hello!!

i'm back from the (semi) dead, everyone. i wanted to give this unnecessary life update, especially since i've gotten a few new followers. so in april, i got a new job, and it's been so soul-sucking and time consuming. i genuinely talk for 7 hours straight and then come home and completely collapse. i've been struggling to find balance and time for myself throughout all of this, and i'm also trying to be grateful that i'm employed because i know how fucked up our unemployment rate is (for the record, it took me 3 years after graduating college to find a job with a stable income.) my weekends consist of either me sleeping and bed rotting the entire day, or having a completely jammed-back day full of plans (especially this past june.) it's been a rough three months, but the fact that i'm lasting this long at this new job gives me hope that i'll find a rhythm soon. my friends, my family, and my girlfriend have all been super supportive of me, and that's always been my biggest strength too.

this all being said, i've thought briefly about leaving tumblr, and i quickly realized even if i left, i'd come running back eventually haha. so! i am 100% keeping this blog because she is my baby, and i still love writing and interacting with all of you. and it makes me happy knowing that even when i'm gone, people still read my work. i have a few ideas still brewing in my personal drafts that i want to flesh out and publish, so hopefully they'll be out soon. as for the requests in my inbox, i'm so sorry that i never got around to them. i'm starting over in there and will have my requests closed until i can get back into the groove of writing, so please bear with me. anyways, i'm sorry this is so long, and if you reached all the way to the end, you rock. i'll see you all on the dash very soon!
