in honour of me writing 800 words of the next chapter of torture fic (hallelujah!! i'm so happy, i've been trying to find the motivation to write for months!!), i thought i would share my brainstorm list of hallucinations from when i started writing it three years ago. it gives me a little giggle every time i see it sitting at the top of the google doc.

TW: violence, gore, torture, hallucinations, all the horrible things that the story touches on.

Potential Hallucinations Brainstorm 

Drowning in sand hole 

Bones melting

Eaten alive? Bugs? Like a fly swarm? 

Burning alive (witchcraft reference), potentially ‘her own fault’ like tries to fight something off by using fire (bug link) 

Choking on blood 

Airk dying (kit’s ‘fault’ linked to fire, tortured?) 

Poisonous tears, like an allergic reaction? (add onto another hallucination?)

Back in Skellin torture room, exactly like after the first ‘escape’ to fuck with her. 

Being tortured to reveal the location of the Nelwyn village, Willow screaming at her - lots of pressure. (link to when Willow can’t do the procedure) 

Corpse(s?) um, or something.

Bavmorda - crowning of Kit, confusion over Evil or not, ordering an execution of someone close, maybe the Bonereavers and Jade, nockmaar tapestry, 

Something in front of the entirety of Tir Asleen (wedding day?) 

Hypothermia? 

Something based on the Strangler Dream (revisit the idea of the corpses, but Kit watches it happen? Through windows, she's locked in room, desperately trying to get out and save her friends, chained to face each window in turn, rotating platform)
