Hey so this is a question and I don’t care if you spread it around cause I want answers plz.

Modding. Nexus mods, Vortex app, Stardew. I got all that. This is what that pertains to. I do not have the most amazing computer (it’s good for the low stakes gaming that I personally like and want, I just didn’t realize I would get so insane over mods for Stardew alone lol) so it’s not like I can do a huge amount of mods without it being like. Couching like a Victorian child who’s about to ask you for a pence or some shit idk.

I want to do a second Stardew save but it will involve me turning mods off for this next one and adding a few to that save. My question is, is there a way to easily group together which mods to turn on and off for either save? I ask because idk if there are ways to add folders like that on the Vortex app. Like? Is that a thing? Because some of these mods conflict entirely and I CANT have them both on at the same time, so I’m wondering if there is a way to easily group them so I can turn them on and off that way, without actually having to write down a list and hunt those individual mods down one at a time to turn them on and off when switching between saves.

Thank you to anyone who looked into this. Tbh, I wasn’t sure how to even phrase this conundrum so Google was getting me nowhere.

In the end, I chose the hard route. Thankfully, you don’t have to turn off every little mod when getting conflicting ones, so I went the route of opening my notes app, making a new page, and making not of what save has what major mods in them, and what to make sure I disable before I open that save.

Tbh, I’m kinda cursed when it comes to computers, and always have been (I don’t even know what it was but I’m sorta thinking there has to be some sorta technology based learning disabilities out there, luckily I’ve been in a tech family all my life so I through force, know the basics of not killing a computer instantly) and so learning mods for 100% the love of Stardew gaming… it’s been slow going. I’ve had a few ‘well, deleting that mod with prejudice’ moments, but even then, I’m sticking to staying on Nexus and Vortex and re-considering things the moment I notice lag.

On the plus side tho; it is 2:50pm (pls don’t rag on me, but I have mods that slow down time in the game and I truly think that more people need these mods because I would hate all the extra mods I have if I didn’t have this because. Stardew for me is about exploring and you can’t do that if the day is done in 20 minutes) and I already have the first backpack upgrade. Niiiiice

Just found out that in Stardew Valley Expanded, you get the sewers key from Marlon (and you have to be at 2 hearts with him, be in the adventures guild and also enter the guild on a rainy day) to get into the sewers. …I don’t normally dislike many SDVE aspects, I normally love them… but why did they do that? I’m all the way into winter and I have to wait til spring to get a cutscene to enter the sewers now, I’m so annoyed I’ve been artifact hunting like CRAZY thinking I must not have enough (I have nearly all of the SDV base area ones, if not all of them) for like three irl days now (and it takes me between 3-5 hours to complete and in-game day btw so I’ve got over a week of play if I’m consistent to get into the sewers in spring) because I was convinced I didn’t have all the artifacts.

Why would they change the method of getting the key AND make it so you have to go to the guild under Specific Conditions just to get the key??????? Why did they choose that one???? Here I am trying not to look for hints and shit because I want to discover new things for myself, meanwhile I’m over here progressively getting more and more worried that one of my mods had broken the base game and I was gonna have to isolate and delete that one 🙄
