there's something about the lines "yes we know that your not her but you were her's. You know what it meant to love her, and temind us so much of her." and how the show applies it to both Steven and spinel.

Yes Steven we know you're someone else. But you're her son. but gem's don't have a concept of children. Possession, but not children. Spinel was was her's. Like an object her's.

"You know what what it meant to love her" And Steven and Spinel DO. Theyve loved her.

"You remind us so much of her" Because they were her's? or because theyre like her? Spinel was made in Pink Diamonds image. Steven is her son. Are they alike? Or are the Diamonds clingly to all thats left of her simply bc its all thats left of her?

there's also something about how steven doesn't sing back during let us adore you. he speaks back his discomfort. he's not playing along. he doesn't even rap back. he speaks.
