📸 from the wimbledon window
mirra forehand defensive slice return is so good
insane tennis on center court rn
if you give barbs krejcikova enough time to set up her forehand you can trust her 100% to hit the most winner-esque winner
barbs inside out forehand so tasty ohhhhh
when i saw the draw i did moan silently because miomir kecmanovic is so so tricky as a slam 1st round opponent on a fast court he a solid server and a very very good ball striker and on a good day he can even carry his national team in both singles and doubles with his goat compatriot (davis cup 2023)
(originally typed after 3rd set tiebreak i just watched in silence after 3rd set) i kinda want to cry (not due to something bad or dooming) just because i can see that jannik is emoting in his own way and this makes me quite emotional and i don't know why i feel that he is quite excited actually
oh wow tjat point was immaculate
i will remember this point
one thing that kecmanovic's done really well today when compared to jannik is that he adjusts really well to the court speed (and to jannik's frantic high pace ground stroke) his timing is very good. you can see that his shots carry the power from jannik's input. like he's hitting shots with jannik's overflowing power.
but he's extra aggressive today on second serve i guess that's cool but jannik you have to do this on a day you have a stable ground stroke (but i think he's adjusting he's playing a lot safer rn)
is that a comeon from darren yes i need a comeon from darren
it's bizarre it's almost like he's not used to his arm having this kind of power. i still think the court speed is the problem. when the ball incoming is that quick you don't need that much power to send it back even for a winner jannik stop thinking about powering through winners stop hitting ground strokes like serves. feel the speed this is your beloved fast courts don't think about clay nowwwww
jannik is overplaying rn is he overcompensating for rg26......too much power on a crazy fast brand new grass court jannik trust your muscle memory
day ONE of a slam and janniksin immediately pulls a hold from 15-40™ everything is back
yeah i miss sinnerball......sounds so good from his racket......
