What could the #OMY team be up to today? HMMM Korean food, the K-Pop World Festival, UK Regional auditions AND a K-POP concert to boot - EXID we see you! No prizes for guessing right! The London Korean Festival 2017 with Feel Korea is exactly what is needed on this glorious Saturday but what is it all about?
The London Korean Festival 2017 with Feel Korea heralds an official year-long cultural exchange between the UK and Korea, set to bring the best of Korean art to the UK. Korean cuisine, Korean martial arts demonstrations and drumming from TAGO, who performed sold-out shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2016, are among the attractions for families at the free day event, full of the sights, sounds and scents of Korean culture.
The wonderful people behind this event hail from The Korean Cultural Centre UK (KCC UK). KCC UK was opened by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in January 2008 in London with the aim of enhancing friendship, amity and understanding between Korea and the UK through cultural and educational activities.
Here at #OMY we also strongly encourage the cultural exchange and are very much looking forward to today. One thing in particular is of course the K-Pop World Festival, UK Regionals. At 2pm today would-be UK K-pop stars will compete for the opportunity to attend the festival in Korea as representatives of the UK.
While the daytime activities end at 5;30pm do not be disheartened as at 7pm doors open for a concert featuring four K-pop sensations, including Highlight (formerly known as Beast) and EXID an #OMY team favourite. At just £30 tickets are a steal!
