omg. yes. yes good. because Abigail also has like a massive crush on Gilbert who is also in the diner at random times, so Peter and Abigail can totally be horrendous obvious but TOTALLY AWKWARD ABOUT IT buddies!

Abbie will slip him extra pieces of pie and cups of coffee like: “join the club, buddy.” and sigh a little.

Before, y’know, trying to gently nudge Greta towards Peter like: “heeey, Peter needs some more coffee, you should TOTALLY POUR HIM SOME MORE COFFEE.” or stuff like trying to tell peter things to say to make her laugh and stuff. idk. After Hannah, I could see Abigail being Peter’s next biggest cheerleader, at least re: Peta. ;D

I HONESTLY HAVE THE MOST FEELINGS ABOUT THE CLARKE SIBLINGS, U DON’T EVEN UNDERSTAND OKAY.

LIKE LITERALLY PETER IS HANNAH’S WORLD. SHE GETS STARS IN HER EYES WHEN PEOPLE TALK ABOUT HIM. HE’S TOTALLY HER NUMBER ONE HERO AND THINKS HE’S THE FREAKING BEES’ KNEES OKAY?!?!!?!

but yeah, no, i def think it’s just Peter and Hannah now. Maybe their mom died when Hannah was born? So it was kind of Peter and their dad raising Hannah, and maybe their dad wasn’t really that great at being a dad so it actually ended up being mainly Peter taking care of her? Which helped lead Hannah into being like: “MY BROTHER IS LITERALLY THE BEST/COOLEST PERSON EVER, OKAY?”

And/or could also see that maybe their dad has been dead and/or gone for quite some time now? I’m not sure how long you want Peter to have been on the council, but I’m guessing somewhere around five years maybe? So Peter would have had to take on teenage!Hannah and all that entailed. (Including her torrid relationship with James Van North, which I can elaborate on for you if Tina doesn’t. <3) Or if you really wanted, it could be like 7/8 years, which means Hannah would have been 13/12 when their dad died and Peter had to start taking care of Hannah.

Either way, I agree that Hannah and Peter def spent a LOT of time together and Peter def raised her, so now Hannah feels like it’s her turn to take care of and support Peter. Which is part of why she gets so pissed at anyone saying he’s a second-rate cop or literally anYTHING bad about him. Because he’s the best person she’s ever met–the one with the biggest and bravest heart and more compassion in his little finger than anyone else could hope to have.

And she’ll most certainly punch you in the face if you disagree.

Her brother’s the town sheriff after all. ;D

Okay, okay -- so I love the idea that their mom died when Hannah was born! There’s a pretty big age gap (like fourteen years, I think???) and so I feel like there’s every chance that Hannah was an accident (but not a mistake ofc) and her mom was really old and there were complications and yeah. I feel like their dad may have been around more when Peter was a kid, but he was so incredibly lost w/o their mom there and I feel like he tried to be there for them, but he didn’t know how and I feel like he had a hard time dealing w/ the loss of their mom, emotionally, and just kinda focused on work (lol b/c that’s literally just taking walks around town but anyway) and so it kinda has always been Peter/Hannah vs. the world? I mean, they did have their dad for a long time, but Peter kinda became the guy that Hannah would actually go to for things?

And I actually like the idea that it’s been a really long time since he actually died. Like in the 7/8 year range. aLSO, I feel like Peter probably moved into his own place after he graduated school and so I think that there were a couple years where they didn’t live together, but obvi Hannah came to live w/ him after their dad died. <3 

ANYWAY, Peter thinks the world of Hannah, okay. And I think he’s something of a mix of a dad/uncle/brother to her, haha. He’s definitely ALWAYS there for her and thinks she’s the greatest person on earth and YOU AREN’T ALLOWED OT MESS W/ HER EVER. Like he’s not a very aggressive person at all, but he is when it comes to Hannah tbh. ;DD

Annnnnddd, idk what’s happening between Hannah/James -- I did leave a comment for Tina about it, but literally whoever wants to fill me in about that first, that’s cool. ;D

okay, so we should talk about them! So at least one of their parents is dead, since Peter has a council seat, but I kinda feel like it’s just the two of them now? And maybe it has been for awhile??? peter’s always loved his job ... until now

but then up until now, his job has literally been to walk around town and say “hi” to everyone and if that isn’t the ideal, he doesn’t know what is

but now he’s going to have to actually be a sheriff and that’s never something he’s wanted

peter’s the sort of guy who will avoid conflict, if he can help it, and try to solve it non-violently if he can’t 

he’s a very easy going person and forgives easily, but those aren’t traits he shares with many of his walcott neighbors

i mean don’t get me wrong, there are definitely things that he will fight for

but for the most part, he’s just like why????? are???? we ???? fighting???? about???? this?????? ??!?!?!?!?!!?

peter’s been under a lOT of stress lately b/c he just wants things to be peaceful again and back to the way things were

he knows that, as sheriff, it’s going to be up to him to help keep the peace and while there’s nothing he wants more, he doesn’t think he’s the man for the job

but damn it, he’s gonna try

he does love his sister SO MUCH and he is definitely always there to give her advice and show her how to do things and smh he def randomly shows up and takes her to lunch/to get ice cream sometimes just b/c he can

now he probably also likes to drive her places since the town isn’t as safe as it used to be

he definitely worries about her a LOT 

i feel like he was in a relationship w/ someone for a long time (like eight or ten years??) and that ended a couple of years ago and he hasn’t dated anyone since

idk if he was married or just was in a serious relationship but yeah

(hit me up if you want to be his ex?? otherwise she’ll just be a made up) 

anyway he’s moved on but he’s been out of the dating game for a lONG time and tbh he’s so clueless and it’s adorable

It has been said that Peter Clarke has never done a day of honest police work in his life. Then again, there hasn’t been a mess of crime until now. While the nature of Peter’s work was once to merely patrol the town and keep everything in line, his work has now been so altered that the people of Walcott are starting to chock up his entire position to one of inexperience. If he’s not careful, he might find himself replaced– a reality he fights at each and every council meeting. Thus, Sheriff Clarke must learn to be a real police officer to meet the needs of the people and thus throw himself into a job he never truly wanted. Peter never dreamed of leaving Walcott but, then again, he never wanted to be Sheriff either. And when it comes to the witches, why, he couldn’t care less. Really, he doesn’t believe they’re out there but he can never reveal this for, as the sheriff, the lot has fallen to him to keep the people of Walcott safe and, so far, he hasn’t been doing his duty.
