it gives them. Almost like a recreational drug thats now addicting. I’m guessing that the food feeling is only temporary until you realize that thats what makes you happy most.

Yea people in today’s society look at recreational drugs as a way out in society. For example, if your depressed or just don’t have a positive life of your own you’ll find yourself doing the craziest things. I never experienced any drug because I love myself to much to put myself in harms way. I always felt that these recreational drugs are ways to kill your reality because you may not know how to cope with certain situations. Everyone knows that drugs are extremely bad to the human body but the only thing people truly care about is the feeling itself. People are too selfish with themselves and don’t care about the outcome or what they can become! This is a good topic to talk about to the public because I notice that people use it for the wrong reasons as well.
Typical Day
Only a few people know what it is like to go through a full day in my shoes. Those select people happen to be my football team. I am not going to talk completely about football, but it will be mentioned. I feel like not everybody would be able to handle my full workload of a schedule if they had to, and that some may just give up. Every now and then, I will get someone who asks me how do I find time for everything. To be short and sweet about it, I just tell them that I try and prioritize my time. Now, while that may be true, I never really get in to the full story of how a day is like to walk in my shoes.
I start off my typical days by waking up at about 8:30, to get dressed and ready for my 9 o’clock lift. Since we are in season right now, we only have to lift twice a week, but out of season it is 4 times. So, it takes me at least an hour to do my lifts, from doing what I am supposed to do that required day to doing my extras just to get a little lift on the competition. Then after my lift I go straight to breakfast and try to get some food before my 1st class which is about 40 minutes after. That gives me time to shower and get things ready. Then I head to class, take care of business in there, then go to eat again, and do a little work or take a nap before my football day starts with my meetings at 2 o’clock. Then after my first meeting for about 25 minutes I immediately have another meeting for 30 minutes right after. Then after that meeting I have practice. Practice is usually about 2 ½ hours so we get out about 6. I then shower, then go to eat once again. Once I reach my room, I try to do all of my homework that I have to take care of, then I finally get to relax. My relaxing consists of playing my Xbox One, or just hanging out with my suite mates. After that I go to sleep, wake up, and restart. My days our very time consuming and some people may have a way of getting through it, but me, I just get through it. :)
I feel you bro. Me and you aren’t in the same shoes but we both know what its like to go to work everyday. I can imagine how you feel now into the season due to the constant drills, pressure and everything that comes with it. I swear being injured truly makes you miss that grind; I can honestly say. I’m looking forward to the hard workouts and hustle we usually go through in the spring also. If the individuals that view this only knew the hustle they would probably just stay students forever. Like they always say; some people just aren’t meant to play this game. This game represents life and only the hardest soldiers stay standing.
My Project
My Project
I am really concerned about Common Core in New York State. As someone who just graduated from a NYS public school I have seen some of the changes that we’ve gone through and it’s getting ridiculous especially in the math category. I have decided to research the specific topic of math in common core in NYS further and this is what I have so far. First off I looked at the elementary school level of math. It turns out that it takes a lot of time out of the day to learn the new ways of math. I would like to show this on my map as 2 clocks, one showing a short amount of time (this one being crossed out) and the other a longer amount of time and this one being fine. I’m not sure what creative ideas I have for the map as a whole though. I was thinking of maybe drawing a giant clock and going clockwise with the pictures starting at the top and ending back there. One interesting fact that I found is that even adults can have trouble learning the new way they teach math now. I have even looked at some of the problems and I don’t quite understand them even though I’m a math education major. One way that I wish to illustrate that is to show an adult and a child together looking at a problem in confusion. One other thing I would like to show is that kids are taught a different way until these past few years and are starting to be told what they’ve learned as wrong. I feel like this might have a negative impact on children wanting to learn new things. They not be as motivated as much. I really don’t know how to show this without it being a picture that would take up my whole poster.
I could really use help on ideas of what could make the map look interesting if anyone had any ideas. I think the clock idea is nice, but it won’t immediately express what I’ve learned. So far in brief detail this is what I’ve learned with (pictures). 1. Good Idea (Light Bulb) 2. Could Be Done Better (Don’t have a picture Yet ) 3.Takes up Time (Clocks) 3.Really Complicated and Hard to Learn (Complicated Math Problem) 4. Can’t Learn Other Subjects (Beaker and Globe Crossed Out) 5. Teachers are Blamed (Still need a Picture) 6. Too many tests (Still need a picture). This is all I have for now and I still need to do more research. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate them and if you do look at mine I will take the time to look at your sand give my feedback. I won’t be back on until Monday though if you write back.

