If you're still doing requests, mind doing your headcanons on overwatch heroes trying to cheer up/comfort their sad s/o? I'd love to hear what you think Reinhardt does.

Genji: he gets quiet sometimes himself, contemplating things which potentially lead to dark places, so when his SO gets quiet he makes sure to non-verbally show them he’s there. when it all gets too much he takes them out to walk barefoot over grass or other things, encouraging them to stay in the present with him - and since he’s there, it might be bearable.
McCree: he’s usually the sass-master but when his SO is sad, it hurts him more than he wants to admit. his go-to solution is joking, even going so far as making a fool of himself in front of them. but when the shit hits the fan and the time for jokes has passed, he just silently pulls them close, straightens up a bit to look even taller, and holds them until they’re ready to talk or fall asleep.
Soldier 76: he has seen so much pain and suffering in his active duty time, when he actually lets someone close enough to be his SO, it nearly tears him apart to see them sad. He scoops you up and carries you should you need it, and he somehow always has a supply of comfort food and hot drinks around. when it gets really bad, he gently reassures you that this too will pass, that you will be okay. next time you’re better, in a quiet moment, he’ll offer some advice on how to deal with trauma, should his SO so need it.
Tracer: she’s the one who cries with you when you’re sad, who holds her SO’s hand and wipes away the tears gently. when she was lost in time, Winston had taught her some breathing exercises that she is happy to do with you. to cheer her SO up, she turns on some death metal and screams her lunges out, encouraging her SO to do the same. any confused looks are met with a shrug and a grin.
Bastion: once found out that its vibrations have a soothing effect on living beings. makes deep beeping noises trying to calm its friends (no SO, sorry? :D)
Junkrat: oh, he’s gonna blow that fucker up who hurt his SO. after he took care of you, constantly rambling about how everything’s gonna be okay, he’ll withdraw to his room to build and tinker a custom-made device for you to explode.
Pharah: she really wants to help, but comes off harsh and distant sometimes. so before she says anything, she simply sits down next to her SO, offering her shoulders to cry on. while not being the best talker, she’s a great listener, asking the perfect questions to lead her SO on their own path to figure out what to do by themselves.
Hanzo: he believes in second chances and renewed attempts. so whatever is wrong, whatever worries his SO - it’s not the end of the world and he’ll make sure they know it. to cheer you up, he’ll take you to a park and teaches you how to shoot a bow, simply to get your mind off things.
Mei: she knows a thing or two about being lonely, so she makes sure her SO always knows they’re not alone. while not smothering them, she leaves little notes, flowers or snacks for her SO, simply to remind them she thinks of them. when it gets all too much she creates a small blizzard, offering to build a snowman with her SO or do snow angels. as soon as she sees you smile a little bit, she chuckles with delight and hugs you close, telling you it’ll all work out.
Torbjörn: he likes fixing things, but fixing his SO is somewhat frustrating for him. he’d make a million suggestions, offering advice or help, but if those don’t work out he’ll admit with a small voice that he’s worried sick and doesn’t know how to help. when his SO tells him they just need a hug, he’ll give the most attentive and caring hug they ever felt, taking care of them with the passion of someone who not only builds things, but builds people up.
Widowmaker: she doesn’t show it but she cares about her SO. seeing them hurt pains her in a way she didn’t think was possible anymore, and this feeling isn’t one she wants to experience. not knowing how to help exactly, she’ll just make sure her SO has a safe house, a safe spot where they can let themselves go, spending hours scouting the area and setting up defenses.
D.VA: what she lacks in life experience she makes up for with motivation. she will find any game, entertainment or activity that could possibly cheer someone up, and when her SO just needs a hug, she builds them a pillow and blanket fort in which they just hide for a bit. she also figured out how to make her mech dance, so for a little laugh she puts in Lúcio’s tracks and lets her mech do a robo-dance.
Reinhardt: oh, he gets it. he gets sadness, and for him it’s something that can be fought with the vigor of a hero. he’ll fight for you if you can’t fight yourself, no matter what that means. need food? he’s already cooking you Kartoffelpürree. need something light? he knows all the worst and best puns humankind and omnics alike ever created. need a hug? he got you in his arms, tucking hair behind your ear, stroking your cheek with oversized thumps, massaging tense muscles away if needed. Reinhardt has his SO, in all ways necessary. If he thinks you need cheering up, he’s gonna challenge Zarya to a arm wrestling match or sneakily steal McCree’s hat, holding the younger man at arm’s length while he jumps to get it back.
Roadhog: wordlessly, he pulls you close and hugs you to his chest. when his SO needs distraction, he teaches them how to burp the alphabet. when they need caressing, he gets some paint from somewhere and draws little delicate things on his SO’s skin, taking his time calming them down this way.
Winston: as a scientist, he’s convinced he can figure anything out. but he also knows that sometimes, people just need a shoulder to cry on. he knows breathing exercises that he shares freely and different yoga postures that he might not really master himself but is happy to show. if needed, he gets his SO an extra jar of peanut butter. (hmmm not really too much into giving him an SO)
Zarya: she looks at you, quietly observing your pain. after a minute, she decides it’s enough and takes your hand, leading you to her training area. in front of a punching back she stops, gives you a boxing glove, and simply says “hit”. when you start hitting she encourages you. “harder!” “is that all you got?” when you finally break down, she catches you, scoops you up, sits with you drinking hot cocoa until you fall asleep.
Lúcio: he’s seen many people cry back at his hometown, and he still can’t take it well. but he’s there, offering to explain every hockey league you can imagine for distraction, selecting soothing beats and songs for comfort, or easy pop songs to dance to. will challenge his SO to a dance off, not caring if he makes a fool of himself as long as his SO cracks a small smile.
Mercy: she sometimes sits in the dark and cries herself to sleep, so she knows how it feels. “You can talk to me… or just sit here with me” she’ll say, gently offering her hand. not knowing what else to do, she suggests reading a story, and when her SO agrees she gets something from Rilke and reads poems to her SO in German, soothing them with the tone of her voice.
Symmetra: she wants to bring order and quiet to her SO’s life, so she tries to figure out exactly what’s wrong and what to change. for that, she makes little pro/con lists, prepares arguments and helps her SO sort stuff out. if needed, she goes in for a long hug, grabbing a blanket, cuddling with two cups of tea for both of them. order can still be achieved tomorrow.
Zenyatta: he learned how to juggle his orbs, and he’s quite amazing at distracting his SO. he knows that in order to be at peace, one sometimes needs to be destructive, so he’s always there for his SO in whatever way they need to vent or get things out of their systems. he never judges, simply listens, and offers advice.
Reaper: oh fuck anyone who hurts his SO. need killing? he’s got it. need a hug? reluctantly and rolling his eyes the whole time, he spreads his arms wide open, muttering how pathetic his SO is. they both know he’s full of shit. after a few minutes, he squeezes his SO tightly to his chest, then sighs. he acts as if he’s annoyed, but mostly he’s just worried. don’t ever say that though. he’ll kick your ass.
