Boudreaux insisted on his 5am run this morning. The wind chill was -15 and I do not own enough clothes for that!

Fortunately, Aunty Stacy had the warming center open and we were able to take frequent breaks.

The boy had a fantastic run though. The doves were bedded down low because of the weather, so pretty much every bush or tree we passed exploded with doves and he thought that was awesome!

100% forced workout today. Did not wanna do it. Did not wanna do burpees. But Christmas is coming and I’m gonna eat all the things!

I’m not forcing myself to workout because of extra calories, but because self discipline brings its own reward, and I will not be exercising my self control at my parents table.

It's hard to understand why Christmas came to be a big deal, even for people who have never stepped foot inside a church, without understanding the context

This was published a little late for me to put everything into perspective last year (most of my families celebrations were early). But after I read it, I promised myself I would read it every year. I will most likely be queue-ing this link up several times throughout the season, mostly to randomly remind myself to take the time to realize what’s going on around me.