I like your project idea because people don’t do a lot of talking/communicating about math in general. I always felt personally that there should be better teachers to teach it. Math as a whole for most people is very hard to digust mentally. Over the years I began to think that I was getting decent at math until I realized the amount of work it truly takes to be successful in that area. I use to look at how we can use math in the future or in other words; ways we can possibly use it. Honestly, I feel as if math is the hardest subject not only for me but for most. An idea you can use can be a child or an adult sleeping on a couch filled with stress. This can symbolize that math can cause your brain to go into amnesia if your over-studying or not studying enough.

I don’t know about you but everyday I wonder what heaven is like and what it takes to get there. My family are christian people who try and follow god’s word on the daily basis including myself. Are you aware or hoping there’s a higher power? Do you believe that there’s a God or a spirit? I would at least hope so because how did you get here to begin with? I personally feel that the earth is hell and God gives/wants us individuals to follow the bible the best we can or at least know the ten commandments. Life is filled with blessings and lessons that I (100)feel are often given by God himself. For example, a couple months ago I prayed to god one night for about two hours. That night I had a dream that scared me and would be a dream i’ll never forget. The dream was actually my funeral but I was in heaven standing next to jesus as I looked down at myself in the casket. Then I noticed, in the dream that my family was the only thing I had left. I felt young, had beautiful memories on earth and right before the dream ended jesus gave me a hug but(200) I couldn’t see his face clearly. That next morning, I truly realized that god is never dead and he lives within us. Sometimes all it takes is prayer and actually taping into the spirit with the lord and savior. One day when god calls me home, I still wonder what heaven is like. Usually, we are given an image that heaven is being on clouds and walking through the big white gates but no one truly knows. They also say that in heaven the people around you are all young and happy again as well. I know the journey will (300)be interesting because everyday we are sinners due to adam and eve’s disobedience towards god when they first arrived on earth. I advise people who aren’t so religious to open your heart and to have a open mind because you can’t live only thinking about you. Life is bigger than you but you have to see it. We all have a purpose on this earth and that’s to serve the higher power first. Im not asking people to be christian but at least having a understanding. I want to make the world a better place and sometimes all it takes is one person to get started. We all serve a higher power and do whats right the world itseld would be better place.
"Appreciate What You Have"
Every day I wake up I realize how thankful we all should be. I know it's somebody out in this world that didn't wake up this morning, missing a loved one or injured in some way. Everyone should appreciate what they have and truly be thankful for it. I often noticed that when we expect things; we often overlook the good it has done for us. For example, something as simple as a hand can give so much help. Recently, in football practice I fractured the starting point (below the knuckle) of my middle finger and it taught me how things can happen instantly. Everyone knows that losing a loved one is difficult enough but when you hurt/fracture a body part you notice that other things become difficult for you as well. Such as putting on clothes, taking a shower, trying to workout and the list goes on. Most of us individuals wake up and don't have the mindset to be thankful for our hands or body parts because we just expect them to work. I encourage people to appreciate the little things in life and to be aware of what you already have life is a wave but teaches us life lessons that are actually blessings when thinking in a positive way. I'm sure if you're reading this, you've been injured some way in your life already but it teaches you to stay humble. I never thought that a minor setback in my hand could mean so much until you realize that's one of the things you need/use most. A lot of us individuals take a lot for granted without even knowing it. Another example that everyone can relate too is estimating our parents existance on this planet. We all think that our parents will be around for a long time but in reality we have only but so much time to show the love we have for them. In other words, make time for the people that love you including the ones that's been their for you since day one. Irz good to have a day to day goals and aspirations but don't forget what has gotten you here in the first place. It can be god (higher power), your body parts that you use daily and everything else that you may overlook, without realizing it's importance. Wake up happy for the blesssings you already have.
