God, I’m so glad I finally decided to give Tumblr a chance. Even though I’m pushing thirty, it doesn’t stop me from enjoying all these incredible metas and deep dives. My only regret is not joining sooner.

I’ve been a massive Supernatural fan since childhood (it was practically a family tradition to rewatch the show about once a year), but I only recently got into the fandom (literally 6 years after the show ended, lmao, but better late than never) and absolutely fell in love with cockles. I'm an archivist by profession, and this fandom is an absolute dream for me.

I'm slowly figuring out Tumblr etiquette, but I do have this one little habit: I automatically like posts as I scroll just to keep track of where I left off. I also reblog a lot of posts just so I can come back to them later and absorb my much-needed dose of endorphins.

My English is pretty mediocre and I mainly speak Russian, but I would be absolutely thrilled to chat and make friends! 💚💙

I’m not the Anon but I will say, one of the worst things I’ve heard about Jensen is his egging on and contributing to the pranks of Misha, especially in regards to the episode Misha directed. Jensen has spoken multiple times about how nervous he was when he directed his first episode, and how great it was that everyone was supportive to be in. To see how he returned the favor by pranking Misha and making his life miserable during the filming of Misha’s episode was in shitty taste. And Misha did say he apologized afterwards so Mishas quote above seems right in line with not a prank you have to apologize for.

Exactly.

A big difference to me between Jensen and Jared is Jensen has more self and general awareness and realized when he crossed a line and when it was important to apologize.

It will always piss me off, though, what they did because Misha's episode is actually really good and Misha did a fantastic job with it...and then never directed again thanks to the torment.

And, really? Jeremy Carver and Bob Singer deserve a lot of criticism for that too. They could have put a stop to it at the very least on that particular episode.

Just so my own brain doesn’t explode:

The entire point of giving Dean the dog was Dean needed something to believe in. That’s why the dog’s freaking name is Miracle FFS.

I will never not laugh at Sam stans who seem to really not understand why Dean was the writers’ favorite and I love pointing out that were Jared a better actor maybe things would have been different. But you put Jensen and Jared next to each other and to most people the one who shines is Jensen. Them’s just facts.

Every time they publicly whine about how the writers preferred Dean (and Jensen) they just accentuate the fact that Jared wasn’t compelling enough an actor to write the good stuff for.

So weird they accuse the writers of only thinking of Dean as a stereotype, yet they want to rid Dean of something he loves and can be gentle with. If having Miracle around was his one motivation to get up and live another day, so be it.

Ffs, first they want to take Dean’s job application and give it to Sam. Now it’s his dog. Man can’t have nothing.

And speaking of Jared, maybe if he didn’t act like a destructive toddler, he could’ve been given more props or a dog but they were smart enough to know by then that giving him something else to mess with would just cause more delays.

Thinking about that 2016 cockles video when Misha mentioned that they were extending gish or was it YANA registration by a day in Feb because he realized it was a leap year and Jensen was basically like "babe, what about my birthday. That's on my birthday." And Misha had to remind him that a leap year meant his birthday would be a day late that year because Feb would be 29 days long instead of 28 days and Jensen just lay his forehead on Misha's shoulder in embarassment and Misha lay his head on Jensen's head and they grinned like idiots. They are so adorable and messy.

The insistence of Destiel being a "brotherhood" type of relationship is already redundant in the show when Dean and Sam are right there who are literal brothers and treat each other as so. If there's even a shot of a revival and they disregard the romantic tension between Cas and Dean and not develop it further, I'd rather have Cas move on and explore romantic love with another man because at least I'd actually see the explicit representation of homosexual love

I don’t think Misha can handle Cas’s voice anymore so I honestly don’t know how they’d work around it. Small silly detail, I know.

Based on yesterday’s “answers”, and from what my previous anon said about all that was said before about it getting addressed; if Jensen is adamant that Dean doesn’t reciprocate and yet has also said it would get addressed then all that’s left is a “Gee buddy, thanks for sharing that. It’s appreciated. It’s received and accepted just not like that. I don’t swing that way.”

Jensen kept the path of Dean fought his feelings in this scene and it will take him time to aknoweledge his feelings even in nycc during TW i remember something imply it, so if get it we will probably get Dean going through realize and aknoweledge that he allowed to feel this way.

This is so damn true because:

Dean dropped way more hints about his attraction to Cas than vice versa. I've always readily believed in Dean's queerness just because of the massive amount of evidence regarding him, whereas Cas always remained a bit of a mystery due to his otherworldly nature.

Dean is still a heavily repressed, closeted character, and a love confession from the object of his affection won't magically fix that. Dean needs to go through his own journey of exploring and accepting his sexuality before he can fully reciprocate Cas's feelings.

p.s. also, I think that if there ever is a revival of the show, it won't star the original actors because, as much as it hurts to say, they've aged out of these roles.

п.с. а ещё мне кажется, что если и будет перезапуск сериала, в нем не будут сниматься те же актёры потому, что как бы больно для меня это не было, они постарели для этих ролях.

Cassiel, in Christian Extracanonical/Esoteric, Kabbalistic and Islamic lore, is (among so many other depressingly accurate things) the Archangel over Saturn (yes Cas was an archangel. yes he just did not tell them. seeing the other archangels, I can't blame him).

Saturn, if you're familiar with Roman myth, is roughly equivalent to Chronos/Kronos. However, Rome took some liberties with him and incorporated their own gods/beliefs, which in turn became more abstracted and metaphorical as the aspects of Saturn shifted from association with a god to association with a planetary/celestial/hermetic intelligence.

however, the flip side of these aspects (the more negative ones being heavily associated with Saturn the god/titan, but not Saturn in any Abrahamic-religion sense) include: oppression, tyranny, greed/unending hunger, and a fear of death/need to harm or overpower others to prevent "time running out". (I will fact check all this bc its not my main area of study, but I tHINK im getting it right. I think. ...hopefully)

think Saturnalia, Lord of Misrule, Saturn Devouring His Son, but also Saturn as the ruler of a Golden Age of man, as Father Time, as the Old Man symbolizing the past year on New Years' cards, etc.

...anyway I guess what I'm getting at here is its not Jimmy. its Cas. Castiel is what Saturn's aspect looks like at its MOST Modern-American Christian, Holy, Sinless, Restrained etc.
