Absolutely, my skills might be a little rusty since it's been a while. But I still do them. First I will need you to tell me a little about yourself, that way I can determine your compatibility with any of the existing species of Pokémon.

Are there any types you struggle the most with?

Water types can be difficult to work with when you don’t like the water much. I will not go in the ocean voluntarily, shallow ponds and rivers are fine.

Electric types generally aren’t my wheelhouse, it’s not that I don’t like them, I’ve just got no affinity with them. Never really trained them, or caught them save for a literal handful over my entire trainer life. Never lived or worked around them either. When I studied, I didn’t focus on them past the basics needed to pass the classes. Just not my thing, can’t do it all haha!

Ice types. Personal reasons, man I hate the cold. I have one (one) ice Pokemon, and have only ever had one my entire life. I try to avoid cold climates, and with where our lab is, we hardly get any that aren’t dual type and sturdy natured enough to not need icy conditions constantly, like dewgong or cloyster. Perfectly fine and dandy in warmer conditions.

This is not to say I do not like these Pokemon, I really do, but they just don’t fall under any of my areas of knowledge or expertise, and often get sent to more suitable centres in cooler areas, that can handle them better.

Do you ever really miss Pokémon you left in another region ? I miss two of my Pokémon who I was partnered with when I was traveling Sinnoh. A Luxray and a Togekiss. They were two of the most gentle Pokémon I've ever met , and that's why when they became really fond of helping out at a Pokémon center volunteer I knew continuing to adventure wasnt their calling. They both have a job now , taking care of younger or skittish Pokémon who are in intensive care ( offering company, Keeping watch/alerting a nurse if the patient needs something ) . I sent letters regularly and visit when I can. I just miss them so much. The luxray especially , she considered me her baby, the sweet thing. She also was pretty much a surrogate mom for the Togekiss as an egg. When we found him she kept him warm the entire time until I could get it to a Pokémon center . I'm sure she's in her glory getting to dote on others, her weird bird son taking after her .

Yeah sure, don’t we all? Some Pokemon have a further calling than training and battles, so it’s good to let them go after their dreams, nice to hear you gave that chance to your old partners. The togepi line is one of the hardest to see go, their natural aura brings joy, so their absence is always difficult and prominent.

I bet they’re doing amazing things with their lives now for sure.

I miss my old Aerodactyl. She was really recently retired to live out her days over on Valencia island, the wilds of the area make a good new home for her where no humans will ever disturb her again. She chose to go there herself, to try to gain the love of the small clutch of her own kind that frequent the island, she’s strong, and has a lot of knowledge, so the group of three took her in as family, and they now fly around as a family, hunt together and help each other. We had been through a lot together, broke her out of a dodgy travelling circus, but sometimes you can see age catching up with certain species, and she was feeling it too, the decision to retire was mutual, working on the island is a lot for some Pokemon.

She was not kind, or patient, or even very caring, but we had a mutual trust that had been built for many years. I still find it odd going to grab a flying mount, and not seeing her grouchy old face waiting somewhere close by.

Gotta let the things you love go be free, hurts at times, but it’s for the best.

About the Giratina berry thing, I think there’s a slight chance it may have been a Solosis playing tricks? They have the ability to transform and spook people from what I recall.

Y’know. It just occurred to me that I, in my infinite gardener brain, didn’t even register the fact that the trainer with the berry met a god. I honed in on the damn fruit so fast, and I am so very shocked that I overlooked the actual Pokemon within that question.

If ever you wonder why I got into grass Pokemon and botany, there’s your answer. I’m obsessed to a fault.

Could have been solosis, could have been ghastly, could have been zorua, could have actually been giratina, or a number of other Pokemon.

As many of you might have noticed, I haven't been updating this blog much, if at all, these past few months; there are many reasons as to why I stopped coming on here, most I will not go into today.

One of the things that has been bothering me, and sort of keeps me away from this blog is my lack of confidence in my writing, I made an attempt at writing my own Pokémon fanfic, a year or so ago, I don't think my stories are or even were good enough to be considered writing. I struggle a lot with self confidence, so I'd appreciate some feedback on the works I've written so far.

hiya! I heard you’re a budding professor, so I’d like to get some advice. I have a Natu(Bananin) and a Xatu(Palatin) and they both haven’t been eating lately. They also, Palatin in particular, have been acting very distant. Do you have any idea why they might be acting so reserved? They were never all that social to start with, but I can even talk to them without them turning away.

I'd highly recommend you to take your psychic Pokémon to see a behaviour specialist, one that's been specifically trained to treat psychic Pokémon. As a fellow trainer of three lovely Natu, I can empathize with you.

But, I can give you a few reasons as to why this very sudden change in behaviour has occurred. First things first, as I've said before on this blog; psychic Pokémon naturally possess certain abilities that could very easily overwhelm them when interacting with humans/other Pokémon, psychic Pokémon have both empathic and telepathic abilities their range is usually species predetermined. Natu and Xatu are clairvoyant, this ability can lead to them seeing very VERY tragic events which might lead them to become emotionally distant so as to sever emotional ties. Don't fret yet! This might not be the reason. They could also be simply respecting your privacy and avoiding you so as not to hear your thoughts/peek into your future.

The area you guys are living in/travelling through might be loaded with negative energies which is polluting their psychic bodies and making them act out/become distant. Anyway, I gave you a quick run-down as to what the reasons might be, BUT like I said before the the best thing is to go see a specialist in Pokémon behaviour to pinpoint/find a solution to whatever is happening with your lovely psychic birds!

Resending the starter matchup request; I'm a serious girl that makes the first impression of being very cold and distant, but I really don't mean to be impolite. I just have terrible social skills and I'm a bit shy and anxious. I'm more empathetic than I look like, really. My biggest passion is art, I could draw all day and not get bored at all. I'm looking for a Pokémon that could provide emotional support when I'm feeling down but could also push me to try new, exciting things.

Based off what you're telling me, I fully believe cutiefly would make an amazing companion to you! Cutiefly possesses the ability to read auras, and a vast amount of empathetic powers, it could actually predict when you're feeling down before you have fully processed, or become aware of what you're feeling.

I warn you! Cutiefly DOESN'T like the rain, but it can predict when it is going to rain so it will ask you to be called back into its Poke Ball or will rapidly seek shelter from it. Although, cutiefly's are natural adventures, and it will help you step out of your comfort zone, they're fiercely loyal and once a bound has been formed; it's unbreakable.

Plus having such an upbeat Pokémon around you will let people know you're actually not cold, and are as polite as they come. Trust your cutiefly's judgement, if it doesn't like to be around someone, and tries to drive that person away from you; that person doesn't have your best interest at heart.
