PSA: Goodbye Tumblr, New platforms

You may have noticed that I’m not regularly posting on this page anymore. This is partially due to me requiring way more time to finish one single artwork: I’m trying to work with bigger sizes. 700x700 px x 90 dpi is my new benchmark, when I used to work at 500x500 x 72 dpi until september 2018. Such a change has brought me back to 2012, when it took me several days if not weeks to finish one shitty drawing (it took me more than one month for my beloved Rashida). But it mostly because of one bigger problem: Facebook pages, and Tumblr, are dying. I barely get 3 notes from my friends. Uploading stuff once in a while doesn’t help, too. For these reasons, I’m switching to other social media platforms. I will leave this url online, but I won’t upload things anymore, maybe maybe very rarely. These are my current platforms. 2009 vs 2018

This is a very old piece. It is my first attempt at digital art: it was originally a pencil sketch, painfully made digital by tracing it in photoshop with line tool. As dumb and "teenage" it is, it has been my favorite piece for a while - and probably one of my most heartfelt artworks (I've become progressively "weird" since then). It is also my first instance of queer art, as shy as it may look. Indeed, most of my adolescence comics and artworks are self-inserts and real-life events (how it should be for a teenager)...in this case, I was just picturing the feelings I had for my big teenage crush - a classmate of mine. The result from the balance between "I really really want to translate my feelings into art since I can't vent in any other way" and "I don't want people to think I'm gay" is two guys hugging...except, I pictured the moment before the embrace (I couldn't draw very well - and I still can't but whatevs). Well, after almost 10 years, I remade this piece. I removed all the useless final fantasy stuff (I was REALLY into Final Fantasy Tactics Advance back then) and pretty much all the clothes (eheh), I've tried to replicate the "puppet" feel, and this is the outcome. I MADE MY LITTLE GUYS HUG AFTER 10 YEARS! Sorry for the long post.
