The awesome people at Hawaii Home + Remodeling hooked it u with five passes to the Waikiki Aquarium. It’s perfect timing since Cam’s Dad will be in town with the whole family next month. At least they’ll be able to get some family time for free! Traveling with kids is so expensive so I’m glad I was able to give them these passes. Thank you Hawaii Home + Remodeling!

People in Hawaii love bringing back omiyage or pasalubong or however you want to call it. Whether it’s from Trader Joes or Ghiradelli or even See’s. It’s all the same to us - they’re “gifts” for your friends, co-workers, etc. When I came into work today, there was this huge bag of goodies from Disneyland. Coffee, teas and popcorn. I dove into the tea and realized that I really am a coffee person unless it’s green tea. The packaging was really cute though. Disney has the best marketing team - each food gift is portable and easily broken down to be given individually or as a larger package. Either way, it’s all fun and cute.

This little Pilates shop has opened my eyes to relaxed strength training. I always thought that I needed to lift heavy, run like a crazy person and be at the gym for hours to get the look that I was going for. Pilates is a little different. It's quiet, quick and I leave feeling relaxed yet accomplished. I started going because I was searching for this holy grail of gyms that would encourage me to work out more and be more conscious about my well being. I settled on Harmony Pilates because it was close enough, the parking was great and there were places to go after to grab food. I took one class and I was hooked. They have a new owner and there are times that the classes are so small that it's just the two of you. So it's like a private class without the cost! It is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Clean, calm and a great work out!

Boulangerie Bakery has been my go to spot the last few weeks. Their donuts have this light but crunchy texture to it that's so hard to describe. I didn't really like the mocha glaze on this one but the dough is so delicious. I know I shouldn't eat it but sometimes, you just gotta have that donut.

I love being in town. My two years working by the airport ruined my ability to walk around and grab a "quick" lunch. I always see these posts about new spots opening up and I always forget about them. I finally got to try Fresh Ahi off the Boat earlier this week and I'm glad I got to take it off my Yelp bookmark list. The sashimi was pretty good but the spicy ahi really hit the spot. I wasn't too fond of the California rolls but that was just filler. I like their presentation and they have a cool point system that you can use to get discounts on your next purchase. I feel like more companies should offer that as well.

This is one of my favorite pieces from work. The Aloha Heart necklace. It’ll probably sit a little differently when one someone’s neck but it lays beautifully when propped. I’m hoping that they’ll let me just get the L and the heart so I can make a custom piece.

After picking up Logan's painting from Lana Lane Studios, I stopped off at Hanks Haute Dog's and grabbed a "no dog" hot dog, fries with garlic aioli sauce and a Pineapple Ice. I didn’t know I could love a meatless hotdog so much. The bread, the fresh cut avocados and the sauce made up for the lack of hotdog. I would totally order this again and again and i’m so grateful that I don’t work close enough to this place or I’d be neck deep in Pineapple Ice and Aioli Sauce. Their fries are so damn delicious too. Stop by here if you want something deliciously refreshing. Everyone’s super nice too and they validate!

This kid takes the best photos. Logan and Cam have this little argument going on and it starts with Cam saying "Steph Curry's my boy" at which point Logan will scream, "no he's my boy". It's pretty damn funny. Logan also says: "Steph Curry with the shot boy" - very jumbled but you get what he's saying. Oh the things they learn.

I'm so sad that I missed their pop-up shop this past weekend with The Big Bad Wolf. Hopefully they come out again!

After a really bad experience the first time coming here (basically, we had a reservation, got there and we never got seated) this is my first time coming back and the difference is like night and day. Our waiter was attentative, knowledgeable and even tried to re-fill our water as we were drinking it!

I was a little concerned there wouldn't be a lot of vegetarian options and then I found this wonderful tofu dish that I will definitely come back for. I ate a whole block of tofu covered in some panko/furikake coating and it was delicious. I then finished up with the popular MW Candy Bar which had black sesame ice cream and some kind of candy bar thing. The prices were good and I can't wait to try the rest of the dessert menu.

La Pizza Rina really hit the spot when I was looking for something vegetarian but still delicious. Vegetarian is always a hard thing to find when you don’t always want to eat a bowl of veggies or a salad. I grabbed Cam a submarine sandwich too which was the size of a small infant and weighed as much too. I was a little disappointed in the amount of meat that was in there after we opened it up but the bread really made up for it. My cheese ravioli was piping hot and the garlic bread was so crunchy and had just the slightest hint of garlic. I will definitely stop here again when I’m craving Italian food.
