hello! my name is h, this is just a quick intro thing, tagging system explanation and so on to just make it easier for people to get.
i will mainly retweet from my main art account @ai-no-kokuhaku with tags for each character. however, i will also be posting on occasion sketches or text posts musing; these will never be cluttering the actual main dragon age or character tags (because i am shy and these are things i don't actually want people to see, mostly posting for archive reasons)
tags are defined as such: anything starting with #oc: is my own character, whether or not it's a defined protag character. #npc: is any in-game character. #friend oc: is tags for my friends' characters. tags will NOT be separated by game or by medium, only by character, and any spoilers will NOT be tagged either.
basic character introductions will be below the cut!
Titania Tabris: Dual-wielding Bard Rogue
She's always harbored some resentment for humans that amplified tremendously during the events of the city elf origin; however, she also highly values merit/useful people so will suck up her personal feelings to use people. Very blunt, sarcastic, dry, and harsh. She does not care about sugar-coating anything unless it's in her favor (i.e. to use someone), so she can be personable if she wants to manipulate someone. Over the course of DAO, she learns from Alistair to try and be kinder (which she begrudgingly does). She eases up and becomes more kind as a default over the years, but she never ends up curbing the habit of being blunt. She'd hoped to escape from the Wardens once the Blight was over, but due to being promoted to Warden-Commander found herself stuck in the job permanently, to her dismay.
Krispin Hawke: Dual-wielding Rogue, Blue Hawke
A bleeding heart, a diplomat, a family woman. She grew up managing the siblings' (and being worried to death over the mages in her family) as a third parent and somewhat sacrificed her childhood/youth to do so. Due to this, she's always naturally put up a diplomatic face/kind exterior by default - she never knew who she could truly trust with her worries. She's always tried to do right by everyone and be someone that people wanted around, but also has always struggled with the idea that she's playing a "role", and if she is anything less than kindhearted then people would not want her around anymore (what value would she offer if not that?). The only people she found herself to be open with were her partner Anders, and Varric.
Etienne Lavellan: Tempest Archer
She grew up very sheltered and naive of human society, having grown up around elves her entire life (aside from the occasional confrontation with human hunters and townspeople). She went to the Conclave to try and prove herself to her family and clan and came out having suffered through the Horrors tm and finding herself in an unfamiliar land surrounded by unfamiliar people. She is kind, nervous, naive, and has people-pleasing tendencies. She never truly grows into her role as the Inquisitor (she is stiff as the Inquisitor, and very relaxed when not on the clock); she always feels uncomfortable in a position of power, and was honestly relieved when the Inquisition was disbanded. After retirement, she joined the Red Jennies to work in the shadows helping people, and has a child with Cullen. Due to losing her arm, she becomes a swordswoman instead.
Brandy de Riva: Poisons & Explosions Specialist Rogue
Born in Denerim in the alienage in a somewhat peaceful post-Blight world, she and others are kidnapped and sold by Venatori slavers in Tevinter. The Hero of Ferelden saves this group, and Brandy decides to train to become strong by becoming an Antivan Crow, who she had heard whispers about. She becomes a full-fledged crow and then, due to stopping a slavery transaction, gets suspended and she takes on a below-the-table contract from one Varric Tethras. She boasts a cocky, arrogant, genius-type personality, but that's a facade; she suffers from self confidence issues and fears of being weak and unworthy of anything. She has a very... interesting relationship with Lucanis, who she had originally, after entering the crows, treated as a mental training goal. After meeting the actual man, there was a "never meet your heroes" sort of moment, until she finally reconciled the man she met with the man she had in her head. Basically a sort of like (not really) enemies to lovers situation. Also throuple with Spite.
Gilan de Riva: Crow Mentor
The man who ended up picking up Brandy to join as a fledgling and trainee. He's very harsh while training because she's already late age-wise in joining. Brandy strongly respects him but also has somewhat of a fear. He also likes her like a niece, but is not a very kind man.
They left their clan to join the Inquisition, knowing that the world depended on the victory of the Inquisitor and her party. He was a scout, and worked alongside Lace Harding. After the Inquisition was disbanded, he found himself at a crossroads - having left his clan, he didn't really have a place to go, and not many places were open to accepting elves, so they ended up joining the Grey Wardens as they left to rebuild. He joins around the same time as Davrin does, and they basically become Wardens together. He has a very strong sense of honor and morality, something that he finds difficult at times when serving the Wardens, but also takes his job seriously (helping save the world from Blight). He serves as a Grey Warden contact alongside Antoine and Evka, since Harding knows him.
story wise, i think ash probably figures out they're trans after they join the inquisition and meet the chargers and meet krem, and they realize like oh this is an actual possibility for me and knowing that they always felt that something was wrong but no one seemed to really understand.
i feel like there would be a possibility that he tries to join the chargers after the inquisition gets dissolved? but i need to think of a reason for bull to reject him so that he ends up in the wardens instead. unfortunately i don't think that there is a really good reason at the moment for bull to reject him aside from like, maybe very matter-of-factually being like "we don't actually have space in the chargers logistically, sorry kid i do like you but we can't do it" and they keep in touch instead?
Would it be way too self indulgent to be like, he sees the wardens big fuck up in DAI and then sees them rebuild and he’s like I guess I’ll join them and then he joins with either Blackwall or Alistair… I don’t know how much crossover I do want to be doing with it all
