this side-blog was originally made for re-posting fandom type content but is currently the dumping ground for my hyperfixation on kpop demon hunters (quite the fan of the saja boys and baby saja in particular.) i suspect when my work is done here the blog will hibernate once again.

I know you said pretty much any adult that’s dtf is mystery’s type, but what is it about jinu, specifically, that has him literally and figuratively on his knees?
it could be a couple of things. jinu was the first one he met (well he met both romance and jinu at the same time, but jinu was the first one he noticed) and he is largely responsible for mystery's change in fortune (his new life as a roadie) so he kind of imprinted on him like a stray animal bonding with the person who brought them inside. he views him as the de facto boss or leader of their group, which his subby side is very attracted to, but he can also be aloof and stingy with attention or intimacy which mystery finds compelling. he can get whiny and bratty when he doesn't get what he wants from jinu, but deep down i think he likes that jinu makes him work for it.
Nyaja Abby would absolutely be that cat that has the zoomies 100% of the time and needs the type of space that has a lot of platforms and shelves to parkour off of 😂
her outfit was based on the casual cosplay I did for the first kpdh sing along release in theater. also if anyone is confused on who the little bird is, that's her mascot in my version of this au!

Where does roadie!Baby fall on the nerd spectrum among the boys? Ofc most of the boys are music!nerds and Ro is the all around!nerd#1 and Mystery is of course a Mystery on what nerd culture references he may or may not know. But like who among the boys would be in a D&D party that swore they would meet regularly but fell through at session 2 and who knows the obscure board games when they browse thrift shops (if any of them, maybe none of them are that nerdy)

correct: romance is the king of nerds. i have no doubt in my mind he enjoyed the crap out of D&D. which of course means that jinu was subject to D&D campaigns. i think like romance does with chess, jinu would indulge him (jinu likes it but not memorize monster manuals loves like romance does). i feel like in another life romance would be a pretty close characterization to eddie munson from stranger things: metalhead nerd weirdo.
i wanna say jinu is close behind. being best friends they of course shared a lot of interests, but i think more so their interests complimented each other. for example, i have a sneaking suspicion that jinu was a science or tech nerd (likes tinkering, seeing how things work, and, of course, fixing things) and would repair old vintage music equipment that romance collected from thrift stores and garage sales.
abby is a bit of a sleeper nerd which you can, once again, thank his large family for. he's probably been exposed to a lot of different fixations and hobbies from his cousins. i don't know if he did too many classically nerdy things growing up, but he knows a lot about various nerd things without actually being into them/good at them simply by absorbing it from his younger cousins. he knows a lot about pokemon, he knows plot arcs in certain animes, he knows the rules to a lot of board games, he's read several discworld books, he has a season pass to a planetarium, and he knows what furries are. i'm certain he's sat in on a few D&D sessions, even if he never got the hang of it. nerd stuff he's ACTUALLY into are video games, including old consoles and arcade games and pinball (he's come across old cabinets and cocktail tables in his movers job and has tried to buy them off of people to no avail.) but regardless if he is good at something or doesn't quite get something, if it's FUN abby will do it. he was probably more into playing sports but i bet he would have LOVED LARPing.
baby relied (relies) a lot on his imagination but i don't think he ever got the chance to play D&D (no one in his friends group played it). baby strikes me as someone who did a lot of reading and collected comics/manga as a kid. baby is very competitive so i also like to think he might have gotten into card collecting for a time and won some local tournaments.
weeeee dunno what mystery was up to as a kid. i feel like the boys are constantly surprised at what he's clueless about and what he's borderline expert at. much like abby, he'll just like being included even if he doesn't know anything about a game. i can see mystery falling ass backwards into some truly hilarious/frustrating hi-jinx if you got him to sit still long enough for D&D.

I've been slowly making playlists for the Saja Boys as I come across songs that remind me of the guys.
If your playlists for them are very different, or if you have ideas for songs for mine, I'd love to hear them!
I'm not usually a person who likes to make playlists but I also like to have something to listen to in the background when I write. I'm considering making ship specific playlists at some point bc I have some ideas.
Anyway here's how it's going:
Mystery
Literally no playlist. I can't decide on a vibe for him at all. Since many of the song choices are somewhat roadie inspired I think it's roadie!Myst accurate for him to have no Spotify playlist.
Jinu
Very unfinished, mainly it's just couple of Stray Kids and ATEEZ songs that I like the sound of, plus a couple of other songs.
Some Mad Tsai songs. I've associated Boy Bi with Jinu for awhile, but I added Bite, Diet, and Hounds of Hell.
War Of Hearts by Ruelle. I know Jinu would love Malec, though I'm not sure how he'd learn about the series. I am so curious what he'd think of Magnus though.
And Casual Sex by My Darkest Days, it has BabyJinu vibes to me.
Romance
Also unfinished, and I'm struggling to figure out what other songs to add.

Somewhat generic classic rock, alt rock and dad rock. The longest playlist by far, though that isn't saying too much since it's not quite 5 hours. I won't go over it as directly since it's longer and more varied than the others.
To name a few artists that pop up a good bit, there's songs from Nirvana, Black Sabbath, Beastie Boys, Nickelback, Theory Of A Deadman, Hole, Pearl Jam, Puddle Of Mudd, Three Doors Down, Seether, Good Charlotte, Metallica, Korn, Slipknot, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Blink 182, Three Days Grace, Seether, AC/DC, and Papa Roach.
Baby
The second longest playlist, but also features albums that I really like. I think Baby would be the most likely to find an album he likes and play it on repeat.

Also, when I edit my fics I usually put on a particular artist. It used to just be the Crane Wives but it stopped fitting the vibe, so if y'all are interested in what I listened to while editing any chapters of my fics I can go over that too.
