what is your otp for your character?: I don’t really have one for Dante. Lately he hasn’t even been hanging around people appropriate for him to ship with. His main companions are Ms. Marvel and Moon Girl, and both are way too young. I think Dante/Grid has potential, but I don’t have an actual OTP

what are you willing to write when it comes to shipping?: A lot of things, honestly. Though I find writing sex in Tumblr format kind of boring and would just prefer to fade to black nine times out of ten. As far as themes go, though, I dunno. Hit me with it and if I’m not into it, I’ll say something.

how large does the age gap have to be to make it uncomfortable?: Honestly, this is one of those things where I know it if I see it. I think a lot of it for me depends on the characters and the dynamic involved, so my limit would be different for each pairing.

are you selective when shipping?: Not usually. Sometimes I’m just not feeling it but overall, I’m pretty open to most ships. I’d just like either a bit of build up/interaction or some OOC plotting before we’re just all like “lol our muses are boning”

how far do steamy moments have to go before they are considered ns.fw?: It depends on the scene. I tend to put posts behind cuts once the pants come off, but that’s more because I know different people have different feelings on what is appropriate nudity. I feel it actually becomes nsfw if genitals start to be mentioned, or anything gets more detailed than mouth kisses and vague caresses.

who are the characters you ship your character with?: Right now? Ummm...I have ships with Daimon Hellstrom, Magnus Bane, Warren Worthington,.. I think those are my main active ships right now

does one have to ask to ship with you?: If things start heading that way naturally, then no, though I do appreciate being asked just to make sure! If you wanna jump into a ship sooner rather than later, I would like to talk it out first so it doesn’t get too weird.

how often do you like to ship?: All the time! I love shipping :)

Feeling their magic connect on the deepest of levels, Magnus wondered why he didn’t spend more time with his own kind. THere was something, well, magical about being with another magic user. As they lay curled in his bed, fingers dancing up and down sweat-soaked skin, Magnus knew this was something he would like to hold on to, if at all possible.

“How are you, darling?” he asked, tilting his head back to look at Dante with a sated smile on his face. "Would you like to stay tonight? I conjure a mean Belgian waffle if you want to stick around for breakfast.“

Dante had never been with anyone so powerful or so intense except Daimon. Magnus felt even more eager to please and be pleased, to show off his prowess and ensure the mutual pleasure of both parties. The younger warlock found himself practically taken to another plane of being by Magnus, and when it was all done, Dante felt like he was floating. Maybe he actually was floating. He was pretty sure they’d made love in mid-air at some point.

“Babe,” he breathed as his wits slowly crept back in. “After that, I’ll stay as long as you want. That was incredible.”

He turned to look at Magnus, matching the man’s smile, before leaning in to kiss him again. “Think I might have found my new favorite bar.”

The Inhuman turned, nearly running into Rob. “Whoa, kid, you okay?”

She knew that feeling well. She’d struggled with containing her powers into early adulthood. Specifically when she absorbed more sound faster than her body could easily process. When she’d first joined up with the X-Men Xavier had given her a suit that helped her store the excess energy.

“Maybe we could get some tech to help you contain it for now.” Alison straightened her stance. “You’re the first person I’ve approached about joining. It’ll take time to audition everyone else so we can work on your longer term solution during that.”

Her phone pinged with a new message. As she pulled it from her pocket Ali added, “If that’s something you want. I’m not going to force you to join just because I want you to.” How many times had people done that to her? She wasn’t about to pull that on this kid.

Dante bit his lip, weighing the options. On the one hand, this was his dream. Maybe not specifically with Dazzler, but it had always been his dream to be a professional bigtime drummer. Over the past year, he slowly started to give up on it.

And here it was, being thrown in his lap in a nice little package with a shiny multicolored bow on top. He’d be a fool to say no.

“Dude, no,” Dante shook his head. “You’re not forcing me. This is one of the biggest things that’s ever happened to me. I want to do this. I just don’t wanna let you or Medusa down.”

Medusa could add another claim on her title. Queen of withholding important information. “Hn. Well that’s appreciated.” She leaned against the now open doorway, regarding him casually. “Lucky for you my contacts dug up some of your old work. You’re good, and I want you on my team.”

She remembered how scared she’d been of her powers when they’d manifested. Blinding the audience didn’t quit live up to setting them on fire but she could sympathize. It hadn’t helped that her own father refused to acknowledge her powers. He’d taken her shrinking away from music as a good thing. Which had in turn emboldened her to teach herself control.

“You haven’t had any training to master your powers?”

Dante blinked. He was sure Dazzler would shoot him down after that. Tell him thanks, but no thanks. When she didn’t, the young Inhuman found himself at a loss for words. She still wanted him, despite that?

“Really?” he asked, blinking rapidly. “I...But, er...”

He shook his head, blinking again. “I had training, but it’s still tough. I only got hit by the mists like a year ago. First time I got to drum after that, I nearly burned the club down. You know how when you’re playing you get in the zone? Takes you to that place where the rhythm is right on? Yeah...I got there and the fire started and I couldn’t turn it off. If it gets too hot, I can’t stop it. I guess drumming just opens the gate and I can’t close it back up.”

The Inhuman looked away again. Becoming Inhuman had been pretty great, but losing his music was the worst thing about it, by far.

One eyebrow quirked up as the singer regarded his confusion. “Medusa didn’t even tell you why we were meeting?” Alison rolled her eyes. The mutant had moved past completely blaming Medusa for the clouds but sans that Medusa still had some annoying behaviors.

She hadn’t planned on making Dante audition, she knew he was good. But considering how shaken up he was by this whole deal she felt like it’d be a great opportunity to test him under pressure. “Yeah. With the shitstorm that’s happened lately I thought it could start some healing, seeing a group made up of mutants, inhumans and humans. Maybe even some aliens, depending on how auditions go for the rest of the band.” The issues were happening on Earth but Lila had recommended some talent too. Plus, if things didn’t go over well here they could take their show intergalactic.

“You came highly recommended so I hope Medusa wasn’t over exaggerating your skills.” Alison rose from the plush seat. “There’s a room close by with a drum set.”

Dante had his suspicions, but Alison confirmed them. Medusa had sent him here to be part of the Dazzle’s new band. That sounded like a great idea, but there was one small, burning problem.

“Oh, God.” Dante sighed and stood up, rubbing the back of his head. “I guess she didn’t tell you, huh?”

The Inhuman looked away, embarrassed. “I haven’t played in over a year,” he murmured. “Last time I played, I started to light up. I couldn’t turn it off. I don’t have good control over my powers yet. I hate to turn down an opportunity like this, but I think I’m too dangerous for the job. I don’t wanna burn the studio down.”
