Outlander (the book)

Just read 330 pages of Outlander in 1 day, can NOT put that book down!!! So so good! and so much more insight into the characters than the show portrays, not that I am complaining because I love the show, but the book just has so many more Jaime and Claire goodies, I am LOVING it! started the book 2 days ago and will hopefully have it finished by tomorrow!!

I think I am part of a new fandom… Outlander is a beautiful tv show!

Someone - out of the goodness of their heart - paid for a ticket for me to ride to NYC on a train together tomorrow with a bunch of crazy Outlander fans who have become my friends over the last year and that person won’t take credit for it so I can’t repay her. Best I can do is make a shit-ton of baked goods and dole it out to everyone, hoping she’s there eating it with me.

I have to say that when I’m feeling shitty about whatever I’m feeling shitty about…that acts of kindness like this really renew my faith in humanity.

There may be some wacky Outlander (and other fandom) fans out there. But I have met some of the most amazingly funny, bawdy, intelligent, beautiful, wonderful friends through that book and show and it’s a constant gift.
