(i have a vague memory of someone complaining about me) but for cool cyclogenic reasons me and my in-sys partner are back

and somehow more complicated. cause it was already our first confusing instance of a not really qpr, but now we're both aqueerplatonic. and anattractional. and loveless. and love repulsed, if we think about it, so i don't really know how to explain that

like we don't even have an attachment towards each other anymore, but something significant is happening. i would still call vim my partner, but we do not like each other. there isn't an ounce of attraction or love but vi is, in fact, my partner

(i think we're the third instance of this actually. we have a surprising amount of loveless arelationships going on)

(i just. realised this is what our ocs are. this is literally what we wrote for them. months ago. how does that keep happening.)

What's the word for "not loveless", loving or loveful? Can both be used? I think I've seen them both in loveless discussions, and I'm wondering if one is more established than the other. (You can obviously say allolove, but I wanted to know about tge non-allo versions specifically.)

We believe both can be used. We are unsure if one if considered more official then the other.

Loveless experience being knowing it's not love, but it's still a Feeling in some genuinely indescribable way (closest I can get is familiarity) but fearing it'll just be dismissed as love when no. It's not. Idk how to explain it but it's not. (It also gets complicated with every other aspec identity I have but shhhh)

Loveless experience is being annoyed at Blue (from deltarune) waxing about love when the blue soul was supposed to mean integrity

We agree, we agree a lot. Like?? Why does he have to include it in every single sentence?? We want to grab him by the shoulders and go: "You know you can live without talking about it for 24 hours a day, right?"

Also, what about his character especially said integrity at all??? All the other flowers seemed quite aligned with their themes, from what we've seen. But he talks about love more then he ever does integrity..

(We have not played Deltarune, only watched some clips, so, we might be wrong about this.)

[he sticks to being nice towards the character you play as (+ their party) there is a battle where he will heal your party up. but we also already have a character who's thing is being kind & healing you so it feels a bit weird from a story focused perspective.]

i kind of feel like Blue & Yellow should swap.

Yellow sticks to his morals to the point where he will punish himself when he is (tricked) into believing he stepped on some flowers.

Theres a battle (the same one where Blue will heal the party) that mimics court, & i'm pretty sure it's Blue who convinces Yellow to hear everyones side of the story.

Yellow has more integrity than Blue does, & Blue cares more about actual justice than Yellow does.

BUT i will say, Aqua isn't patient at all. She goes from task to task quite rapidly. Orange isn't really that brave, they(?) hide in the walls before fighting you, they don't even realize they're a mouse so it's not brave for them to challenge you. Maybe it was an active writing choice for the flowers not to match the soul traits they're based on.

theyre alovespec and cupiolove/greylove/belluslove/demilove and thats why all of their relationships are so stilted and tryhard with a cold undercurrent despite surface level "properness" too them but you, youre not ready for that discussion yet, nor will you ever be

Amatonormativity disgusts me. I hope we see less of it in fiction. and if we're gonna have romance in fiction, make it weirder (/pos) and/or more aromantic

Lemme see one-sided romantic relationships!

Lemme see one-sided romantic relationships where they're both okay with that!

Lemme see romantic relationships where one or both (or moreeee) are aro and don't necessarily feel romantic attraction for the other but still feel romantic affection for them!

Lemme see romantic relationships with two people on different parts of the aro spectrum and they can't really get how the other feels attraction but they work out together anyway and that's cool!

Lemme see non-romantic relationships that an outside observer might perceive as romantic but it's not!

If anyone else has weird (/pos) or aromantic romance ideas please add them to this list!!! I wanna see people have more fun with relationships other than just "textbook romance," "textbook romance," "textbook romance," "textbook romance..."

Sorry to ask you this, but is there a certain differing line between avoidant attachment and loveless?

From what we're reading, avoidant attachment styles seems to be more so a defence mechanism, than simply a trait. Surrounded by fear instead of just a way of being.

Which, loveless people can have any sort of relationships that they want! In any way. So, they may, or may not act like similar to this in their relationships.

While being loveless is, we believe, is not about being stressed at the concept of intimacy, but being disconnected from the concept of love.

Someone that is caedlove might relate to the concept of love stressing them out, or being fearful of it due to past trauma. But that's all the similarity we can really see connecting them in that particular way.

If a group of close-bonded people doesn't identify feeling that their group is a platonic/queer platonic thing, familial thing, nor a poly romantic and/or sexual thing towards each other, is it counts as loveless aswell?

Sorry if its confusing.

You can be in a loveless relationship of any kind. But we don't believe that being loveless is a relationship in an of itself. For example, you can have a close, social bond with others and have it be loveless. You could also choose to not define your relationship with any specific label, and simply say that it's loveless too.

Lovelessness isn't really a bond type by itself, but a modifier, if that makes sense? ( To us, at least.) But you can have an ambiguous relationship that is loveless.

i don’t know who needs to hear this, but you don’t have to, like, justify your aspec identity.

you can just say “i’m aromantic/asexual/aplatonic/agender/afamilial/any other aspec identity”. you don’t have to add on the “but i still experience X type of love” or “but i can still have friends” or whatever, especially because there are people who don’t experience any type of attraction. i’m not saying those things can’t be true, i’m saying you don’t have to use them to make your identity seem more appealing in the eyes of allo people.

whatever type of attraction you do or don’t experience does not determine your worth as a human being, and you don’t owe people an explanation.
