summary:

Vi wakes up, her sister's name on her lips. Blinking, she recognizes the dampness on her lashes. Her eyes see nothing. The surroundings are overtaken by darkness, pitch black and absolute. She regrets what has been lost and longs for what could have been. Emptiness gathers between her ribs, and drops its weight down to the pit of her stomach. It lies there, expanding, swallowing her from within.

The cold has made a home out of her and it will never leave.
