Had a moment where I was like, you know what, perhaps I'm old enough to need some corny smooth jazz after a day of work. So I started playing this in my car, rolled the windows down, felt a mild breeze ruffling my hair, a relaxed feeling... promptly interrupted by a driver who changed lanes and damn near drove their car into mine, and then in the next minute stopped in the middle of the road while making a turn, so I almost rear-ended them. Did not, thankfully. And I did not honk at them. But. Please imagine the scene: two near-car accidents in the span of about a minute set to this music. xD

FULL SUN
Always, for millions of years, one longer day. Earth tilts forward and the high sun casts that ray of light deep into barrows or among the stones that ancients placed just so to catch it for a moment.
I don’t know, when they caught it, what it was they thought they had, and even less do I know what this can be to us now.
Maybe just Summer seeming all the sweeter because behind the bloom and buzz, we know now Winter has heaved himself awake, and begun his long slow plod in our direction;
Or, it could be the metaphor that just when we reach our glory— even a little before—we start to fall.
Or could it be (and this year I choose this!) a message that at the exact right moment our glow, however distant and long obscured, even long after we are gone, may yet shine deep into the darkness of someone’s heart, illuminating beauties long forgotten?
And the sun is our example of how to keep shining through the dark.
Full sun!

I really don't have much going on in my life, except the horrors, so when people ask me questions it feels like a test of some kind
For all its faults Tumblr has truly ruined all other social media for me because my friends all have Instagram and are all trying to get me on Instagram more but every time I open Instagram there are like fifteen things screaming for my attention and when I get over myself long enough to start scrolling it's like. Where is my chronological dash. Where is the following-only option. Who are these people. Why are there so many videos. Everyone is screaming at me. And then before I know it I'm thirty minutes into scrolling and I haven't seen a single thing that I actually care about. At least on Tumblr when I see stuff I don't care about I know someone I follow has found a new interest.
A guy once very casually mentioned his philosophy on something, it was just a single sentence, but a big claim, and he appeared very comfortable with his opinion, so I became curious, and I turned to him and said, “Oh. Why do you think that?” I asked with a sweet, gentle, curious kind of voice. A simple question meant to invite him to share the thoughts in his head. Nonetheless. The guy swung his head and shoulders back like I had taken a physical swing. He put up both of his hands, as if in surrender. “Woah,” he said, shaking his head as if to clear it. “No one’s ever asked me that before.”
YOU’RE A PHILOSOPHY MAJOR. WHAT DO YOU MEAN, YOU’VE NEVER BEEN ASKED TO EXPLAIN YOUR OPINION???

An interesting game where you are presented with 10 artifacts from the MET. You have to place where the artifact is from and what time period it is from. Each artifact scores up to 10,000 points, and you lose points the further away your guess is and how far off in time you are. You can only play once a day. Thanks to @baebeylik for showing this to me.
Today I scored really well. Yesterday ... not so much.
