So I’m advocating that Ems and Jules are besties. I legit think they would compliment each other well and make sure the other gets drunk when those times are necessary or even when they are not. I feel like maybe they got closer after Emma lost her parents.

When they were kids, I feel like Emma would have easily helped Juliet by inviting her over to her house often for sleep over. They’d camp outside probably in a tent and Emma would make Juliet gaze at the stars with her. They’d probably say scary stories and sometimes, Emma would tell Jules that Matt could join the tent after her parents when to sleep, so he wouldn’t feel left out! OK SO PLS SAY YES I SOLD MYSELF! xD

ugh I’M EMOTIONAL b/c these two bonding over losing their parents anNIE I CAN’T. I mean, Juliet doesn’t remember her parents, but sTILL. I mean, she didn’t understand, exactly, what Emma was going through b/c she never knew what it was like to have parents in the first place (although she def can imagine haha) and yeahhh. juliet doesn’t believe in much 

she’s a very cynical person 

there’s no such thing as:

witches (she doesn’t think she should even have to include this one, but apparently people in walcott are actually crazy) 

juliet is a member of the town council, which means she’s been hearing a lot about that last one

tbh her seat on the council is like the one thing she takes seriously

it’s something she’s inherited from her parents and that’s probably the biggest reason it means so much to her

although it’s taking everything in her power not to just start laughing when people bring up witches 

the first time she definitely did laugh and then everyone stared at her 

she doesn’t remember her parents 

they went out of town when she was a baby. she and her brother had been left with a babysitter. 

 when juliet got really sick in the middle of the night, they started for home as fast as they could. but they were in a car accident and died on the road. 

juliet knows it’s stupid, but she’s always blamed herself for their death.

when she was little she used to think if i hadn’t been born, they wouldn’t be dead. 

and matt would have grown up with them instead of their horrible aunt

the only reason that they went to live with her was because she was their next of kin 

that didn’t really make her qualified b/c she absolutely hated kids 

so their childhood was fun 

actually it wasn’t too bad as long as she and matt kept out of her way

juliet has NO idea what she would do w/o matt 

actually she does and it involves a shovel, her aunt, and the middle of the woods at midnight 

but anyway matt is and will probably always be her favorite person he basically raised her

she was so happy the day he turned twenty-one and the bar that their parents had owned became their’s. 

they’ve been running it together ever since. 

juliet’s never really been in a serious relationship

she loves her life and her job and gdi she has a hard enough time taking care of herself and the bar, does she really want a man thrown in there, too?

she works hard and plays harder 

she’s very loud and says literally whatever comes into her head 

hella confident and self-assured has no problem telling you off if she’s pissed at you 

can drink anyone under the table

there are some things she takes hella seriously but for the most part, she makes fun of everything 

including herself 

can be kinda competitive was def a tomboy growing up 

has a great sense of humor but it can def be crude and sarcastic

Although it had nothing to do with her, Juliet has always blamed herself for her parents death and for causing her brother and herself to live with their horrid aunt. The truth is, she misses the pair so much that the only way to ease her pain is to blame herself. She supposes it could have been worse. Their aunt could have left far before Matt was of age. She could have left and taken the siblings with her. But it was some sheer miracle that the aunt remained and cared for the Blue Flamingo– the bar that the Reese family had owned for years. Thus when the aunt finally took her leave, the siblings overtook the bar and called it their own. Having always been the best of friends, Juliet couldn’t imagine a better life for herself and Matt. They pair are prominent members of the town council but they don’t believe in witches nor are they in favor of the witch hunt. And maybe, just maybe, their aunt left for a reason– because the siblings themselves have something to hide.
