anyway since i’m thinking about six again i’m just gonna come out and say i think it’s really fucked up that yall treat literal real people who died as children as blank slates for you to project on, especially completely erasing mary seymour’s name so you can use a real dead toddler as an oc in your fanfiction

i think 99% of the six fanfiction is very problematic…

these women lived miserable lives with little freedom, not to mention a lot of them were very young. i don’t think it’s appropriate to fantasize romantic relationships (and with cousins????) especially considering the whole point of the show is to appreciate the queens for themselves and not who they’re connected to.

i only joined tumblr for six and i understand fanfic is a huge part of tumblr culture, but boundaries need to be set especially for real women who suffered.

if you’re gonna write fanfic about six, make it about them going on tour or meeting their fans! don’t place them in weird romantic relationships/situations and whatnot

i get that fans want representation for themselves, but don’t use real people to go about it.

It sucks to be asian, specifically southeast asian when you're someone who likes musicals, like the amount of support that the arts get in my country and nearby countries is disappointing. It's also sad to think how you'll (maybe) never get to see musicals such as Six, Wicked and Hamilton just to name a few.
