prom mania.

Prom is almost upon us. Now, prom won’t be till May 15th, on Friday evening. It will be an evening of surprises. Puck will be revealed as the killer of Santana’s brother, but the rest who were there (Finn, Sam, and Jake) will not be exposed...yet. It will start another violent fight between the Greasers and Soc’s, and which Puck will be killed off. 

This is a heads up to plot and connect with one another throughout this week to get ready for the big event! We really want everyone involved, whether the Puck plot, outside the Puck plot, but most of all writing with people in the group (specially outside your norm). 

There will be updates through the week of small incidents to build up for an exciting night. 

I’ll of course do a proper post for prom, the tag, date (again), etc before!

BREAKING NEWS

The power line has not been fixed, therefore power is STILL out.  OOC: We will have this event extended throughout the weekend. If you wanted to post something to be in person, just short dialogue kind of talk (that can of course extend into a full blown para if you want) the tag will be; blackoutrp. The internet is not down, so if your characters have a charged computer right now, then they of course can be on Tumblr. But remember, the charged phones and computer will only last so long, specially for the Greaser kids who don’t have generators and such to keep their power going in times like these.

Santana has officially been inspired by the movie, Project X, and is throwing the party of the year. With the weather warming up and summer oh so close, it’s about that time. On Saturday, April 1st. The event will start at 9 PM EST. The party will rage on till 12 PM when the party get’s broken up and suddenly the power will go out. From the intrusion of the cops, and how massive the party is people are running and trying to hide for cover. Some idiot cuts out a cable line shooting off fireworks right into a huge electric line, therefore no power.

OOC: Cell Phones are on, unless they some how have access to a computer I doubt they’ll be on Tumblr. We ask for you guys to interact through texting, twitter, or something that seems realistic on a mobile advice. There will be para partners and they are MANDATORY.

Remember this is a blackout, so trouble can and most likely will happen. Having your characters fight one another, find trouble and fight others. Break into Soc or Greaser territory, hook up, break up; get creative and have fun!

Sam’s taken a job as a mechanic to cover for his more illegal activities and drug dealing; primarily to keep his siblings from learning what he really does to make money. Sam wants to keep Stevie and Stacey away from the gang life, be it Greaser or Soc.

At first, Sam sold drugs but didn’t partake in them himself. But ever since witnessing Marco’s death he’s been dealing with stress and panic attacks, and what better way to keep himself calm then to indulge himself?

With the disappearances of both of his parents, not to mention all the crappy parents in Lima like the scandals rocking the Fabray household, Sam has developed a distrust of parental figures (except for his uncle) and knows he has to work that much harder to protect his brother and sister.

Screw the cops, you’re damn right I’ll handle it my own way. Half of them are corrupt and the other half are just lazy, the only way to get proper justice is to take care of it yourself. And if another Greaser ends up dead, you can believe that a whole lot of Socs are gonna suffer for it. You take care of family, and they’ll take care for you.

Hell no, you couldn’t pay me to be a Soc. I’d never parade around in their preppy clothes, with those stupid entitled looks on their faces. Makes me sick to even think about it.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Hopefully watching my brother and sister get to leave this miserable town and go on to bigger and better things after they graduate. Just because I’m stuck here forever, doesn’t mean they have to be.

HEADCANON: Finn’s got more a reason to hate greasers now. They’ve stolen his girl and his best friend. So this means war. His dad was a Marine, they’re one of the toughest branches in the military. Well Finn had his own military and the greasers were the enemy. It was time for the SOCs to take back what was rightfully theirs.

One of the ways Finn thinks about getting back at them is stealing a greaser girl and turning her into a SOC. Won’t be easy with girls like that, but he could definitely try. Then others would just fall in line, and those who didn’t would suffer.

Everything that has happened in her life as of late has Quinn’s Christian faith completely shaken. With both of her parents not only cheating on each other but in such scandalous ways, she’s begun questioning if God really exists. It was something engrained in her mind since the day she was born a Preacher’s daughter, and perhaps it was living lavishly and being one of the lucky ones that further encouraged her to believe it was true. Now though, she’s questioning everything. Why would God let her parents behave this way? Why would he let Sunshine die? She doesn’t understand it and every day as something else unravels, Quinn becomes more skeptical. She’s prayed and yet things keep spiraling out of control; she even stabbed a man and didn’t at all feel guilty about it– in fact, she wished it had done more damage. Now she was even associating with the Greasers and buying drugs from them, for her own use. It all feels wrong and unlike her, but the more she tries talking to God and begging him to get her out of this mess, the more Quinn starts to wonder if he’s even there to listen.

Ever since Quinn returned home, her father watches every penny he gives her. She’s not been completely cut off like in the past, but he expects to know where it all goes. This doesn’t make her recent drug habit so easy, so Quinn has taken matters into her own hands. Being highly intelligent pays off, and she has been offering services to do the homework of other students at school - writing their essays, projects, whatever they need done - for payment. They end up with an A, and Quinn gets her (secret) drug money. It’s a system that works for her, and sometimes the extra schoolwork is a nice distraction from home.

ANSWER IN CHARACTER:

A Greaser is dead and a couple of boys got jumped, do you feel bad your gang could be responsible? I’m not heartless, but in this gang-riddled society, it’s only expected for death to occur. Such things used to bother me, but it just seems to be a way of life now; violence is the only resolution, no matter which side you’re on. Most likely the Greaser did something to provoke us anyhow; they knew what would be coming. Besides, there’s nothing I could do about it– I don’t feel like the blood is on my hands. My condolences are with those that loved that Greaser; I do know what it feels like to lose someone important to you. Everyone knows the rules in Lima though, and if they’re broken you’ll meet the consequences - no matter who you are.

If you could switch gangs, would you? Definitely not. I had a brief stint experimenting in that lifestyle, but it’s not for me. I prefer the luxuries of life; not having to worry about how much money is in my bank account, or even having to work for it. It just felt wrong, and dirty… like I wasn’t where I belonged - no amount of soap could scrub the filth off of me. Coming from the long line of legacy my family brings to Lima, it’s pretty evident that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. The freedom to do as I please is one that I will always take advantage of, unlike the Greasers who don’t have such right. I have the intelligence and skills to pursue anything I want, and should that include leaving Lima someday, so be it. I’m a Fabray, so of course I’ll amount to things– I wouldn’t trade that to be a Greaser even if you paid me.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Successful, and most likely in a different country. Perhaps Paris again, maybe Italy. As someone who wrote for a couple of European magazine while over there, I feel I have the experience and knowledge that comes along with fashion and trends. Plus, this face was made for modeling. Of course, I don’t want to only be known for beauty, so after some years on the catwalk and in media I plan on following in my father’s footsteps and pursuing politics. Where, I don’t just know yet– it’s possible I’d return to the states for that. All I know is that whatever I do, it will be well known, influential, and where no one can tell me what to do.
