And for the people asking “Well if you don’t support it irl then why would you like it in fiction?!” Because when it’s happening irl real people are suffering and dying and that’s horrible and I’d never want that. But when it’s fiction, when no real people are being hurt or killed, it’s interesting to explore the experience, the effects it may have, and to an extent experience the emotions involved without actually having to experience the horrible thing. You explore scary, dangerous things from a safe distance.

Just a continuation cause I'm not done talking about them yet 🤧then I'm done for now....but the last one, I highlight peat acting, and here I think fort as well. When Sky is opening up about everything, you see pai intensively listening, not interrupting. Even as Sky is talking down on himself, self depreciating pai doesn't interject he let's sky speak on how he feels what he's been feeling. It doesn't mean he agrees with him, but he can empathize with sky here. As good as pai is being emotionally available, he doesn't judge him here. And so when pai is obviously choked up trying to stay strong for him and pours out this deep sorrow that he wasn't there then, and sky being the one to reassure him after he had Just retold that horrible part of his past, he consoles him here and tells him that it wasn't too late cause look at where they are now. He's sitting with the man he loves, and he just opened up this part of himself, and he's happy that it's with him no one else. He's happy so happy that he doesnt think it can get better or he'll be fearful but pai telling him he wouldn't even have to be scared cause he'll make him happy alwas with no fear in sight! They are ready to live this life to its fullest, and the way this scene was just done in such a sensitive understanding for the person watching it is just 🤧👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

the amount of ways we have to qualify the geoncide in gaza in order to get people to care is actually sickening to me. “it’s a feminist issue!” “it’s a disabilities issue!” “it’s an environmental issue!” like i’m sorry but even if this was happening solely to able bodied men and was causing no harm to the environment, it would still be wrong because it’s a genocide and these people are being bombed and killed and starved every fucking day. you shouldn’t need an extra label to give you a reason to care about people that are dying.
