5 pm thought: he's gay lol
11 pm thought: unfortunately the sad but logical reality is that he is straight and just kind of a weird freak and also a misogynist but it's still beautiful how romantic his obsession with his best friend is and how its psychosexual nature haunts all his creative work
2 am thought: he's gay and he wants to fuck men and i know this for a fact. and also a misogynist
Girl who has increasingly obvious Symptoms over time: Actually I shouldn't put myself first because I'm the Healthy One and therefore responsible for everyone else all the time no matter what

I have now watched Sherlock Holmes (2009) three times in 24 hours (don’t ask) and I would like to formally offer my apologies to Guy Ritchie, Robert Downey Junior, Jude Law and the three (3) credited writers. This thing is a goddamn delight.
I am sorry I slept on this movie when it came out. I was a stupid 21 year old and I thought shipping was cringe. I was wrong. RDJ is a brilliant Holmes, Jude Law is a completely batshit bananas madlad of a Watson, and this is without a doubt the gayest Holmes ever made, since it is literally about a married Holmes and Watson breaking up.
The bedroom situation in 221B is never specified. They have a dog together. They share clothes. Holmes is so so so so mad that Watson is leaving him to marry a woman that he cannot stand it and he is being a fucking BITCH and Watson’s heart is BREAKING and they are very obviously and canonically in love. It is the text of the movie. I am obsessed.
it sucks that the overwhelming majority of medical messaging around salt/sodium is "evil poisonous substance that you're definitely already eating way too much of," because like. you do still need it. (trust me, as a POTS-haver, I've had to completely rewire my own brain about salt.) and you need more salt when the entire northern hemisphere is hot enough to fry an egg on. ever tried sucking down the recommended 64oz of hydration per day entirely as water, only to find you're peeing constantly without any of the purported benefits of being "hydrated"? assuming you don't have another medical condition that causes frequent urination, your body probably needed more salt/electrolytes to be able to hold onto that water and make use of it. if there was ever a time to keep a sports drink/pedialyte/etc within constant reach, it's when the heat index is 110°F/43°C.
Southern folks salt their watermelon for a reason I suppose

and, look, I’m not complaining, not at all, but this is why it’s very important to be abundantly clear and specific with your Etsy witch.

Holy Terror (9x09): Supernatural (2005-2020) [155/?]
There’s a quality that certain books/movies/TV shows have that leads me to say, “Yeah, I can see people making fanfiction of that.” It’s something to do, I think, with how tight the story is, how much feels open-ended or like it could be elaborated on.
Something like Breaking Bad, for example, has low squiggability (that’s what I’m calling this quality). It’s tightly written, the characters are consistent, there’s little left to interpolate or extrapolate. Obviously, people DO write fanfic of Breaking Bad, but it still has a low squiggability score. Whereas something like Supernatural has a high squiggability score. Fantasy and science fiction often have high squiggability scores. This suggests squiggability could also be related to worldbuilding and potential for people to borrow a premise or setting.
And sometimes you’ll read or watch something and you’ll say, “Ah, low squiggability,” and then you’ll open tumblr and find out that everyone else seem to think its squiggability was very high indeed.
Then there will be shows that you'll be like the squiggability is off the charts on this one imma go look at what everyones cooking' and find crickets. Its like the dichotomomy of squiggability you know.
can’t believe i forgot to post the single best piece of graffiti ive ever seen
as a child i assumed that martha’s vineyard was a fancy private vineyard owned by martha stewart and the reason rich people vacationed there was because they were friends with martha
american blackbirds are icterids but european blackbirds are thrushes but american robins are thrushes but european robins are flycatchers and they are named robin because (checks notes) brits in the 1400s called them "robert" on account of they are just some familiar guy who shows up in your yard. hold on post canceled is that really why they are called that? what the fuck. they did this with jackdaws and magpies too? i can't even be annoyed. how human. "who's that? that's bob." fuck dude it sure is.
